This is the very best rendition. Best tempo. Bang on the pitch and no climbing up and down. I can listen to this over and over again. It's perfect.

I sang this Requiem with my college choir over 32 years ago. It all came back to me including the Latin.

I just saw/heard this for the first time. I'm totally blown away! I worked as a professional classical musician for many years and am extremely picky about voices and singing style and quality, BUT this voice fits this piece perfectly in every way. If everything Mr. Powell does is as fantastic as this, I would love to hear more of him.

That's all? You were just warming us up--where's the rest of it?! You're terrific, but the saying "Leave 'em wanting more" doesn't mean stop after the first third! Deliver, baby--please post the rest of this! "Cruelly incomplete," the other reviewer said, and he or she was RIGHT!

I personally prefer it with less legato, to go with the punch and suspense in the orchestra, but regal of a singer... Yammmeh
