Day 1 Seven Scrapwood Challenge Videos in Seven Days. Check back tomorrow for the next one! :)
Merry Christmas! Thanks for all your great videos! I'm starting to get more serious about 'fine' woodworking rather than general home repairs and restorations and your videos have given me lots of great ideas with how to do that on a budget!
Yes one every day!! I love these videos!
Finally! It has been while since your last video! I am looking forward to your next scrap wood challenges! Be blessed!
In my book there were woodworking skills involved.
Yay scrap wood challenge!!!!! Love these Neil thanks
When you think about it, this is basically a snowflake made from really thin home-made plywood, totally woodworking! :D
Excellent point!
Alternative title: Man bastes bacon rashers with Greek yoghurt
Hahaha! I see where you went with that,,,,,,,, good one👍🏻
👌
Mmmmm 🥓🥓🥓 🤤🤤🤤
No, no... that video has a totally different intro.
I'm sure it exists somewhere already.
Mmmmmm.....bacon....
Who says it isn't woodworking? Great stuff. I'm looking forward to the rest of the videos
What better news can there be, 7 days of scrapwood challenge, i'm already excited! 👌🏼👌🏼
Erm! 8 days perhaps 🤭🤭
My first thought too. 7more vids!!!
I had an uncontrollable urge to make a bacon sarnie while watching this....
Educate me please, WHAT is a bacon sarnie? Sounds good, smoked meat is always a good choice, add a hog in to the mix, and we are in heaven.
I thought of likening your comment but! Must insist on disliking due to the fact........ you did not share your bacon sarnie with me🤔😉😂🤣😂, ok 👍🏻 I liked anyway for the thought of bacon
@@dmg4415 It's a bacon sandwich.
MMMMMMMMMM - bacon. Now I have to go make some!

Love the camera on the plain, watching the shavings curl and the sound.
I shot that with my phone and it came out much better than I thought it would! :)
You missed your pun here in thought it 'WOOD'!
So totally loving this!
That’s beyond cool! And indeed, hot glue is the clear choice here... though I imagine pop rivets would be great if you wanted added permanence and badass bling.
It's going to be a good week.
Another Scrap wood challenge!!!!!
Everything about that makes me happy🥳
Seeing this pop up in my notifications made me super happy!! Great Video and thank you Neil!!
On the first day of Paskmas my true Neil sent to me...
Why does hearing the scrapwoord challenge intro make me so happy? Almost feels like coming home
Not sure but it makes me happy that it makes you happy! :)
Wow, beautiful. Difficult for me to comprehend anything so lovely as made from scrap wood. It looks top shelf.
That's really clever. Amazing results .
I was missing the old scrapwood intro.
Not seen you use it in ages.
Thanks for showing us this. I have never seen this kind of star before. Thanks to your instruction I've learned how and will be teaching my grandchildren
This was the video when I decided I need a hand plane! That sent me down a rabbit hole of woodworking ideas and hoarding and the upgrade of my workshop with the intermediate goal of doing these snowflakes for Christmas 2024. I’m still some way to go with being able to properly use the plane, but I’m still hopeful.
Well I'm blowed! A curvy wooden snowflake! Keep pushing those boundaries, Mr Pask!! ❄️🌳❄️🌳
You’re working with wood, so it is proper woodworking. It just isn’t carpentry.
But what if you glue this to a door? Now it is carpentry too!
Very nice and of course it’s a Woodworking project you’re working with wood and making a good job
Pask brings some much needed Christmas cheer! I don't know how he keeps coming up with new ideas for the scrapwood challenge, but I'm sure glad he does.
That is possibly the best Christmas woodworking video I've ever seen. Great Job!
That was such a cute and wonderful build! I can't wait for the other six! 🥰
I love this project. Even though I don't have a plane or the wood, I can still make some with wood-grain contact paper. Thank you for sharing this project - it'll look great on my porch. I'm looking forward to the next ones.
That gives me a warm smile inside. Your creativity and skill are a joy to watch. Merry Christmas indeed!
That was some great WOODWORKING! Glad to see you back and look forward to more scrap wood challenges! Merry Christmas.
Can we all agree to call you The Wizzard of Aus from now on ? This is quite magical !
Everything you make is so beautiful. Can’t wait to see the rest of the snowflakes.
found it remarkable you are developing a new way of showing your craftmanship off I am proud you are outside of the build practices of woodworking
Watching you lay out the shavings made me hungry. It looked a lot like bacon strips. 😁
I love it, and the simplicity. I look forward to making some of these with my daughter. I also look forward to daily videos for the next 6 days! Great work, sir.
cant wait for a full week of the stuff you make, its always such a treat to see you make beautiful pieces
Very nice indeed Neil. I've never seen these snowflakes before, so I'll have to have a go at making some... even if it is only using paper or card :)
I don't have a plane so paper will have to do! I can hang them in my windows.
Technically, paper is wood, so ...
Absolutely, this is a proper woodworking project. You worked the wood using a plane and other tools. loved it and thanks for sharing.
Great project, thanks for sharing, and merry Christmas!
Brilliant project! Merry Christmas!
I like the project and I love your inventive experimentation we see on many of your projects.
What an elegant rustic ornament--perfect for a Christmas at home wherever one is in the world! Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas!
Please never apologize for having fun. Love all your videos. Best of the season to you and yours.
I absolutely love this!
I might try this with 'wood grain' adhesive book plastic and some red paper.
Or then again, I might go find that low-angle plane and some nice offcuts.
I Love It!...Merry Christmas Neil!
Beautiful! Amazing! A fine job! Well done to you, sir! Merry Christmas and may God bless you and yours.
Seven days of videos from you is a real Christmas treat indeed. I hope you and your family are safe and happy.
Really awesome idea! I did something similar with some acrylic dimensional letters. I used planed pieces of oak and walnut to 'laminate' the letters very similar to what you just did, except I used 0.5mm clear polystyrene to glue them to. I found out it's soooo much easier to iron the strips first before gluing, saved me a ton of time.
Loved it. Can't wait for the others. Merry Christmas.
Absolutely fantastic! Can't wait to do this one for all my family and friends.
One of the things I like about you and your videos Neil, is how you get this excited smile on your face as the project comes together at the end (9:57 this time) well done.
Amazing, Neil. Merry Christmas!!!
Plane cam - a great addition to the channel
Great to hear the scrapwood song again
Pask, simple and creative as always. Number one ideas, thank you!
That is totally proper wood working. It is made of wood and it looks great! That makes it proper if you ask me.
I find that watching your videos has a calming, peaceful effect on me! Thank you, and have a
Merry Christmas!
And a very Merry Christmas to you my friend... thank you !!!
I loved the original scrapwood challenging... thanks for bringing it back for the holidays
Loved it. Looking forward to the next 6!
Pask thank you so much for all the videos this year one of the few things that I think help me a sane in 20/20 hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday
some 12v lightbulbs in there and a different methode for putting them together and you have a perfect light for above your dinning table or breakfast bar, nicely done
That's wonderful Neil I love it. Looking forward to the following videos mate. Great video buddy
The veneer is gorgeous!! I may use just that part for future projects. Thanks for a great idea!
Thank you for not doing another boring CNC carved holiday ornament video available for purchase on the maker's website......brilliant scrapwood project! Merry Christmas Neil!
Merry Christmas! Always love your videos. Best wishes to you and yours!!
Merry Christmas to you too. Lovely!
I think the snowflake looks great. Definitely a cool use of scrapwood.
Wonder if you steam ironed the shavings first might make the glue up on to the paper a bit easier.
Maybe but it wasn't too difficult anyway. I do think making the individual squares was easier and more manageable though. :)
It's wood. It looks like work... It's workworking. 😎
Whoa, that bacon snowflake is seriously gorgeous!
Actually, this looks like a great papercraft project to do with kids at church. Thanks!
That is gorgeous, I can't wait to see what is next.
Truly a woodworking project, It's wood and you are working it.
So cool. What a great idea Pask. You rock. And a Merry Christmas to you.
That’s pretty cool look forward to the rest merry Christmas thanks for sharing
Great job loved the hole lot. Can’t wait for tomorrow one
And in the end it yields a a very complex and beautiful decoration. Nice work!
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! That came out very nice, what a cool idea too! Thanks for the upload
This is amazing. The beauty of the grain and color would work on other projects as well.
7 videos in 7 days?!?! Hell yeah!!!!
Neil another cracking idea 💡. Really easy to make but that said... Honestly how many people would have even had the idea to even try to make the star's this way?.
Not many if any at all!!!.
As always Neil now I'm looking forward to seeing the next scrapwood challenge episode 💯% 👍🇬🇧.
What a lovely piece. Well done, sir. Well done!
2:15 Don't worry about what is and isn't a 'proper' woodworking project - personally I enjoy all your content, it's always creative and entertaining and I always come away feeling like I learned something new. Happy Holidays Neil.
Well done Neil! Beautiful!
That is a lovely decoration. And I'm quite amused that you're making a snowflake in the middle of the Australian summer.
Also funny when you see 2m high blow up Santas, and dolphins pulling Santa and his sleigh :-))
Aussie snowflakes are not so easy to offend as the European or N American snowflake.
really enjoyed this one, looking forward to the rest of the series. happy holidays! ❄️☃️
Beautiful and creative. Who knew hand planer shaving could be used for crafting. You never cease to amaze. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Simply gorgeous! Merry Christmas.
Brilliant as always. Merry Christmas.
1. That was amazing!
2. What a Christmas present...a video per day until Christmas
3. Will be waiting for tomorrow's video.

As the wife would say and excellent DUST COLLECTOR - Wood Origami
An excellent project and a superb decoration. All I did in the past was use paper to make chains.
All the best to you and your family.
That’s absolutely beautiful. Great project.
