Thanks for the tutorial Ben. The handle you made for my belt axe is close to perfection. If I should ever damage it irreparably, you will most assuredly be getting it back for another lol.
You are welcome my friend I loved the short of you putting your gear on and running out the door into the modern world and running towards adventures in the wild outdoors brother
I picked up some quebracho powder. I'm curious, what % do you suggest for a 100-gram batch BP. I make 100 grams BP at a time. Thanks for sharing. Oh, I bought a box of your alder buckthorn, and yes, it makes excellent BP. I appreciate and am thankful for those of us that are keeping this alive. Thank you.
This may be a really random question but was there ever older muskets on the frontier? Like the matchlock or the wheel lock and if so how often would they have been seen and used?
From what I've come by, yes indeed old out dated guns were used until they no longer could be. Many times they were modified over the years, like the stock and barrel kept, but a more modern lock was installed to replace an out dated one and so on.
Watching this while building my model 1774 " inspector generals" musket

Did you forge weld head with 3 pieces 2 sides and a head? 🦬🐎
No, in this case it was forged from one solid piece of steel.
