Probably a joke but "handmade" or "hand painted" or anything with "hand" in front of it only means that a person has touched it during production and personally done the job, rather than a robot. So you would be incorrect, a man painting something with a spray-gun is in fact, "hand painted". Lastly a spray-gun is better when the user knows how to use it properly, the coats of paint are more even and look much better than with a brush.
