This was another great prequel to a Super Bowl to come in February
Super Bowl 42 was more magical and historic a season, but this 2011 season, including Super Bowl 46, was Eli's best as a pro. He set the record that year for most fourth-quarter comebacks by a QB.
Nobody talks about the beatings he took just to get to that SB
@@jonsnipe5484 he beat a 15-1 Packers team. Impressive 👏
@jonsnipe5484 the 49ers gave him a beating but he kept getting up what a LEGEND
@@boris2997 HELL YEAH 💪💪💪
@@malachibanks6357 he also beat Brett farve packer in -0 degrees.. tough SOB
Can’t believe this 12 years ago
Ahh Eli manning did it to Tom Brady again before Super Bowl 46 , these were great great times to be a Giants fan 💯💯💯💯💯
Can’t believe this was 12 years ago.
Time flies.
Fr a classic underrated game
This was in the same 4 PM timeslot on the same day as that Rivers/Rodgers offensive pointfest that NFL Throwback uploaded on Friday
FOX must have drawn some big ratings/viewers that Sunday with those 2 games
(Heck even the other late game, Rams/Cardinals, had Patrick Peterson's 99 yard punt return walkoff TD)
2011 was a legendary season
One of my favorite seasons since I started watching the NFL in 2008
Little did we know that this will be a preview to super bowl XLVI
Very Weird, how the
Giants faced the Patriots during regular season before facing them in both Superbowls.
For one Sunday, Jake Ballard played like Mark Bavaro
This was his finest hour, but he was actually fire that whole season. Definitely a safety net for Eli
Eli was that guy and the defensive line was one of the greatest ever. To think Linval Joseph was a reserve is crazy. Miss these teams.
Eli "Brady knows now that I'm a beast and he'll never forget those 2 Ls in the Superbowl."
82 Wins with a payroll of $278 Million 😂
@PACNYY Funny…how super bowls wings are “team wins” when bashing Brady yet now count as QB wins when wanting to boost another QB legacy.
The hate still lives on.
Psst: In both SB wins by the Giants Brady put the Pats ahead with 4 minutes left (First Game) and 2 minutes left (Second game) and how bout them Yankees? Hahahaha
@@345optimusprime No hate. Giant fans respect Brady and we hold Belicheck in high regard too since he was the DC in both our Super Bowl wins in 86 and 90. And it's silly to say "Eli owns Brady". Eli and Brady don't go against each other. Still, Pats fans have their own hate too. Call the Giants lucky in both Super Bowl wins over them. Facts are the Giants outplayed them both times. Not dominated, but definitely outplayed them. Both games the ball was in Eli's hands with under 3 minutes to play. Both times Eli led his team to the winning TD. Not unlike this game! I watched it. Man, the Giants and Pats that season were like Ali and Frazier, just punch, counter-punch, gave no quarter. Really fun for Giant fans to watch.
Those Fox graphics are 🔥
That Era of The NFL >>>>>>>
This was the epitome of Brady's luck vs Eli manning lol a forgotten classic
This was the epitome of Brady's luck vs Eli manning lol a forgotten classic
Eli Manning whatever you want to say about him later in his career but there's no denying him having to Superbowl Championship wins against Brady.
Imagine if he actually went to the Chargers like he was supposed to
@@nathanboolin Then we wouldn't see him beat the Pats in the Super Bowl.
People tend to forget he was incredible in those 2 SB runs.. 15 TD's ,2 INT's and 2000 yards passing. Walked into Lambeau Field and outplayed both Favre and Rodgers on route to get to those Super Bowls
Prime Brady too
take me back to this era PLZZZZ
Back when I got loaded every day
Back when pats giants actually meant something
13:40 Love how hyped Victor Cruz got over that penalty call
I forgot how unenthusiastic Joe Buck was
Weird how he seems to have improved
@@HawkingRegime13 And all it took was him nearly losing his ability to speak that same year actually. It's kinda hard to tell but he was still recovering. It was more obvious during the 2011 World Series.
I remember when this game was played. I was a freshman in high school. It was seen as a big deal bc it was these teams’ first matchup since Super Bowl 42.
This foreshadowed the SB at the end of this season.
From Super Bowl XLII on February 3rd, 2008, until November 15th, 2015, the New York Giants were undefeated versus the New England Patriots. 💪
the great irony / poetry of sports that Eli was the "lesser" Manning brother but had Brady's number during this stretch of time
I know a lot factors into that, defense, luck etc but he showed up when it mattered
Peyton Manning 3-1 against Tom Brady in the AFC Championship games (3-2 overall against Brady in the playoffs). The Manning bros are 5-2 against Brady in post season play.
2011 season of Eli’s was the best. This game with that game winning drive was just one of many examples where he closed out games (albeit a 9-7 record to win the division)
Eli was Never as good as his Brother but still a Great Baller. The obvious comparison to Peyton always Made him Look weaker than he was. Eli had That clutch guy in him
Peyton was never as good as Eli in the Super Bowl.
Eli had the better defense that bailed him out unlike Peyton too
New York Giants Against New England Patriots Last Meeting In 1990 Thanks For Uploading
Eli is the Patriots’ kryptonite.
Fr
Brady’s kryptonite
I Miss Eli Manning And Tom Brady
Eli Manning and Tom Brady were among the NFL's best quarterback rivalries. Eli Manning is the only quarterback in NFL history to beat Tom Brady twice in the Super Bowl.
We took Eli for granted 😭
and we took brady for granted! 20 years of the patriot's dynasty will never ever be duplicated!
Miss this era of the NFL
To think the Giants ended up having an extremely shaky rest of their regular season after this game. They went 3-5 after this game but those three wins came right at the end and that's all they needed to kickoff their 2011 Superbowl run.
defense was horrible down that stretch too
And Eli would do it to Brady for a THIRD time in Super Bowl XLVI the following February.
Does it to Brady is crazy😂😂😂
When you beat the GOAT 🐐 not once but TWICE in the Superbowl in dramatic fashion both times you should automatically be a HOF no question
@jalensmith4751 Funmy Super Bowl wins are being counted as “QB wins” I thought they were “team wins” as many fans try to say.
Eli beat a 16-0 patriots in 2007. Then beat a 15-1 packers in 2011. That really impressive. I can't hate. 👏
Great underdog QB couldn't play when he had high hopes it was weird lol
@@eric3298couldn’t play but finished top 7 all-time in every passing category?
11:12 Barden not household name but that catch was tough 🔥🔥🔥
This is a forgotten classic another Eli victory over the Patriots
Now fast forward 2023 Devito VS Zappe in the Sh*t stain bowl!
Eli goes god mode on the patriots
Great game
Super Bowl 42 rematch and Super Bowl 46 preview
I traveled to NE to watch the GMEN for this game it was awesome
I Love Your Great Video 📸 NFL Throwback Keep Up The Good Work
Oh, Christ! Hernandez doing the "digging a grave" celebration is a bit creepy in hindsight. 😮
First Giants win at New England since 1990
You in another classic video lol
Their rivalry were fun to watch
When I watched this at the time, it felt like Super Bowl 42 all over again.
Thought the game was won and then Eli stepped in.
Lmaoo Joe Buck again betted on the Patriots again, listen to his voice when the Giants make plays ☠️
Lowkey everyone ate in Brady era
This 2011 season is what made me a big Eli fan
Awesome video
8:58 foreshadowing
Pats Nation!!
The glory days
Eli could/should be in the HOF strictly for the fact that he was the GOATs kryptonite
I've never heard a less enthusiastic announcer in my life
Eli is him
The fact that Eli has clutched it against the pats this many times in this fashion is goat status
Say what you want about Eli but he and the Giants knew how to beat NE especially in the SB
Every team knew how to, it was a matter of if they could.
The pass rushing ability of this team can not be overstated.
Patriots team should of had a ring
I think I remember Brady spiking a water bottle on the sideline for one of the INTs.
I remember bc I was there!
I miss when my team was good.😭
8:55 Touchdown, murderer! (Even dug a grave)
One of several comebacks that season, while Eli carried that bad team to the POs and set multiple 4th Q records. His 2 biggest games came later against Dallas when he outplayed perennial choke artist Tony Romo for the Division Title. "Boys fans - don't bother with a reply, it will be ignored.
loved how Eli made Brady his bitch time and time again.
Right because Eli played defense and held Brady to 14 and 17 points. You really can’t fix stupid lol
@@BillyBob-ti2fz If Eli doesnt make those throws to Tyree and Manningham then he doesnt have the two super bowls. You can argue Tyrees catch was luck but Manninghams catch wasnt luck. That throw to Manningham is objectively one of the best passes in NFL history and if Eli doesnt make that throw then the Giants lose Super Bowl 46.
What's really disturbing is how 35 mentally challenged special needs adults agreed with you. It's a true statement on the credibility of social media
Imagine thinking a guy who dominated the league for 20 years, had 7 rings and 10 SB appearances, was anyones bitch lmao
@@dr.deadass140As a pats fan that throw was legendary
I guess Eli was giving it to Brady on this one
That Aaron hernandez celebration kinda crazy looking back now lol
🤔🤔🤔
You're supposed to bury the bodies in private, not in front of a sold out stadium.
We knew Eli is elite quarterback and haunted Tom Brady again on another Super Bowl
I was hoping you’d upload the 2015 nail biter so I can have something nostalgic to watch after this tough season, but somehow I knew you’d upload one of our L’s to the Giants.
Giants v patriots 2015 is on youtube and it’s presented very similar to how these throwback vids are. Look it up.
Can you do Packers-Lions from Thanksgiving 2003 next?
Psalms 9:18
For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.
Eli is definitely a HOF. He received so many unfair criticisms during his career.
By the current and established standards he’s absolutely hof, in the sense there are less deserving players already there. But by the standards the HOF SHOULD be (I’m gonna have to agree with Deion sanders) then he shouldn’t, among dozens of others.
Well he was pretty average/ underwhelming other than 2011 and has never won a playoff game other than the 2 years he won the bowl so he’s not a hall of famer
those two rings over the GOAT is the thing that'll have Eli Manning in Canton.. he won't be first ballot but he'll get in
He definitely had some pretty terrible seasons. But when he was on, he was on. And the 2007 and 2011 playoff runs are enough, in my opinion, to earn him a HOF spot.
Yeah people only remember him for those mid 2010’s years despite there being some pretty good ones he’s top ten in EVERY MAJOR passing category plus 2 sbmvp’s will for sure put him in he also never had a losing season until 2013 when his team fell apart and there was terrible drafting, injuries and bad management
Why does Joe buck sound like he just woke up from a nap?! Probably would sound more excited for a peewee soccer game then a literal go ahead touchdown by the giants with three minutes to go
Now it's a TANK BOWL
I think this is joe buck? Man dude sounds like he’s so uninterested in a GREAT game!!
Yep, this was the year he had the vocal cord alignment
man i had such high hopes for ramses barden
I love this channel but fuck do I hate the headline. Football is a team sport. The GIANTS beat the PATRIOTS.
The "See you Wednesday" game
No one gonna talk about Aaron Hernandez’s celebration …
He buried the bodies under the field. We all missed a key warning sign there.
I pray and hope the Giants give the Patriots a beatdown again.
I forgot Chad Ochocinco was on this patriots team of ‘11
Somehow regressed as a patriot lol
Eli does what to Brady?!?
Eli is the GOAT
Aaron Hernandez sighting
JAKE BALLARD 99 OVERALL
What up with Brady’s hair in the thumbnail?
It baffled me when I saw it so I knew I must use that pic
7:37 spoiler for that year's bowl...

Can’t spell ‘elite’ without ELI 🙌
Let's not whitewash history. The Patriots were convicted for spying/taping opponents game day plans i.e. "use of equipment to videotape an opposing team's offensive and defense plays and signals." As a result, the Patriots were fined $500K. This was the largest fine in the NFL's 87 year history at the time. This happened during their first 3 Superbowl run. Brady also benefited from the Tuck Rule in the AFC Championship game where he fumbled and lost the game. Some 20 years later, Brady would admit he actually did fumble. Brady was then convicted of deflating footballs. His ball boys deleted all communications with Brady and Brady destroyed his phone in an effort to cover up Deflategate. Brady was suspended for 4 games. It should be noted that Brady sued and won but was "open to accepting some form of suspension, but only if it can be for failing to cooperate with the NFL rather than admitting to the findings." Why is deflating footballs an advantage to Brady? Well when a ball is deflated it is easier to catch in cold weather and it would be easier to secure the ball when being tackled thus preventing the likelihood of a fumble. Keep in mind that each team uses their own balls so this only benefitted Brady and the New England offense. Then there's the seldom mentioned wire tapping of opponents lock room to get key information. There were a few ex-Patriot players who have confirmed this rumor. The NFL was made aware of the wire tapping allegations so they sent out an email stating that they'll be doing locker room sweeps on a particular day thus giving any team who was cheating ample noticed to remove any such devices. The Patriots also stole play sheets from their opponents locker room, and crazy as this sounds, got information from their opponents hotel rooms.
Also, is it possible to acknowledge a potential racial element without making this about race? Well here is my attempt: Imagine if Mike Vick was in New England instead of Brady...let's stop right there! Your immediate reaction was probably "they wouldn't have won all those rings." Well let's say for the sake of this argument that he did win all those rings. With that in mind, would Vick be considered in the conversation as the goat? The answer is no, but more importantly, this controversy would have followed Vick. Let's not go down a racial rabbit hole here, that previous statement was for you to be honest with yourself and absorb/internalize what Vick instead of Brady in New England would have looked like (assuming they won all those rings of course).
I view Brady as Bill Russell - the most winningness player but not the best. He was good though but there are and were a number of QB's better. Has any ever noticed how 95% of his passes were thrown under the first down marker? This included games when they were down double-digits. However, Brady had some legendary comebacks - stuff made of legends. In order to acknowledge that other QB's are better, one would have to put aside Suberbowl wins. For instance, Marino was better than Roethlisberger but one QB had multiple rings while the other had zero.
Your takeaway from this lengthy comment could be that I am a Patriot or Brady hater but I literally just wanted to document the history because this NFL channel, Fox Sports, ESPN, and Ex-NFL turned CZcamsrs do not mention this. It is as if it never happened.

Eli was great. But once his o line turned into marshmallows it was over.

This had to be one of Brady’s worst games of his entire career. Giants DL was elite but man he didn’t look good most of the game
Brady was getting Flashbacks in the pocket.
Giants @ Patriots 2026 regular season, who wins?
They don’t meet in the 2026 regular season
@@mariosnum1fan unless if both of them finish in the same seeding. for example, if the patriots finishes 8th seed in the afc and the giants finishes 8th seed in the nfc they'll both meet in the next season.
@@1990Thunderbolt no. That’s not how it works. AFC/NFC East rotation schedule is every 4 years. Or 2 years in that extra inter conference matchup. 2023 they’re all playing each other, which means the next time these two teams can match up is 2025 if the giants and pats finish in the same ranking in their division (I.e. 3rd and 3rd)

Patriots just can't beat the Giants can they lol
