    Shawn, just a heads up. I'm on the website and I'm looking at your battery build, without bms. I've a few things to figure out, but its inevitable I'll be in touch with some questions before too long. I've batteries and all the equipment (just about) and now I've seen how you do things it looks simpler and more effective. I'll be in touch. Kind regards

      Sure, contact me through my website and we can talk on the phone.

    so each one of these would monitor one of your eight cell battery blocks?
    and this can also be wired with a bms and a bulk charger and a hobby charger?
    or i would splice these from the bms leads and use the same plug to hook to a hobby charger?

    • @shawname2
      @shawname2  Před 7 lety

      Yes, they monitor up to 8 parallel groups of cells. You could use a BMS, a full voltage charger for the BMS, and also use bulk charging with a hobby charger to balance. They are compatible.

      i'm trying to figure out the best way to configure this. would i simply use the same plug and change it between the gauge the bms and the hobby charger? or could i have the gauge and bms both hooked up simultaneously.

    • @shawname2
      @shawname2  Před 7 lety

      Either way. You could use the same plug and swap it back and forth, or you could wire another plug along side the first one and use them both at the same time...+

      thanx . so basically the bms itself is meant to turn the bulk charger into a balance charge but one has no way of seeing or checking the balance without the gauges.
      one more thing. where can i find the balance charger that you use in your videos. i couldn't find it at www.hobbyking.com
      your videos are very helpful and thanx for your time. i will be ordering from you very soon.
      you have the best system i have found available to give easy access to the unit for replacing cells. you're a genius man thanx again.

    Shawn are you going to be selling this as Case front plate as a complete KIT? I would like to use both a cell logger and a BMS on my battery block build. I bought some cell loggers BUT the cell logger hook up wires I bought had a different count... AND I havn't found a 12s BMS to buy AND I am not sure about which brand of BMS to buy.... ah
    Complete Kits would be great smile.

      Sure, I can do that. Contact me through BatteryBlocs.

    I can't find the case on the website, what gives?

      Lack of interest! I can easily make a case front and back for you though. I just made a real cool double case end that ties two 4" tubes together.

      I do like the idea of using a fence post plastic, being it is square. I am buying an electric moped(49cc size gas scooter) from Fluxmopeds.com for $730 and it stores the battery below the seat. So if I use your system, the tube will have to stand up. Not sure how to configure the batteres, since most systems have them flat. I have to fit 200 batteries in it for 72v 20aH. I would like to see the rest of the case. I am going with your monitor ideal instead of BMS. Thanks.

      I have modified a moped where I got two fence post tubes standing up side by side under the seat. It works well. Two hundred cells------it takes about 19" to hold 100 cells. So you want to go 10P and 20S. That would work well if you have 19" x 8" x 4".

      Shawn, here is the website, video below on what I am fitting it into. www.fluxmopeds.com/innovators/ They also have 4 more electric mopeds left.
