- I was walking through the New York City subway on my way home and caught Alanis Morissette and Jimmy Fallon singing on the subway platform. Was a lot of fun...a true New York City moment.

I do believe Jimmy is a little tipsy.
I love the entire jagged little pill album..her voice is very unique.
I've grown up listening to this song. Those were beautiful days.
They sure were!
Whats name of this first song?
My godfather's brother was Harry Simeone, whose chorale sang the original 1958 version of Little Drummer Boy.
Alanis Morissette you make me smile every day. Best wishes to you and your beautiful family 👪
I agree :)
I had never known the word "busking" or what it meant till I watched these videos. Thanks to J. Fallon and the incomparable Alanis Morisette!
She really look like she was havin an awesome and the audience really got a nice treat!!
Jimmy Fallon needs to pull back just a little.
Alanis is such a fantastic artist.
Another great vision of this awesome performance. Thanks for sharing it here !!!
Appreciate it!
Alanis is so beautiful I love the way she sings
K Deloris I agree
𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐝 😊😊😊
𝐍𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐬!! 👍👍👍
I know right!
Ogni volta che vedo questo video faccio fatica a vederla in versione "quasi cinquantenne". Ma è un'icona, per molti quarantenni di oggi. Solo appausi!
I wish I was there. Alanis ♥️♥️
unknown user it was amazing 😃
I love Alanis!
Zach Johnson me too!
Fallon is hammered
Now that you say that I can see that lol
Anthony Gerard why do you say that?
@@OMGitsKristinaxD because he is a known drunk. He has anxiety so he gets borderline shit faced every show
@@OMGitsKristinaxD His coordination is all over the place
Yay somewhere we can still see it. Fallon's video has been taken down.
dondon33 thank you 😃
NBC has an abbreviated version here on CZcams.
Till this day i still don’t know how they didn’t recognize her that voice is uncanny seriously..
It’s all scripted. The crowd is notified, ain’t no way that many people don’t get on their train and gather there in 30 seconds. The world is a stage
I sense a lot of people knew something, maybe because of security and entourage… there’s generally not that large of a crowd around singers in the subway unless some really sense early what’s going on.
This is awesome, I love it
Jimmy is a crazy fan :D
Carolina Rodriguez he’s so hilarious lol
niiiice thanks for sharing.... lucky you I still dream of hearing alanis live!
this was a really fun experience!
The problem with these disguises is, there's no way to disguise Alanis' voice. She's so talented, there's no way to hide that it's her
Beautiful
Just amazing ❤️
Great video! Thanks for another view of this.
Luin Haden thanks!
The rhythm guitar in this song has crazy potential .im working on it Alanis !it’s one of my favorite jams
I would absolutely be late to work for this....
unknown user I was leaving work thank God !
I love Alanis ♥️🇧🇷
Thanks you for view
Italo Almeida thank you!
I love it!!
That was GREAT!
Ilove you somuch miss
Can't wait to work with her this summer. I missed out last time 😕
wow he got the queen!
Thanks for sharing 💜 #AlanisMorissette 🎧
thank you!
I love Alanis and I know she has tons and tons of self-penned songs, but I am shocked she needs lyrics in front of her for arguably her biggest song! not disappointed, just surprised!
I agree. It is odd
Maybe jimmy singing along was throwing her off
She didn’t even read it so what’s the point?
Let's have a thought for the 'minder' in the overcoat, collar and tie in the background. He probably wanted to move to the beat but stuck to his job !!
How can I make Fallon stop appearing everywhere?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
wooooowwww keren
❤️🇧🇷💖❤️💖❤️💖❤️💖❤️🇧🇷
🙏🏻👋🏻😃🙏🏻🙏🏻 🇺🇸 🇧🇷
👍👍💗
😀
Moral of the story stop for all buskers
Completely agree

Remember when Jimmy made fun of her during his SNL audition ?
Qual o nome da primeira música cantada pela Allanis?
La primera cancion es Little Drummer Boy :)
@@MrKellykopp muito obrigado , faz um tempão que eu estava querendo saber o nome dessa musica , valeu !
@@lafaieteneto1299 Você é muito bem-vindo!
what song they were singing?
'You Oughta Know' from her first album Jagged Little Pill
🧚♂️
You would think she would know the words.
She oughta know
Fallon should stop messing around, we're there to see the beautiful Alanis Morisette at her brilliant best.
he's probably already had a couple shots of Jager
Fallon is just in the way....
Fallon is fabulous
@@lindadawson5928 maybe. But I was there & we all just wanted to watch Alanis
Could be worse. Could be James Cordon.@@1Molehill
the pink cowboy hat; lady gaga wore that
They privated the original :(
Natsu Dragion77 I’m happy though how mine turned out. 😃
I just watched the original. It’s up now
You call it a surprise, but when you just so happen to be at the same location as Alanis Morissette, isn't it ironic, don't you think? A little too ironic. And yeah, I really do think!
We are supposed to be able to figure out that "No one knows..,." doies not mean literally no one at all. Of course a few people saw them setting up etc., but for most of the other people in the subway, it was a surprise.
Why did she need to look at the lyrics?
I feel like these things are not so random
But staged
Not staged. We had no idea who they were.
It's staged in that this is recorded for the Tonight Show and we had to pretend we didn't know who it is.
I was at the one Jimmy did with Green Day a month ago (it's on my channel).
The details on how to spread word will probably vary by the artist but in my case someone on Green Day's team posted on a message board that GD likes to "Rock a Fella at 8". Sure the people randomly passing by at that exact moment wouldn't know, but the congregated crowd knows exactly what's happening. The crowd gathered here knew Alanis was going to be there and when.
4 years later and still no one is talking about her looking down and reading HER lyrics.... that's worrisome
Fallon a wanabee stooge
You had to know it was HER cant hide that voice
