The guy selling the cap knows his stuff..so I just looked it up. Its a M-1880 other ranks missing its chinscales.historical.ha.com/itm/military-and-patriotic/wwi/exceptional-polish-lancer-czapka-circa-1880/a/6055-52371.s And defiantly not German.
At 3:00, every city every town every village every block has a trouble maker like him, I even had a neighbour like that once! Anyway thanks for taking us along , will get there one day ✌️
I always stay away from custom made uniforms if not 100% military it could be made after the war -iv seen some Whit original military tags but you know they're just trying to sell you a skunk instead of a cat.lol
This Helmet shown arroud minute 4 is clearly a helmet of lancers/Ulanen. But really polish? Some doubts, looks rather german. The tip down pyramide in top represents the square / Quadrat top of polish soldiers caps, but: As far as i know, in interwar Periode , and still in current Poland the soldiers cap is not similar to german helmet, but a peaked cap with some similarity to french Kepi or napoleonic era Tschakos .
