The right side speakers are not placed correctly, the speakers should not be put inside a cabinet. This is stated in the product user guide, it obstructs the sound from the top speaker.
We just got to try these out and they sound fantastic, especially when paired with a Sony Bravia TV that features Sony's Acoustic Surface Audio technology.
Great video! I want to purchase. 2 questions: Can the base station be placed in the rear of the room, instead of the front? (my AV sources are in the rear of the room) Do the speakers need line-of-sight to the base station?
You can install the Base Station in the rear of your room, but if you plan to use the included remote control it must be pointed at the Base Station with line of sight for use. Line of sight is needed from the Base Station to the wireless speakers.
How would i use this in my living room and connect it to a multi room setup for listening to spotify? Any simple but good sounding solutions for the other rooms?
The Sony BRAVIA Theater Quad features Apple Airplay 2. With AirPlay 2 and your home's Wi-fi you can play any audio from your Apple iOS device (running iOS 11.4 or later) or Mac computer (running OS X 10.13.2) on the Sony speaker system and other compatible AirPlay 2 speakers throughout your home.
It does not have a way to work with Android devices and be included in a multi-room setup. It does have an HDMI input which would allow you to connect external multi-room devices so that it can be included in such a system.
if you have Apple TV and an xbox, does the sound system still connect to the tv via hdmi or needs to go to sony and Apple TV? can you please write a short guide on this? thanks
The Sony BRAVIA Theater quad uses an HDMI ARC connection from your TV and features one HDMI input for sources like Xbox or Apple TV. If you have more than one external source in your setup you can connect those sources directly to your TV with HDMI using any input that is not the HDMI ARC connection to the Sony BRAVIA theater quad.
For people who don't want to run wire? Now you have to run four power wires instead of four speaker wires. 😂😂😂 I live in an apartment in NYC, which only has one power outlet in the living room. Imagine running extension cabes everywhere? 😂😂😂
I can see how that could be tricky if you only have one power outlet in the living room. For a system in your apartment, running wires to your speakers would make more sense. What are you using for your sounds now?
As usual , Sony does not offer a real product unless you buy Sony throughout. Not being able to use my 85 inch OLED as a center speaker is crap. I stopped the video at that point. Sony TV are always a step behind the Samsung.
0:38 Good job placing an upfiring speaker in the cabinet.

Thanks for the advert.
Nice. Thanks Crutchfield.
You're welcome. Are you considering a Sony BRAVIA Theater Quad?

Price?? Might be kinda important enough not to leave out.
Crazy high😂. I think the idea is great though. They should have released a better newer subwoofer with it.

I would buy this if it came in black 😩
That is a bummer as these Sony surround sound systems sound amazing, but they are only available in a single-color option and not black.
I think this color is more practical in terms of hiding dust
