- tr.ee/T7sSZnpw9z Thank you for watching our ear wax removal video today. The ear wax extraction featured in todays video was carried out using endoscopic microsuction. This procedure uses a small camera called an endoscope to visualise inside the ear canal whilst a small suction tube is inserted to gently remove ear wax.
We can also use other tools to remove hard ear wax, foreign bodies, peeling dead skin or for ear infection removal.
All the ear wax cleaning videos you see on our channel are carried out by our ear wax specialists Mr Rhys Barber and Mr Taylor Green.
We post new ear cleaning videos Monday - Friday at 9PM GMT so if you find ear wax removal satisfying please consider subscribing to our channel.
Ear wax plays a vital role in ear health. It helps to prevent ear infection and helps with ear cleaning by picking up any dirt or debris that accumulates in the ear canal. Normally this ear wax would fall out of the ear taking any dirt or debris with it.
How to remove ear wax?
Many people use q-tips/cotton buds for ear wax removal at home this is one of the worst things you can put into the ear as this can lead to an increased ear wax buildup or in extreme cases impacted ear wax. The best way to remove ear wax is to let your ears clean themselves and not to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ears!
How do I know if I have an earwax blockage?
If you experience a change in your hearing, discomfort in the ear or jaw or a feeling of fullness in the ear canal you may have an ear wax blockage. Our advice is to speak to your Doctor or local Audiologist who can take a look in your ears and assess whether ear cleaning is needed.

@@AudiologyAssociatesUK 🤣🤣🤣
The qtip is addictive man
I love this tips and answers! You can almost call it a Q&Tip
Very good 👏
Har. Har. Har.

My ears have been itching very badly for nearly 30 years. It seems to have mellowed out over the last 5-6 years. One doc said it could be fungal and to try a mixture of rubbing alcohol and Epsom salts. Back in the mid-90s I was so desperate I used the blade of a pair of scissors to scrape/scratch the ear canal. It felt amazing, but then my ears scabbed up and couldn't hear very well. (THIS WAS STUPID, DONT DO IT)
It still flares up occasionally, but not very often or for long. Over the near 30 years, I've become very good at not losing an ear bud in my ear canal or go too far.
On the llus side, I don’t think hair grows in my ears anymore.
30 years 😯 mine have been itching the last 2 years driving me potty.
I have also found that pulling on my ear lobe can give me relief with a itchy ear
Yes that also works
Thanks for that info- turns out the method I’ve used for years is number 3. I’m so glad you’ve confirmed that it’s ok!
THANK YOU!!! I needed that.❤
So Glad that You're doing these Q&A's Rhys, every so often i wished that we had them, as a Lot of questions are asked. Thank You Rhys, So Helpful!
The shorts are wonderful! Thanks so much!
You are so welcome!
now i can't stop doing it, its so good
I use a massager for those unreachable itches. And , "oh what a relief it is."
You're amazing. Stay well.
Thank you for answering my questions I was going to ask because I suffer with very itchy ears x
I will try that spray! Mine are so itchy I wake myself at night scratching my ears.

Thanks, good to know!
So helpful! Thank you!
Thank you so much. I've been using olive oil, but they're still driving me crazy. I'll try the ear calm spray. 😌
Thank you for that helpful tip!
You are welcome
Hey I've been do that very same thing when my ear itches! I didn't know what the name of that part of the ear was and I found out it was the Tragus! Thank You!! 👂
Thank you so much. I have been wondering how to deal with an itchy ear.
I have a question regarding the suggestion of the technique of itching of the ear you suggested. Is is ment to make a vacuum seal feeling in the ear? Because I've tried it a few times at your suggestion and am petrified I'm going to burst my ear drum because of the feeling of the vacuum seal. The itching is so bad that it woke me up in the middle of the night once. I've even had itchie ears with prescription ear drops in them. Are you able to please link the ear drops you were referring to or give some of the active ingredients to look out for for international viewers please.
I will admit I am a cotton bud user only because I can't get anything else to realive the itch (it bad enough to the point where I have thought about cutting off my ears and then realised that is a stupid idea)
I will admit I used to get the best itch with my hearing aid molds however I no longer have molds and the new tips of the hearing aids are not helpful at all. Sometimes I wonder if it is a problem connected to my hearing loss or if it would happen anyway.
Thank you for any help.
THANK YOU!
For me I guess being a year-round allergy sufferer, a warm saltwater gargle has stopped in between waiting for my antihistamine to work.
Thankyou so much!! I know I'll get told off for this, but I sometimes use a cocktail stick 🙈 to really get rid of the itch. (I was desperate). Xx
😳
@@AudiologyAssociatesUK I know i shouldn't. Little bits of dry skin came out. Xx
Thanks so much. My ears sometimes itch like mad when I have my aids in. Now I know what to do.
Thank you.
Ahhhhh thank you so much for that wiggle wiggle tip…it worked!!
Thanks!!!💜
Constant problem. will try the olive oil
Nice one mate . Ure from Cardiff ?
funnily enough, your technique of scratching your ear is exactly how I've always scratched my ears 👌
Love the shorts..this has been my favorite so far…sounds like olive oil is the cure all..😂
Where should questions go? I’m going to try here, hopefully Mr. B will see it…so, my question is, how do you get vertigo? For the first time in my life, I have it and my doctor is having a difficult time finding the root cause. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again? (If it ever goes away…1 month and counting😳)
thank you so much they been like this for 2 years i might go deaf
My ears are so itchy I’m going to use the spray thank you
I’ve tried all three… the ear wiggle works the best! Thanks so much
Thank you for this,I have hyperacusis,a very serious reaction to noise and a kind of continues radio sounds when there no frequency plus the iching and pain, will this also help me. I am trying to get earpod noise cancellation. This is seriously affecting my head and moves. My ENT Doctor said nothing can be done about this,I have been checking online for help. I have seen three different ENT doctors. Please can I get any help from you?
Thank you it works to me, but still i had bad smell fluid inside my ears
I put cream in my ears to help the itching. Most of the time it works. It feels amazing when my ears are hot and I use moisture from out the fridge 😅. Stops the itchy and it’s blissful. I’ve been doing it for years. I’m also guessing because the UK 🇬🇧 weather this year (2023) has been hot, cold, hot & cold. Our ears are still adjusting to the different temperatures outside?
In the US where can I get olive oil? Thank you for your time..
I have one ear that is always turning red! Why could it be?
Spiders eggs.
Peoples ears can flush red sometimes. As long as there’s no pain it doesn’t sound like anything to be concerned about
@@AudiologyAssociatesUK no pain, but it does get hot
My left ear sounds like I am under water
When mine get itchy, I can't help but to use Q tips and even tooth picks sometimes for bad and deep itches. It's terrible.
Is the olive oil from a supermarket good enough or is it better to buy it from a special store?
My pops-in=law used his car key to scratch his ears.
Ouch
If the outside area is itching, I know I have a lump of wax in there.
My eustacian (sp?) canal also used to itch horribly around the back of my teeth, which I rubbed with my tongue. Infuriatingly annoying.
I clean my ears more than 3 times a day because i like the feeling it gives me.
Not my canal but I've only get itchy ears on a part of the outside of my ear
My Eustachian tubes itch
So my ears itch if I eat spicy food or cold drinks I’m talking deep inside my ears and it drives me mad, any ideas
I use a massager or electric toothbrush on the outside of my ears (like he suggested) for those REALLY deep ear scratches.
Any idea how to handle exema in the ear?
I just use my Bobbi pin to get that itch
Me too, but I've thrown them all away because it's making things worse itching-wise. Once I start, I can't stop, and then my balance goes out.
Castor 🛢 oil😮
How can I get rid of my tinnitus, I have it in both ears Reece.
Mr. B when you say olive oil is that a euphemism for something or do you actually mean like Extra Virgin Olive oil?
No please don’t use Extra Virgin Olive Oil! You are not making a salad. 😜 You need to use the type made specifically for ears. Maybe a pharmacist or chemist can assist you?
Oh thank goodness. My ears itch constantly and a wash cloth doesn’t take care of the problem. It’s just at the opening.
Does this work if you wear hearing aids?
I got both ears too itchy 😢😢
my question is how to stop ballsack from itching..
When i ear starts itching, its a signal for me that i have ear wax build up and i start irrigating. Worst part is that i still have itching afterwards because i giess ive dried it out. Maddening.
I've literally made my ear hurt from doing that wiggle thing...
I thought there is a centipede in my ears
Why my ear are itchy suddenly when i wear earphones and later i also have pain in ear
Please give me some information
I tried not wrecking
