I can vouch for this product. I was using it for over a year until I ended up losing it. You can switch between screen-mirroring and Samsung DeX through your phone. I'm actually planning to buy one again.
FYI: I used it for both my S8+ and S10+.
Did it really charge your phone while mirroring?
did u have fps drop when u connected it? when i connect this one on my samsung note 9, my fps drops and I cannot play games as the fps looks muddy.

It works best with a external keyboard but if you don’t have one connected, the onscreen keyboard pops up and you can use that.

No it cant. I bought one it connects to dex but if you connect a bluetooth keyboard or mouse on your s8 it does not show on tv but s8 moves

I tried the type c to hdmi cord today to connect my phone, and none of the TVs in my house could detect my phone. It's a samsung a50. Why doesn't it work ?
Probably because the A50 doesn’t support hdmi output.

Will using a type c to hdmi cable reduce latency compared to using a type c to c USB cable?. Because when I use a USB c to c cable I feel quite a large input lag and that bothers me.

When connected to my note 10 (android 10) the display mirroring works. However I can not get the phone to run SamsungDex.

No idea. Dex should definitely work on your phone witch such a cable. I don’t believe that Samsung would remove DeX in android 10. Isn’t there a setting somewhere maybe?

I assume that it is meant to popup once the cable is connected. Maybe that cable is not fully complying with Samsung. For example it is 1080 not 4K.

Maybe. I don’t have a note 10. But I’ve seen a lot of videos where they use different cables and all work great.
Hi Stefan, I bought a SATECHI USB-C SLIM V2 adapter and it works now. Also tried a USB key on the ports which also worked but after formating. Charging also works fine.
One thing which is not clear for me is how to load a screen keyboard once I attach the adapter, DEX loads, but I do not have a keyboard attached...

It mirrors what you have on the mobile phone so if the game shows on your phone it will show on the monitor or tv too.

You can’t connect it to a laptop. Laptops only have hdmi out
When you connect it to a monitor or tv, then first both audio and video are transferred but after connecting you can easily choose another audio source on your phone.

I don’t know that. It works down to the Samsung Galaxy S8 though.
But how to get full screen on 16:9 TV since smartphones of today are 18:9 resolution upwards
That’s no problem with any of the modes. Both DeX mode and screen mirroring fixes the right aspect ratio automatically and makes it full screen as you can see in the video. With screen mirroring you can even choose if you want it to change to right aspect ratio or not. DeX mode always fill the screen perfectly.
can you get samsung dex in 1400p ? it seems its a big mystery to get dex in 1440p

If you have a phone that supports it just plug a usb c to hdmi cable in and you are good to go. It pops up automatically

Where did you find the samsung dex mode or setting sir
If you have a phone that supports it, it simply activates automatically when you plug it in with a usb c to hdmi cable to a tv or monitor. Then you can see it in the notification menu afterward.

You connect a mouse and keyboard exactly as you do on a computer. Just pair a Bluetooth mouse with the phone. The phone is the computer not the tv. And ion the monitor just choose the right port in the menu on the monitor.

Of course. It works with any display with a hdmi port. You need a phone that is compatible though. So check link in the description that goes to the manufacturer of this cable and see which phones it supports. But of course you can buy other usb c to hdmi cables too. No. That’s a limitation in DeX so that the phone won’t get to hot.
