Lyrics to “The Unforgiven”
New blood joins this Earth
And quickly he's subdued
Through constant pained disgrace
The young boy learns their rules
With time the child draws in
This whipping boy done wrong
Deprived of all his thoughts
The young man struggles on and on, he's known
Ooh, a vow unto his own
That never from this day
His will they'll take away
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
They dedicate their lives
To running all of his
He tries to please them all
This bitter man he is
Throughout his life the same
He's battled constantly
This fight he cannot win
A tired man they see no longer cares
The old man then prepares
To die regretfully
That old man here is me
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
Oh, oh, oh
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
You labeled me
I'll label you
So I dub thee unforgiven
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
You labeled me
I'll label you
So I dub thee unforgiven
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven - Hudba
One of my favourite classics with a new, haunting edge.
Damn you, Moses, always bringing tears to my eyes!
Amazing arrangement. Incredible bass.
I swear his music! Is the type of music you listen to at any moment! Especially on a rainy night. Or when you're, just cruising in your car. On a nightly drive.

Hauntingly beautiful lyrics. James Hetfield is a damn genius.
Ive deadass fallen in love with Moses Sumney this past week, I've always known his work but recently it's been really calling.
Goooooooood. 🤜💥🤛
Excellents
Excellent ! Cette magnifique musique parvient en France pour notre plus grand bonheur ♥
just fab
I'm brand spanking new to the amazement of your full range of your God given TALENT, thanks to the movie "Needle in a Timestack". Needless to say, as soon as I heard your voice and lyrics to (what I now know to be) "Plastic". I paused the movie and immediately began to search the web for the song title and artist. It seems like a great movie so far but after finding you..... well, it's been over an hour now and the movie is still on pause! Lol
All that to say , your artistry is astounding! Keep up the GREAT WORK!!👏🏾👏🏾
lol similar story for me, i was watching a movie (i forget which) and there was a moses sumney track (i forget which lol) and i was like hey that sounds kinda like thom yorke-esque right?with the melancholic nature to the voice and how he uses it more instrumentally than just singing words, so I had to first of all shazam the song to find out who the hell that was then binge the living shit out of Aromanticism. Moses's voice is one of the moist unique I've ever heard, with incredible range and emotion and you can really feel his passion through his voice. It really is something special. Grae was released in 2020 4 years ago, I NEED MORE PLEASE MOSES
What yesssssss !!!!!
Theres little chance I ever would have listened to this song 25 years after I stopped liking this album were it not for an amazing artist like you. Totally weird version, I love it.
Woooow! 👏🏽👏🏽I love your take on this song and I still her remnants of the original 👏🏽👏🏽bravo
This song slaps😔
🔥🔥🔥
This is....fu*&ing AMAZING. Holy Christ...
I LOVE THIS AND I LOVE YOU
woooow me encanta qué descubrimiento
I like this more than the original tbh

Ese solo de bajo fue muy al estilo de Victor Wooten brutal!!!
Thats not something. Thats everything
🤘🐍🤘
Pretty BAD ass. just like the original. kudos.
Omg I can see this in some true crime series or something.
Moses please😭❤️
Wow, this is beautiful!
Incredible!!!!
How can we connect with you in Asheville? 💞
Q delícia de som ♥️🇧🇷
This Is very serious stuff
I definetely appreciate the effort to do something different
Hope one day you can do a Peter Hammill song
This would be a good song for my funeral.
Thinking the same..the original is a little ‘hard’ but this is almost ‘haunting’…oh well I’ll be dead….
Adopt me😭❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️
I'm getting mad Chick Corea vibes in the intro
This song belongs to Moses now. It's official.
