Banas is better known for his Muppet and Rankin-Bass voice work. He was “Head Elf and various Misfit Toys” in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, the original voice of Sweetums, and Schaefer etc. on Raccoons. He celebrated his 95th birthday this January, best to you good sir.

Carl voiced so many commercials on radio and TV, including the classic 1980s NOMA Christmas lights commercial, showing the grandparents arriving at a family's light-bedecked home, on a snowy Christmas evening.
He's also one of the last 2 surviving voice cast members of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" (1964). Corinne Conley is the other.
