    Easy to use and go a lot faster with larger jump/pushes and not with a flexing front foil mount... First used when I was about 15, some 54 years ago...

  • @SammSheperd
    @SammSheperd Před 8 lety +2

    The cool thing about this that nobody seems to realize (though I have not used this thing, I have used several hydrofoil devices) is that the sensation of being supported by freakin water wings is really something different. They are so smooth and efficient and are not at all affected by the surface of the water similar to the sensation of flight, rather than floating on a boat or whatever

  • @NorwegianHardstyle94
    @NorwegianHardstyle94 Před 11 lety

    From a tractor on 2 wheels, to a wierd bike with giant wheels, to a homemade hovercraft, to another hovercraft for sale, to a race over a pool with some floating shoes and a homemade boat and now this. That makes sense! ._.

  • @scooterkid66
    @scooterkid66 Před 12 lety

    I used one for a while once and they are so cool! For some people it takes awhile to learn while for others it is first try, and yes, they are legit it is a hydrofoil on back and it oscillates up and down when you pump against the spring and it rebounds creating lift. The nose has a blade that creates lift in front

  • @urbandefinition
    @urbandefinition Před 13 lety

    @TheMrThijsie It's a man-powered hydrofoil. The up and down action propels a front wing and pulls the skimmer along, and the back wing provides the main source of lift.

    oh im not questioning the practicallity of it. in fact, you make some very valid points. i completely see how it could be convient to have one of these in those situations.
    HOWEVER, this commercial is advertising it for recreational use. and regardless of why youre using it, or how practical it is, YOU LOOK RIDICULOUS WHEN YOU USE IT.

  • @Halonablack
    @Halonablack Před 12 lety

    this would be a great addition to recreational water sports at lakes in parks etc... add thiss to the pedal boats and trampoline, and you have a very fun summer camp or company outing or church picnic etc... Encourage enginuity

    but by your own logic, your opinion matters just as little as mine. seeing as how your perception of the"water glider", of my comment, or of anything at all is only your opinion, that means it "matters for nothing". so if thats how you feel, why even post things like this on youtube? your comments dont matter.
