I'm happy that Jazza is doing what HE likes now and not what internet "demands" his channel is getting traction again and the subs are going up. Sometimes is better to do what you love, even if it doesn't please others.

@@derrickwolters8694 I don't know how popular the saying is but I hear it quite a lot (I'm English but I see how it sounds Australian) Marmite is something that people tend to strongly like or dislike with no in between, so the saying means something people have very split opinions on. This is why I want to make an online art supply library so people can try profesional supplies and if they don't like it that's okay cuz it works like a library! I remember I was too scared to buy copics afraid I wouldn't like it until a friend let me try theirs. And content creators are constantly trying art boxes and the supplies just collecting dust.

It would also let people donate art supplies they're not using. I've got some graphite sticks I got for christmas a few years ago and didn't really like using them much
If itâs online, how would you ensure people return their supplies instead of just keeping them? Along a similar line what would happen if someone returned their supplies damaged and they couldnât be used in the library anymore? I guess you could just charge them for each week past their return date and have people pay a deposit fee either with their subscription to library or each time they take something out so that if somethings damaged then you keep the deposit and if not the customer gets it back.
There's a library close to me that let's you borrow all kinds of supplies, mainly geared towards kids in financially struggling homes tho
But last time i visited they had things like kitchen aid's and blenders too.
It could be possible to talk to local libraries and see if you can start an art supply geared initiative
It is really nice to see not only Jazza participating in this challenge. These are four awesome people with great individual ideas and artistic talent coming together just to make art. Each one has their own style and material and it all turned out awesome. It is such a pleasure to watch! :D

As someone who sells Mont Marte at work, I always have complex feelings when I see art CZcamsrs using the brand. On the one hand they're known for being cheap, but on the other they're not terrible and I see professionals put them to good use all the time. Happy and a little embarrassed.
Also, purple was missing from that line of paint for the longest time and I don't think they updated the set.
Murray's the winner. His drawing was great, and considering he only spent like 20 dollars, his artpiece was also the most cost-effective one!

His art is cool, but he didn't meet the challenge. It would be great if the challenge would be spend as little as posible. It's like you ask for a golden ring and the jeweler says "here I made you a ring out of iron and dyed it a golden color".

@@bkboy1995 I think he got last place for the ping pong balls, which is also why his as is is my third favorite. Otherwise, I would have given him second. I don't personally award extra merit points for deviating from the challenge. If the challenge were to spend the least amount possible and come up with a good artwork, he would have won.
Murray's was best imo. There was dimension in his, a good drawing, good techniques, different mediums. For the least amount of money. Jen's pivot and creativity after finding her first idea unavailable deserves huge credit.
I love that Madeyewlook is trying to send you her body paints. Shes very talented at body painting.
Just wanted to say, Jazza, you are SUCH an inspiration for me! Ive been doing more art focused content on my channel lately (including trying to do good in completely in new mediums) and if it weren't for this channel I don't even think id still be drawing. Keep it up Jazza!

I recommend Peter Draws channel. He can just use a 4$ fountain pen, a 10$ bottle of ink and a 10$ sketchbook and make masterpieces for months.
I've only recently found this channel and it single handedly has resparked that old creative flame i haven't tapped into in years and i have been making things i never would have been able to even when i was drawing daily i am very happy to have found your videos im on a fixed income so i dont have the funds help support the channel by buying merch but will continue to support it with views

I gotta say, Murray got the short end of the stick. Something about his just feels so complete, and is really well done. My vote's for Murray at the top.
Alicia has the most well crafted imagery and given more time she has the highest potential for a truly amazing artwork. Even with the cut off she did best. The paper art by Jen is the most difficult to create, but easily the second best artwork in this video. I was disappointed in both of you gentlemen as your artworks look scattered and un-focused perhaps more time would have helped you as well. I thought Jazza might have had the best idea since he created the challenge but he lost focus in the store, going in with an idea of what you want to create before you purchase supplies is so key to not wasting money! Just ideas for those reading this comment.

Yeah, I saw comments above that said it was great to see Jazza making the videos he wants rather than what the internet demands, but this feels very much like what the internet demands because it's a toned down ZHC. I deeply appreciate Jazza's stance on ZHC's style of video because that style feels so egocentric (look what I can do, aren't I great, which threatens to turn the creators into show ponies) and Jazza's videos have typically been much more from the heart, providing entertainment in a way that gives something to the viewer, either as inspiration or knowledge.

I actually like Murrayâs most, except for the pingpongball. I love how he did the bird and the colours. Then in shared second place, Jazza and Alicia, and last place for me was Jen. It just felt a bit stiff to me personally, I wouldâve liked it more if the swirlies had been more dynamic. But all of you guys did an amazing job with the artsupplies you got!

I think I like the dragon best, but feel like the paper craft is probably equal quality-- but I don't "get" abstract art a lot of the time, so illustration of A Thing will always beat out abstract for me.

Alicia definitely for 1st, Iâd pick you for second, and Murray and Jen tied for 3rd. I love the origami but it looks a little flat, and while Murray did a really pretty bird the ping pong balls just stick out too much. I think chat picked it rather dead on if Iâm honest.
Considering the amount of money Murray spent on the art supplies compared everybody else, I think he did the best, but all the artwork was probably better than anything I could do, so I think you all made great artworks!

I did this challenge this week when I wanted to start learning art. I bought a drawing tablet. Just a drawing tablet. $100 Now I can practice to my hearts content without fear of anyone seeing the child-like drawings which come of 20+ years avoiding any type of art. Should last me a lot more than $100 of paint or pens wasted on my terrible attempts.
Also, not exaggerating when I say it wouldn't have happened had I not discovered this channel. I'm still not sure if I even can learn to draw, but I've at least lost the certainty that I can't. I've always been maths/engineering/science, I just figured art wasn't part of the way my brain was made until I saw a few things here to make me realise I struggle with similar issues to other people learning art.
This is exactly how I started about 3/4 of a year ago and back then I couldn't even draw lines, shapes or curves that weren't super wiggly and weird, nowadays I can knock some artworks out that I am *very* proud of, so keep going! â€ïž Digital art lets you "cheat" a lot (don't ever feel discouraged to cheat) and there is a ton of people out there that can teach you how to take things to the next level if you ever feel stuck :)
@@Yuzuki1337 That's actually really inspiring. I've been developing pretty slowly and it's been a bit disappointing. Especially as I'm starting new skills far later than art yet making a lot more progress. But if its just the typical learning progression perhaps I should have more patience.

@@olivialambert4124 Art is a massive skillset so it's natural that it feels like you're only improving "slowly" - in the grand scheme of things you probably are :) But that's not a bad thing, every little thing you do will build on top of each other and before you know it you'll start to realize that you made more breakthroughs than you realized! Also it'll probably help you too if you stick to only one or two things to draw in the beginning and build from there; I love animals and I like cute things so I spent my first couple months just drawing simple cartoonish animals - no backgrounds, no perspective, not even textures or anything. Just lines and then filling them with solid colours :) Then I started making sketches before doing lineart and colours. Then after a while I started doing simple two-tone shading and so on and so forth and after I while I was able to learn, try and apply something new with every new drawing I made and from there it really took off. :) Start out simple, feel free to try out new stuff as you go and don't get discouraged if something doesn't work out the way you thought it would - they're all learning experiences â€ïž Sorry this is a massive wall of text but I totally feel for your situation and if I could make it I'm sure you can do so too! :) And if you ever need any help, feel free to reach out to me here, maybe I can show you a thing or two

Murray really made a cool artwork with the cheapest most terrible supplies Iâve ever seen! đ I feel like he won strictly for that fact.đ€·đ»ââïž The ping pong hills were actually pretty creative and have a cool 3-D effect similar to Jenâs art.đ Aliciaâs art was my second favorite specifically because itâs my favorite fantasy style art, It was incredibly well executed and her supplies seemed to be of the highest quality. I think yours is third because you were really unfocused for most of the challenge and more supplies doesnât always mean better, the supplies didnât mesh well with the markers bleeding.đ€·đ»ââïž Jenâs fourth, I loved her creativity with the 3-D origami style, I love origami but I do it as well and know how easy it is to do the paper cranes so I felt it was the easiest one.đ Loved the video though and hope to see more fun challenges like this!!!đđ»
