Johan you mentioned on this episode that you thought this was EF’s first Yellow Jersey, but in 2020 Sergio Higuita won it and wore it until another rider very disgracefully took his front wheel out and he got back on but few kms down the road had to drop out. It was a nasty crash. His head bounced off the pavement.
You should see cycling in Eritrea. It's massive. There is lots of talent waiting for a chance. The boss of Intermarche said as much in a quite impassioned speech about how there's so much Eritrean and African talent with great engines but with little opportunities

I thought the 5KM is better than 3KM. because all the GC team are gone from the front. The crash happens 2.5km, but at least we don't get a GC guy leaving the race. For me that a good thing. And the crash doesn't take down the entire peloton or a carnage. So I think that's better IMO. I read somewhere that UCI said that they are testing the 5KM on the TDF, so I'm assuming on all the sprint stages.
As far as VL car, I think it's about level playing the field. How's that fair with other small team? They got all the data real time to the team, while Arkea didn't have an advantage for that. Cooking is one thing, but this is not about that. It's about the live race data on the riders, wind etc. That's not good. That's what I call, and "unfair advantage."
I think that if bikes and roads where availble to africans---or even african americans---that were easily accessible then we would see black pogacr's left and right

Africa and inner-city black America are widely impoverished. There is wealth and there is middle class segments of these populations but there’s tons of poverty. I’ve seen it with my own eyes

This is JB2 where the talk is about the race, and stage's which are a single part of the whole. The same reason Girmay is king.... for today.
Tadej is on tape after stage 2 asking Remco if he got yellow. Tadej wanted to give it up yesterday. That Tadej gave it up today is BIG news for the strategy of the race - not just a single stage - ba-du-bump!
I think the title was influenced by The Move's title which came out just before. I mean are you more or less likely to watch 2 30 minute videos on the same channel if they have the same title.

What's the point of these stages (more than 210 km and flat ),but if is windy nobody will go to the breakaway because they know they 'll be caught and won't be allowed to take more than 3,4 minutes, the effort is greater than the possible reward!! For the broadcast in TV the stage is without fights, not points of interest, etc . A stage with 140 ,150 km with a few climbs ,up and downs all day long is a spectacle that makes people stay in front of the TV, tablet,cell phone, etc .

Cheating has a long tradition at the grand tours, riders even hid behind bushes during the race so they could wear the black shirt that belonged to the last rider in the peloton, not to mention doping and other crap. Only the naive think that cheating is no longer possible today, in some way cheating enforce competition and progress, but it's killing the spirit of the sports. What Visma can do with its van, if it is equipped with AI technology, is to collect and analyze data from the race broadcast and from other sources directly from the race field. If in addition, they include historical data in the analysis, it is practically possible to instantly predict the course of the race with a very high probability, over 90%, with AI models.
No sports director has the capacity and efficiency to compete with AI models that use quality data sets for processing, so it is logical that teams will prioritize AI in terms of tactical directions. No sports director will object to the AI if he wants to keep his seat in the escort car! Regardless of the complexity of the data analysis process, the results in the form of guidance for the cyclist can be very simple. So that the transmission of the tactical conclusions that the AI model will reach in a second when changes occur in the race, from the "AI van-center" to the sports director and from the spot director to the rider, can take place in a few sentences. The cyclist does not need much guidance, just like in a car, the sports director increases and decreases the speed by pressing the pedal, he can also tell the rider to attack, wait... or use codes a,b,c...or smoke signals on mountaintops
With AI the game is over and the big wave of AI is coming so fast that when it hits us the only thing left to do will be to unplug from the power grid to not watch the massacre. JB1 I think this 5km is just BS, when the ASO lays out the course 🤷♂️ they say "if there's a situation" WTF they make the finish. Stop making dangerous finishes. It's that simple. I think Adam Hansan needs to be much more of a big mouth about the dangerous courses that they put together 😥🤞🙏
