MKX's Sub Zero slides look more smoother than any other in the franchise. Injustice 2 and Mortal Kombat 11; kinda make it seem like he's sliding on Sandpaper instead of ice. So much friction.

I cringe when I see his form in MKX. It’s still smooth though
3 things to note
1) Injustice 2's slide is from X so idk how they'd contrast. Maybe just the speed to accommodate I2s pacing.
2) Idk about smoother, but it looks the more evasive with how low he goes which should be the point of his slide. Gain distance quickly while avoiding projectiles
3) With that said, 11s form looks the most practical. It seems like it'd be the most optimal for sliding forward as fast as possible.

I like how evasive looking MKX's slide is, like the point of the move is to dash forward while avoiding projectiles and X's version accomplishes that. Plus it's hilariously dumb brutality is a redeeming quality for Sub's awful Unbreakable variation.
BUT 11s form seems like it'd be the most optimal way of sliding forward with great speed and the animation of the enhanced version is so much cooler than what he does in past games. Then there's that Krushing Blow that's so impactful and ease to use, just glorious. The wicked brutality is just the cherry on the cake.

His second best move besides the Freeze Ball. An intresting substitue from the sweeping kick.
I've always preferred the cold shoulder in Deadly Alliance and Deception. It makes sense because it looks more powerful. With his regular slide, he's just using his toe.
Sub-Zero is also my favorite character.
I don't consider the Cold Shoulder from Deadly Alliance/Deception/Armageddon to be the same thing as the regular slide. Frost actually had the slide in Deadly Alliance and Armageddon.

This is what people mean when they say nrs has bad animation. Sub zero just randomly slides on ice with no momentum. There’s no build up and just completely breaks physics. Yes there’s ice under him but he’s not even at least pushing himself snowy winds. He just does it.
Ehhh the 3d games also had this issue tho
@@tammid8423 so? It’s 2024, the 3d games are 10 years old. Other big fighting games don’t have this problem.
In mk11 there is another brutality for sub zero's cold sholder though i would mention it because they didn't include it in the video, Also his second fatality has a the slide if you wanna count that in.
