I've had my S21a with 519a for a while and they are great. I just finally got an S2+ with SST40 LED and it's great. I prefer the S21A as a bike light over the S2+ because it has a more floody beam. Nice combo imo. Decent throw and flood. S2+ does seem a bit brighter but I'm not sure. SST40 vs 519a, maybe that's the difference. All I know is I love them both. Also have an S21A in 4000k for riding in fog and rain. Works great. I use the M21B with 70.2 on my helmet when I'm mountain biking. Both strobe and bike mode are nice as a DRL (daytime running light DRL).

Yes, it's because the SST 40 produces more light, even though it's in the S2+ host. Maybe twice the output. That XHP70.3 HI is awesome. Should check it out if you get a chance. But yeah it's probably geared 60% to throw, 40% flood.

Seems like the primary consideration between these would be which battery you want to run.
Yes, throw wise not a huge difference. But the larger body of the S21B has better heat dissipation.
After seeing your comparison video comparing the CULPM1.TG vs CSLPM1.F1 (green Emitter) on the M21B I ended up buying S21B CSLPM1.F1 for my EDC tactical/self defense flashlight.
Hi GENZA, good choice - max visibility and candela in a host that can handle the heat. The M21B host has better throw but uncomfortable to carry around in jeans pocket.

Hi Michal! Glad you're enjoying my videos. I covered this in a couple of older convoy videos (S2+ MAO version, C8+ MAO). Basically you turn the light on. Then you half press the back button about 20 times very quickly. The light will flash once. Once you see it flash, half press the tailswitch once more. Then the light will blink through all the 12 modes (one blink = 1st mode, 2 blinks = 2nd, etc). When you find the mode you want, you half press and the light will remember that even if you switch it off.

the culpm1 on s21b has a round spot? or same spot of cslnm1 on s2+ the spot was not perfectly round?
The spot on my S2+ was not perfectly round as the NM1 wasn't centred properly. It usually is round and fine.
cslpm1 same foot size as cslnm1 at 3030???
Yep that's right. Only CULPM1 is 4040.
