BLACK BABYMETAL is the unit of MOAMETAL and YUIMETAL. It is so named probably based on the picture stories playbacked before this song. In the stories, YUIMETAL & MOMETAL are trapped and changed into wicked (= black) characters singing rap music.
BABYMETAL was formed in 2010.
In March 2014, they took the stage at Nippon Budokan for a 2-day gig, making them the youngest female act to perform there. Their 1st studio album BABYMETAL instantly made it to the US Billboard charts. In summer of the same year, they embarked on their first world tour, performing on the main stage at UK’s prodigious festival Sonisphere Festival 2014 in front of 65,000 festival goers and supporting Lady Gaga on her ArtRave: The Artpop Ball 2014 Tour.
In summer of 2015, BABYMETAL received various awards from prominent UK music magazines KERRANG! and METAL HAMMER and became the first Japanese artist to ever receive these awards. BABYMETAL also performed on the main stage at the massive Reading & Leeds. In April 2016, BABYMETAL had a simultaneous global release for their 2nd album METAL RESISTANCE. Not only did they make the charts in Japan, they also became the highest-charting Japanese band ever on UK’s Official Albums Chart, landing at No. 15th. They also reached the 39th spot on its debut on the U.S. Billboard, becoming the first album by a Japanese artist to break into the chart’s top 40 in more than 53 years. During that same month, BABYMETAL performed at the prestigious Wembley Arena in the UK, becoming the first Japanese artist to ever headline at the venue. They completed their world tour in September at the Tokyo Dome for a consecutive 2 days with over 110,000 people to witness the massive tour final. Not only have they achieved all of the above, they have performed as special guests in various international locations for the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, METALLICA, GUNS N’ ROSES, and KORN.
In 2019, BABYMETAL’s headline show at Yokohama Arena in Japan marked the new beginning of their departure. Literally right after completing their 2-day arena show, BABYMETAL flew to the UK to perform at one of the world’s largest music festivals, Glastonbury Festival, and their appearance at this festival made headlines around the world. That same year in September, BABYMETAL embarked on their METAL GALAXY WORLD TOUR; their first leg of the tour was in the U.S. followed by their dates in Europe.
On October 11th, BABYMETAL had their worldwide release of their 3rd album METAL GALAXY and on that same day, they had their first U.S. headlining arena show at The Forum in Los Angeles, California.
“METAL GALAXY” ranked No.13 on the US Billboard Top 200 (Albums Chart), largely surpassing their own record of their previous album, and ranked No.1 on the Top Rock Albums Chart for the first time ever as an Asian artist. In the UK Official Charts, the album consecutively ranked in the Official Albums Chart Top 20 from their previous album and ranked No.1 on the Rock & Metal Albums Chart for the first time in history as a Japanese artist.
After completing their longest tour ever consisting of 20 shows in the U.S., BABYMETAL returned to Japan to perform a total of 4 days and had BRING ME THE HORIZON as their guest act. The 4-day performance titled METAL GALAXY WORLD TOUR IN JAPAN was held on November 16th - 17th in Saitama and November 20th - 21st in Osaka, and all shows immediately sold out.
BABYMETAL’s first performance of 2020 took place on January 25th - 26th at Makuhari Messe in Japan. The two performances were added as extra shows to the Japanese leg of METAL GALAXY WORLD TOUR. Over the course of 2 days, BABYMETAL performed songs out of their 3rd album METAL GALAXY and each show consisted of different setlists, requiring fans to visit both dates in order to get the full experience.
In February 2020, BABYMETAL had their full European headline run consisting of 17 dates in 11 countries. BABYMETAL’s challenge for world domination continues and only the FOX GOD knows what the future will hold. - Hudba

Always been impressed with Babymetal's choreography. Moa and Yui are damn near perfectly in sync with eachother.
Well from what I have heard Moa and Yui have been dancing together since they were six years old.
But it's a pity Yui-chan is out of BM.. maybe that's one of the possible reasons why they have (or will) not replace her in BM.. there simply is nobody who can be so perfectly in sync with Moa-chan.. their understanding of each other (Moa-chan and Yui-chan i mean) is almost telepathic
Most of these clips are from their Wembley show, believe it or not, they both were very disappointed with their performances there, they both cried afterwards. And I really can't see why, as you pointed out, they look perfect to me 😅 ... and to SU, as initially she thought they were crying for the opposite reason. 🤷🏻♂️

Absolutely, they need the original Trinity back, it's just not the same without Yui, and I'm sure they've realized it too. Perhaps that's the reason for the hiatus, would be awesome if the reason was to allow sufficient time for Yui to fully recover, rather than her going on her own, but "Only The Fox God Knows".

Moa is a great dancer but for the love of god HOW GOOD IS YUI.....her attention to detail is amazing. Both of them have such fantastic fitness levels too.

they need to get the Kami band together again..... for legit, veteran metal fans like myself, these guys were what was giving them that authentic edge. I'm still a fan, no doubt... but those Kami's had a great chemistry with the girls, and a hell of a sound.
I wish Yui returns after whatever that health issue is.. She was made for this group, and people should appreciate it more

at 50......ok 52......53 dammit.......let stop here......I thought I heard all the metal there is...till I discovered this band yesterday...the name didn't catch my attention....but the songs..the riffs....and their stage show......and now I just found out that the lead singer split and their guitarist died at 36 years.......Jesus.......the band is awesome......and the drummer is one happy guy.......always smiling and into the groove.

Welcome to the Foxhole. Su-metal is lead singer and is still there - if she split there would be no Babymetal, the whole concept was formed around her and her vocal talents. It was Yuimetal who left, that was in October 2018 for undisclosed health reasons - she last performed in October 2017 and they held her place for 12 months before she announced she was still not fully recovered and would be leaving.
Su and Moa chose to continue as a duo.

When I first heard of something called Babymetal some 8 or 9 years ago, I just thought it was some random temporary trend of parody of metal songs arranged for the baby generations of the time, so I just dismissed the idea of ever listening to something by that name. Dammit, I've lost so many years of kawaii metal (still, much better than 90% of the metal composed since early 90s though).

I'm extremely curious about Kami Band, they definitely have skills, but production at this level requires a ringmaster, someone like Bob Rock. I'm just a little curious as to who's pulling this all together.
