What?? Alexa open my pantry door??? Yes please!!! I have strength issues, this will actually be helpful for me in the kitchen as I go in the pantry a lot but it has to stay closed since the open door blocks the hallway out. I often have trouble turning doorknobs and was wondering if the Murphy door would be too heavy for me to open. Regardless it will be nice to have pretty shelves instead of a door that looks like it goes to the basement next to the dining room.

Kevlar seems strange, the reason kevlar is used for vests is because it's super light weight, but for a door I would think there should be much better materials for much cheaper. I suspect they chose kevlar because they thought it sounded cool

We chose kevlar because it's lighter, you could put a steel panel but one that size would be massively heavy. And it cant fit inside of the panels of our doors 🙂
