I loved the ending to The Dark Knight Rises Bruce survived because he fixed the autopilot and The Bat flies between like 500 or 1000 mph. So he was far away enough to survive the explosion. And also Bruce knew when Alfred would be at the restaurant because he told Alfred told him. So I thought the Dark Knight Rises had one of the best endings to movies.
    P.S.
I also like the ending to Halloween Ends. But I didn't really like Halloween Ends but the ending I personally liked.

Makes sense to me. Fix autopilot, bail out. Even if Alfred didn't say a word he would have booked airline tickets, made reservations etc, not a hard thing for Bruce to figure out. The bigger mystery is why Bruce would appear in public when the whole world knows what he looks like. Further down is a comment that this is all in the afterlife, how do reply to that?

That’s not what pissed me off about Rise of Skywalker. What pissed me off is that essentially Disney decided to wipe out the entire Skywalker bloodline and made that their ultimate purpose essentially was to basically ensure Palpatine’s bloodline through Rey. It matters not whether she refers to herself as a Skywalker or not it’s basically Disney wanting to eliminate the family that was quintessentially the main focus and story of Star Wars in favor of their own characters even if that character is poorly developed and related to the main villain in all the trilogy movies. In other words Palpatine’s bloodline lives on but not Anakin’s.

I disagree with the Dark Knight take. Don’t get me wrong, there was plenty of problems with it ( timeline issues, Talia’s community theater level death scene, etc.) but everyone ended up getting what they ultimately wanted. Bruce either sacrificed himself for Gotham or he saved Gotham, got the girl, and got to live out the rest of his life without having to be Batman. Alfred got what he wanted because whichever way it played out Bruce finally found his peace and Alfred completed his duty to the Wayne family. Same as inception, in the end it didn’t matter what the reality was if they found their own peace in whatever they believed the reality to be. AND both scenes have Michael Caine in them 🤯

The Rise of Skywalker (2019) was a trainwreck, there's no doubt about that. Much of the problem was the unrealistically rushed schedule but Bob Iger that gave the movie no real structure where having Rey being Palpatine's granddaughter being an almost last minute decision.
And Carrie Fisher's passing didn't help either where having her under a blanket felt more awkward than Bela Lugosi's passing for Plan 9 From Outer Space (1959).
But I often criticize the critics if they traded their brains for weed over them criticising Poe not knowing how Palpatine returned.
He's a pilot, not a scientist for Christ sake!
But I found the ending more satisfying as, "Rey Skywalker," saying the Palpatine line has ended, and the Skywalker line continues. A line that brought hope, and one of the few bright spots in the movie.

Easy, happy endings may be comforting, but they are too simple and undemanding. Movies are not always to comfort us - sometimes they should make us think, shock us, move something inside us. The tragedy of man killing his family only to be rescued the second after is way better than "the monsters ate them, the end" or "they got rescued and lived happily ever after, the end" cliches.

I saw this so differently than so many people. Um, I didn't expect it either, and I didn't like it either, but Disney decided to have Palpatine win all the Star Wars in the end.
      Think about it...
Palpatine told Anakin at the theater how he used Midichlorians to impregnate Anakin's mother. I suspect Palpatine wanted to use Vader's body to overcome the physical ravages of using the Dark Side of the Force (combined with aging) before Obi Wan trashed Anakin's body, then Luke refused to let anger consume him enough to kill Palpatine, Sith need their students to kill them to pass on their power, there can be only 2 at a time, so Palpatine tried cloning, which kept failing. Finally he "somehow returned" and made a new son who (for whatever reason) didn't kill him, then he found his hidden granddaughter and got her to get so angry that she killed her only family member, the one thing she ever wanted, which allowed Palpatine to finally take control.
      TLDR:
Palpatine finally got his "Young Skywalker" vessel (body) to possess. Everything is fine. The Dark Side won.

That I can get. Sure seems close enough that there would be fallout. And as many have pointed out in here about them being at the restaurant at the same time?
