good maturity shown by billings and livingstone. on a two paced wicket where boundaries were not easy to score, they constantly did strike rotation with singles and doubles with dispatching the odd delieveries to boundary and hence no damage done.

They are just in a transition period. It can rlly hurt a side when experienced players like Dilshan, Sangakarra and Jaywardeena retired in short time. Along with Malinga Srilanka depended on these players too much. I guess the board didn’t rlly think to continue introducing newer talents to prosper from the legends, hence to avoid decline. Imo something similar happened to SA (hence that poor CWC19) but they seem to be finding their feet again.
