Man I love the show, but it was so much better when Bruce was schilling T Shirts for phone calls.
I never got my dam call
@@davidpriolo434 figures…Bruce thinks he’s too busy for a peon like you (or me)
@@davidpriolo434 he was already on his way back to the big show 😂
The show will never be truly great again as long as Bruce's with WWE. If Bruce retires or quits or gets fired and then has another 6 plus years or whatever of stories from the most recent run, and goes and talks about Vince and shit like that again, then it will get really good again but until then it's not going to be that great. And hopefully by then Conrad will realize that the show would be much better with a different hoes cuz he's fucking terrible and he should just pay for everything and sit in the office and not ever show his face on the videos
It's still the best podcast, love Bruce and Conrad.
XPac’s run w/Kane as a tag team was 🔥 back in the day!🤙🏾
💯🤘🏽😎 Clutch bruh 😂
I feel like fans never forgave xpac after turning on Kane and taking tori away from him lol….before that, he was pretty over…just listen to the pop when he helped Austin beat taker at fully loaded
Kane & X-Pac were my favorite Tag Team in the Attitude Era.
I loved that run
@@bryanmack4054Agreed.
Waltman's match vs. Bret on Raw was probably one of the best Monday night matches of all time.
Edit: Waltman's leg drop was one of the best ever.
He was always grateful to Bret for that night. Bret was a genius at in ring psychology. He kept himself over and gave the kid a chance to do his moves and he got the Kid even more over. Bret found the perfect balance in the match. They both came out looking better. Other wrestlers wouldn’t be so giving like Hogan or Warrior who would want to squash the kid. Bret Hart wanted great matches and to tell stories. A true artist and ring general.
@@Makainternational Hogan got pissed at Waltman for doing a leg drop on the same card as Hogan.
When I was young I had a VHS tape with some matches on it and one of them was the surprise win for Kid over Razor with the moonsault. I remember thinking it was great, but I was too young to stay up and watch Raw or anything like that, so that’s literally the only part of Kid and Razor’s rivalry that I ever knew about.
And now, I can go on Peacock and watch the entire rivalry from start to finish, and I’m genuinely excited to do so.
Love this show. Keep up the great work.
Probably my favorite wrestler growing up, I always loved watching Waltman work in the ring. Thanks for a full episode on his hall of fame career!
1:13:54 this is why Tom took on the in-ring stuff & Bruce stayed in the office lol
"You ever mess with Tom again?" LMAOOOOO
No one drops a deuce into a sandwich like Sean Waltman. Just ask Tammy and Mark Henry! 😀
BRUCE. You can’t be serious. New DX is absolutely, 1000% dead on arrival without the Waltman return. That’s instant NWO-level credibility, and that is what made it. That is not even debatable.
I haven't listened to STW in a long time but when I saw this, I had to check it out.
'It' is two things. How/how much they make you feel, and how much they capture your attention.
"they never really had a xpac/triple h match it never takes place why was that?"
-Conrad
..........they wrestled each other at Backlash 1999
Must not have been in the observer so Conrad never heard about it.
Always found it funny that 123 Kid would call Razor, " Mr. Ramon", in their promos
I hate to disagree with Bruce but I do agree with Eric Bischoff hear from a fan’s perspective. Especially as a fan who loved the NWO and DX. And we knew the ties that he had with Kevin and Scott and the relationship of the Kliq because by this point, it’s not like it was 1995 in the fans just didn’t know hell even WWF had HBK and Triple H show the curtain call as a DX moment months earlier so the cat was out of the bag. I know for me and my buddies all of us thought that Sean Waltman was out with injury in steel with WCW at this time and to see a NWO member walk out on Monday night raw and talk about the relationship of the Kliq , it really was amazing. Let’s see Eric Bishoff never fires him and the day after wrestlemania. It’s just triple H., Chyna and the outlaws. I’m not saying it’s still want to be a cool group, but X Pac definitely made it a more surreal moment. Two most of us back then we looked at DX and the NWO as cousin factions if you were in one faction in one company and you left to go to the other company, you would go to the other faction. This is what happened with Rick Rude and X-Pac.
And on a sidenote, it’s kind of why I feel like Eric Bishoff really dropped the ball I having Bret Hart as a NWO “recruitment Guy “ you had a storyline in the palm of your hands to where he’s out of WWF so he can’t get his hands on DX but he can definitely get his hands on Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash and the guy that screwed him over at wrestlemania nine in Hollywood Hogan.
Sorry for that sidebar, but yeah I do agree X Pok did give the group a lot more street cred .
I couldn't agree more. And Bishoff dropped the ball with bret on every level. Bret was the gold standard at that time and could have kept WCW in business If they had played their cards right or at least until he got hurt.
I just don’t get why they didn’t slot Bret in as automatic number 2 guy behind Sting on face side. He just got screwed. All these ex WWF guys taking over WCW? Nope. Hitman could’ve been the shot in the arm WCW needed.
It’s funny because I remember in 1995 in high school someone I knew said, “Just think, someday when we’re old men, they’ll be inducting someone like the 1-2-3 kid into the WWF Hall of Fame.”
That time did indeed arrive…In a way.
I always viewed Walkman as the sidekick to NWO and DX, my favorite version of him was becoming the 1-2-3 Kidd, especially since I was lucky enough to see him wrestle in the GWF prior to the WWE.
Conroid: Waltman had the match of the year of the month.
Bruce: Well, ehh, bahgawd.
I think lightning kid was first wrestler I saw that attracted me to watch by his in ring performance alone, couldn't cut a promo but you watched to see what he would do in the ring
I’ve always been a fan of triple H but one thing that never made any sense to me was his reasoning for wanting to leave DX. I get the point he was making of feeling like as a baby face he was never going to be as big as Austin or Rock was in 1999. But if anyone remembers correctly, he never really went out “on his own” he left the leader of the most popular faction in WWE history to join the corporation. So the whole “wanting to go out on his own” doesn’t really make sense when you go from leader of one group to follow her in another and then the following year are you reunite with DX anyway. I mean, what’s the problem with just turning the original DX heel? And don’t tell me it can’t be done because the four horsemen did this a lot.
This is actually the first episode I’ve listened to in its entirety in a very long time. It’s actually pretty good
I was surprised after almost 400 episodes they haven't already talked about Sean Waltman already.
KILLER THUMB NAIL!!!
Bruce come on. The NWO wasn’t just the Outsiders and Hulk. The NWO remained very good until at least Hogan v Sting, and what made it so special was seeing who would show up next during that whole period. Saying it was just Hall, Nash, and Hulk is such a WW”E” company man, “official corporate” perspective.
The one thing about this podcast compared to all the other ones Conrad does: When he suggests something along with "Fair to say? Dontcha think?" there's no guarantee Bruce is going to reply "Absolutely" or whatever in agreement. I don't know why, but that's one of the things that does intrigue me, to hear the disagreement or discrepancy that Bruce replies back with.
Omg yes I've tried most of the other podcasts and Bruce still has one of the best because they actually have conversations and discussions while so many others just agree to whatever the host says and it's like "yea I guess" and they just move on with no depth of discussions. It's ridiculous.
Been looking forward to this episode for a long time and it was worth the wait!! Thanks, guys!!

Waltman. Big fan. Never gets his credit.
Wow can’t believe it took this long to do a Pac episode 👌
I fucking love this podcast. Thanks y'all
He's one of the most underrated workers the business ever saw. Not a lot of personality other than sticking out his tongue, but a major contributor to the best era the wrestling business ever had.
“Rats the size of dogs…and that’s no exaggeration…and I’m not talking like a chihuahua…I’m talking like a Labrador…”
You’d think Bruce was from Texas.
I'm disappointed that Bruce didn't make a Princess Bride reference when discussing rodents of unusual size.
waltman broke the size barrier in the wwe, not in wrestling. every other company had performers of all shapes and sizes, except the wwf.
The 1-2-3 Kid stole the HHH move of a shaved head plus a huge grey beard.
I met conrad IRL he is nothing but rude.
Hey Hey Bruce. Big fan of X-Pac.
I get weird looks when I say this sometimes but Sean waltman is in my top 5 all time favorites. Along with taker, randy savage, Austin and bret hart. No particular order but taker has my number 1 spot
Excellent stuff guys. Best statement “Kid is made special guest referee for a non title match up for the IC Title’ 😄
I remember sean as the 123 kid and his feud with razor Ramon and he had a classic match with my favorite which is Bret Hart sean was great 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💯
Man, Sean Waltman could draw heat. His X factor days, the term is "x-pac" heat is why. And his importance to the history of the business is special
Xpac heat means people are bored and changing the channel, not the heat you want.
@@Youtuube304sYeah, having X-Pac heat isn't good at all. I remember a specific sign in the audience that was directed to X-Pac and literally explained WHY they were booing him. 🤣
That's not what X Pac heat means. X Pac heat means go away/get off my television heat
@@Youtuube304s He got reactions. Whatever you want to describe it as is fine by me. The worst thing that could happen to an entertainer is no reaction at all. The fact that he could, just by being himself, get any reaction is why they kept putting X-pac out there.
@Amicus624 thats just it though, he wasn't getting reactions at the end. That's why he was let go. Still a great star and deserves a hall nod, bit the fans just got tired of him after a while. It happens.
I think Bruce is forgetting that the reason they didn’t shave Jeff Jarrett’s head wasn’t because they were against shaving the head, they were actually going to, but they had a cheap pair of clippers that was not working. If you’re going to go with battery-operated clippers you better have a heavy duty said, but they didn’t and if you remember, they were in the ring for almost 15 minutes afterwards and when they couldn’t get the clippers to work, that’s when they just started using scissors.
Low energy Bruce and I’m checking out at the 14 minute mark
You can do an episode with somewhat famous characters but short WWF carrer, like Shane/Dean Douglas.
It’s funny, I *still* remember being like… 9 years old and watching Monday Night Raw when Waltham went over Razor that one time. And I have to say that was one of the most awesome and exciting moments that I can actually really remember watching in real-time. Because squash matches constituted like 50% of what you saw on television, and you *always* saw the big badass well known guy (Razor Ramon in this case) beating the piss out of the skinny unknown (whatever-Kid) and the outcome was so far beyond a foregone conclusion. Makes me shocked it never happened more often to get new guys over.
The ells lodge in queens ny favorite, they turmed it into a chirch.
When bruce took that deep breath and said let me tell u a story, a true story I knew he was about to tell a bullshit story lol
Conrad is pulling teeth on this one. Used to be my favorite. Why even do the show anymore. Lets go WHW.
I remember Xpac heat. It was well deserved
Summerslam was 🔥🔥🔥
I saw him once walking in that dog in my old neighborhood in Pennsylvania before I moved, sucks that he lost his dog
I love the new intro 👍
It's funny to see some of the ip2 viewers in the comment section of non ip2 related content. Give benny Blanco a kiss for me.
Hey everyone poo poos on the show right now but I can’t wait for the topics post his current WWE run
Hey Bruce hewryew? 🖐👽
If I remember correctly, Jeff Jarrett lost the hair match because his wife had just lost her hair due to cancer treatments and this was his way of supporting her.
What about Blackhart shaving her own hair? I understand the real life story behind but could have used it for Bayley to have more heat.
Does anyone ever notice when Bruce is asked a tough question or is put on the spot his face gets as red as Brother Love?!
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE YOU.
Waltman Ruled ! X-pac eas Freaking Awesome
Allowing someone like Waltman to have a job in the business was the divide when they were forced to make the brand bigger than the talent. And to think, half the talent 30 years later make Waltman look like Schwarzenegger.
He's smaller by wrestling standards but he's nowhere near as small as people think. I got my picture taken with him and Marty Janetty about 10 years ago. I'm 6'1" and weighed 205 lbs at the time. I look small standing next to him.
Love Conrad but he didnt do his homework. Shane never replaced X pac in DX and him and HHH did have a blowoff at Backlash 99
I don’t care how many times you try to say otherwise Bruce. You guys dropped the ball with Shane Douglas. What a phenomenal talent. You could have easily taken the Dean gimmick off him after awhile like with the Ring Master. I’m happy it happened though because we got the Franchise in ECW
In my opinion having Marty and Sean win the tag belts and only keep them for one week was really stupid. I understand having a title change on the first anniversary episode of RAW, but at the same time it ruined the Bret / Owen storyline where Owen turned on Bret. In terms of you knew it was coming then for sure. Think about it, at that point the Quebecers had the belts for 4 months. They conceivably could have lost them to Bret and Owen, But it was really doubtful they were going to lose them, regain them and then lose them to somebody else in the span of 2 weeks.
Where is Bruce with all the snow in the background?
It’s a fence
Tori should have been part of the DX HOF induction
Shane Douglas didn’t cliq with the Kliq.
Imo. Henning was the measuring stick for workers
I have absolutely nothing to add to this conversation
If he came up today, he would be champ.
I love the late 90’s. Everyone in wrestling wore ugly blue jeans and black boots
Yo Conrad said theres eight months between April and September 😅
But the real Wolfpack, was Hall, Nash amd Waltman 💯
1:47:15 wait so what is " go away heat " exactly?
When you hate a wrestler not because they're a bad guy, but because you find them boring
@brianmcdonald7017 thank you 😊 I was always curious 😅
conman literally read Sean's wikipedia page almost word for word throughout this one. Absolutely horrible! Along with asking overly obvious questions, then huffing and puffing when he gets obvious answers. Sad to say this was one of the worst episodes of this podcast.
Start your own podcast then, mark.
Conrad has you by the balls doesn't he? Your on every comment section complaining about him. You're so negative all the time. Nobody wants to be around negative people.
Damn xpac was marty marty janetty
Very interesting insight from Bruce about Sean Waltman's match getting cut during WM10.....hmmmmmm.....
Is Bruce in the HOF?
Wow they skipped so much through this
Delusional to say Waltman wasn’t the secret sauce of the new Dx, Bruce. Sorry. You’re too close to it.
What where Owen Hart ribs? Dodo?
Bruce is not excited about Kid
I will always listen to this show because I love hearing stories from Bruce same as how I love hearing stories from bischoff. But the worst part of these shows is Conrad. The shows will be so much better with someone else. He should be the money mark and stay off of the podcasts. But I wrestled on shows with waltman a lot in 2010 and 2011. We are doing a weekly showdown in largo Florida and he was there almost every week. He was a blast to hang out with.
Wow lol
Hmm didn't you just say this in another comment? Grow up, you're giving me second hand embarrassment even reading your post. You wrestled on show with Waltman? Lol sure you did, we believe you..
I agree
I agree about Conrad. He’s annoying, BUT he has gotten better.
@@TFRANCHISETHERILLA im sorry to disagree and I'm not disrespecting your opinion, but it's the opposite for me. If you go back and listing to old episodes vs now, I feel like he has lost almost all of his personality, and willingness to interject his real opinion on "controversial" topics. For example he used to be brave enough to at least say "she was roll tide!" when discussing a sexy woman/match from wrestling. Of the same match/topic comes up now he always says something like "thank goodness we have moved on from those days, that would never be allowed now". The majority of us listening Love old school Wrestling WAY more than current PC crap.
Not sure where Connie got this idea that Waltman was the one to see if the new guys were up to scratch, it's absolute nonsense, they obviously were good enough to be there in the first place, Turkey Tits just wants to sound smart and "inside"
Look at all these poor saps hating on a youtube show😂 adfreeshows is a great community of wrestling fans, but these angry youtube commenters are toxic. So glad to know you all won't be at starrcast VI. Us true fans on adfreeshows and the few good fans on here will have a blast!
X pac blocked me, no clue why.
It's impossible for Conrad to not mention Shane Douglas' run in WWF. Let it go Conrad. He wasn't good in the ring. Conrad always brings up that they gave him a crappy gimmick. I'm sorry, was "1-2-3- Kid" not a crappy gimmick as well? Yet Waltman was still over. There's a reason why Douglas was only over in ECW and nowhere else. He's overrated. End of story.
An undead mortician led around by a mystical urn and that dude made it work for 30 years. The right guy can make a gimmick work anytime. Douglas was the definitive Big Fish Small Pond guy. In ECW he was a star because of who he was there with. In WWF/WCW he never stood out.
Bruce bored out of his brains on this one
I wish the guy that hosts with Cornette was the same guy that does Prichard's. Conrad bores me.
Prichard just hating on everything
Bruce has got to be the most UNinteresting person to speak to
Chat me up
This was literally the worst researched episode ever...seriously guys talk about phoning it in...wtf
And how did u come to that determination 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
If you need to ask, you don't know shit about Sean's career.
