Haha yessss! It's been very much needed I think... And the footage looks incredible compared to what I had before! I've got tons of motivation to pump out loads of videos 👌
thanks man. this was very useful info ! wanting to start a POV car channel, and this helped me guide me a bit, love your other POV videos ! keep up the good work man.
That's for the kind words! Yep I mentioned in the conclusion I don't really like either of the 8:7 modes... I think personally hyperview looks a little wider/faster so I'll probably be using that, but superview is attractive too because it's so natural-looking
The Superview here at 2:04 ish is probably the one I prefer the most. It's not very wide but it feels quite natural and there's none of that distortion / rolling shutter type effect. Again, nice to see how much your channel has grown since I found that video of yours 3-4 weeks ago. Might do POV driving videos myself at some point, I have 4k front and rear dashcams which are crazy good quality, like GoPro that can run on loop for hours but I am still building my confidence driving locally. Got a big trip in a few months time which should be fun to document hopefully. Personally I find the comments are the thing that caused exponential growth for certain videos of mine, but maybe the likes are also linked to it but I find comments always come in droves
Thanks for the kind words! Maybe you're right about the comments... I still haven't quite figured it out. Regarding the camera, I still think hyperview look the most "exciting" so it'll be what I use going forward ... Until people complain 😂
You have no idea how much I needed this comment! Thank you! This video is probably the lowest views I've ever got and I was overthinking everything :) I think it's just too different from my normal content - understandable. Thank you so much for the kind words.
@@MickDrivesCars Lemme comment here coz I'm the same as Finn., Found your channel today (all the way from Kenya!) via the 'driving fast' video and then the Sport RS review coz I was interested to know what Renault model it was, and then here just to see how the shots get made. 😅 Love the content, especially the narration and definitely subscribed. Cheers to getting even more massive mate. I know you'll be @ like 100k in no time!
Hey nice video. Could you also make a video about the settings you are using while filming with your GoPro and maybe also the editing? I‘m kinda struggling with getting the settings and editing right. This would be especialy interesting in the dark during late night drives. Keep up the great work 🙌🏻
I think this video hasn't done very well because my subscribers don't really want camera videos... So I probably won't be doing more. Sorry mate... Thanks for the support though 👊 I'm happy to answer any of your questions though. Regarding dark/night shooting... Footage always just looks terrible when the sun goes down, I haven't found a way around that.
@@MickDrivesCars Understandable still thanks for answering. Would you be done to sharing your default gopro settings in a comment below mine or in the video description? Only the basic ones, stuff like iso, resolution or framerate for example.
With the Premiere Addon Gopro fx reframe you can record in 8:7 and than change dynamicly between 16:9 super/ hyperview just with one slider and quickly create 9;16 / 1:1 for Social Media … So best Choice for Every Content creator
@@MickDrivesCars Ah, cool. I only discovered your channel a couple of days ago, when the three things about braking video showed up in the suggestions column down the right while I was watching Gran Turismo 7 vids. I thought, "I've not seen this guy before", and gave it a shot, liked it, and now I'm working through your videos from the oldest forwards. I just saw the one with the Fabia, so there's plenty to go, but I'll get through them eventually. Enjoyable and informative stuff. I'd presumed you had the camera on a headband, so I was quite surprised to see it clamped to your cap. Is that really how you usually wear it? I'd have thought it blocked a chunk of your vision, though you clearly don't appear to have any bother seeing ahead.
Thanks mate! Means tons that you liked the videos enough to watch a lot of them! Hopefully you'll get to see first hand how much they've improved! I'm a little awkward about the older videos to be honest, I don't think they were the best :) Yeah the issue with the headband is it doesn't give a good perspective and I'm obsessed with getting the right view for POV. I found the cap + clip, right in front of my face is really the only way to get that. It does block probably 40% of my vision but that's the price for the right perspective. I bought a Hero 11 Mini to reduce the impact of this.
Yess new equipment!!

I too was surprised by the view stats. It’s for a very specific audience. I’m glad you made it though :)

Glad it helped mate, thanks a lot!
Very informative video mate! Superview is definitely the way to go.
"Secret mode" looks bad in every way, squashing the footage is never good

Can't believe people from Kenya are watching me talk my rubbish 😂😂😂 thank you so much, honestly!
Really detailed and helpful! Now I need to replace my 9 with 11 for my track POV clips. Thanks man!

@@peterlustig883 Sure so I use
5.3k
30fps
High bitrate
ISO 100-800
Shutter auto
Natural colour
10-bit on
Really good video. Wish someone made a similar video for motorcycle vlogs
Thanks man! Nobody watched it though :D

Sound very cool
@@MickDrivesCars me too, I export the correct Formats from Premiere..
But Adobe is expensive, I use my work account :D
super helpful in up and coming youtuber and have no idea how to work my cam yet😂
Superview looks best. By a long way.
Yeah I experimented with hyperview in a lot of my video but I've now settled on superview.
