I vote drop the skirt. Make both rear fenders removable. That way you can make the design as eye pleasing as you wish. A few bits of tube and rod will align the fenders and two bolts to anchor. 😊
Thank you for the titular on how you built your stand, now I only have 5 different ways to build one, so I'll make one from a combination of all of them for myself
Once again your simple common sense Forest Engineering provides some interesting mechanics that are well explained and very do-able for any shop . This concept could be very applicable to different areas that I could use in creating tooling for manufacturing as well. Thanks Div.
I like the simple design of this, been looking at shrinker/stretchers for quite a while and trying to justify the added cost for the stands but this design works great and the cost is more time than money so I think I'll get the bench model and spend a few hours building my own stand, thanks for the help Div, you've always got the answer to my questions
Yoooo! Boet!! Loved the video!!! Defintley making a stand for mine is on my list of things to build. As always I enjoy your insight into measurments and lengths in relation to force needed and throw distance etc. Forest engineering is a big help 😃 Have a lekka one!!!
Hey Div, Good explanation for the folks who did not know that it could be done. I am so used to seeing this tool mounted on a stand I would never consider mounting it on a bench. Many shops have the shrinker mounted on the opposite side from the stretcher which is convenient but it requires that you have more room to operate the tool. Mounting the two tools side by side is not a good idea because it causes one or the other to be in the way for using the other. One could put each tool on a separate stand to place them against a wall to take up less walking room near the tools. Like most anything else, To each their own ! Work Safe, Be Well Enjoy Life
I vote no skirt, but from the shot at the end of this video, it looks like Diff went ahead and made one anyway… I mean, why not, he had the piece he cut out anyway, and you don’t have to put it on.
Excellent way for using up the crops from other projects. a fun project. Thanks for sharing. I just need a bigger garage for all of these projects. Cheers!!
Nice modification. This should help keep Ur blood pressure in check when using the shrinker/ stretcher.... 😡nothing worse than a tool that fights you as you work on a workpiece.Forest engineering wins again.🏁 All the best to you and yours Diff👍.
Hopefully it works well for you for many years ahead of you Div. Very nice work. Can’t wait to see more updates and projects and many more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
Love your videos very clear and easy to follow. I have a couple of these units. Was going to fabricate something off my English wheel frame but have to figure out restrictions while working.
I build a stand for my metal stretcher/shrinker very much like this one only I made a double pedal, one for shrinker, one for stretcher. It's even the same color of blue lol.
Just left a comment on bellos customs latest video check him out on his use of a shrinker stretcher and how it's good exercise for kicking a motorcycle lol. I see you like a shiny paint job on it thought you preferred the rat look lol. At least its ford engine blue so all good. 😁🇬🇸👍
@@ratrodsafrica lol it does make them look pretty like a new penny. Looks like a final between our countrys for the world cup. Glad we got our corrupt government out for one that's about to become a corrupt government lol. Im betting on the spring box to win might make some money out of it after all rugby is just a business now. 😁🇬🇸👍
Just one ? what is how did you weld that without burning the blue paint or did you paint it after welding it considering the screw paint stickman in the intro to the videos keep them coming thanks
I'm not into fender skirts but that fender skirts you built came out cool. You're a very wise and humble man keep up the great work.
I vote yes on the skirt
No skirt absolutely amazing work
Thank you! 😊
I vote drop the skirt.

Awesome afternoon brother another awesome adventure with my brother from another country 😀
Whatever you decide to do brother I'm sure it'll look awesome no matter what you decide to do
How cool is that you ask ? Way cool man. 👍🏻✌🏻thanks for having us along my friend.
Thanks brother
Thank you sir. And the mini skirts. I watched and rewatch your video on the skirts. And mini skirt looks so cool.
Diff, your stand design is so well thought-out, it would be foolish not to build such a stand.
Have a lekka one.😁
Thank you!
Hi Brother, Awesome build as always. Common sense plus experience will always save the day. Mike.
Thanks 👍
Thank you for the titular on how you built your stand, now I only have 5 different ways to build one, so I'll make one from a combination of all of them for myself

Nice, simple and it works, doesn't get better than that. Thanks Div.
Forest engineering at its finest!
That's really cool looking. Thanks for the video Diff.
No problem 👍
Absolutely, NO SKIRTS!!!! Absolutely not my opinion, just fact 😁. Thankyou again Diff. Always amazing.
😄
Грамотный подход к повышению производительности труда 👍

Lever mechanics are very interesting! Can be used for so many applications
Awesome shrinker/stretcher stand. I vote no skirt, and you might consider extending the rear of the fenders.
I think it looks awesome just like it is
Thank you for showing us your stand, very much appreciated as always very entertaining and informative. Keep them coming
Simple plan for an excellent tool
Definitely beats $150 plus, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones, Have a Lekka one
Great job on the shrinker stand Div. Always enjoy watching your program. Take care Boet. 👍
Thanks 👍
Good job again DIV! .. enjoy your videos .... maybe one day I'll make it out your way for a beer! ... LOL!
Welcome any time!
Nice set up Div. Thanks see ya next video.
Nice job Div 👍

Love the tool engineering tutorials! 😊👍👍
Glad you like them!
Nice job on the shrinker/streatcer mod. 👍
Side note on the skirts,... kinda thinking without for now,...🤔
Lekka boet! The usual incredible standard of engineering - Michael Uk 🇬🇧
Thank you!
Outstanding job on that tool stand. Thank you for sharing it with us
Another good one Diff 🇺🇲👍
Hey Diff, you’d swear that the stand was store bought! Great engineering skills brother!!
Thanks 👍
You are such a cool guy! love you videos!
Thanks bro!
I vote no skirt, but from the shot at the end of this video, it looks like Diff went ahead and made one anyway… I mean, why not, he had the piece he cut out anyway, and you don’t have to put it on.
No, haven't made anything yet
Great build! Awesome how you used scrap steel to make it!!
Thanks. I like to use "scrap" as much as possible
Also you want to make sure you have enough travel at the lower rod mount to move the upper lever as much as is needed
Yes. With the top lever so short, not much needed.
Excellent way for using up the crops from other projects. a fun project. Thanks for sharing. I just need a bigger garage for all of these projects. Cheers!!

Thanks! You too!
More shinny paint.... Love it.... Diff the painter
I do paint some stuff 🙂
Your work is perfect! You always take time to explain how things work. Physics 101. Thanks@@ratrodsafrica
Very well described. Good job 👍
Oh no skirt or at most a half skirt. Thanks
Thank you! 😊
Thanks for sharing Div.
shes a beauty Div, well done
Thanks
Good thinking on everything you do !! From Lufkin Texas
Thanks 👍
Aesome once again Div. Have to get me one of those. Thank you for sharing🙏🏽
just getting caught up on your videos like your stand also running boards turned out good keeper going Bill USA
Thanks 👍
Great for sharing have a good day

Thanks
great mode and food stand A++

You are a genius
Not according to my wife...😂
you are a clever og nice job simple but it does the job i hope you well and not flooded out like some parts of south Africa
Thanks. We also had some flooding, especially roads. House and shop ok though
Thank you, that’s some great info, you should get into manufacturing stands for the Chinese tool makers lol Great job on that shrink er stand
😂👍
Most of the time the best tool in the shop is the one that was built in the shop ***
Nice job! You did a great job on that stand.
Thank you!
1:56 At the local harbor freight they have in stock a pair of shrinker/stretcher just like yours for $149 us dollars + 8% tax
So cheaper than what it costs here. As I thought
Great work
Thanks!
Cool bananas.Thanks again for sharing.Cheers
I build a stand for my metal stretcher/shrinker very much like this one only I made a double pedal, one for shrinker, one for stretcher. It's even the same color of blue lol.
I'm 75 and have been an avid fan of "watching skirts" my whole life. 😂
I know it's not the same thing, but I say leave the skirt.
😂I think most of us likes to watch skirts!
Great idea!
That works well 👍
Thanks for sharing
looks nice. I have to make one. thank you
Please do!🙂
Awesome
Great videos. I'm learning a lot from you thanks
Yes I’m going to make one of those 😂 not bad ⚡️
Please do, worth the trouble in my mind
Makes good sense !

Make the skirts removable. Then use them when you want or don't use them.
ty Div i totally love the explanation...i, 76 n i need a external pair of false teeth to pre chew my meat...i know how to do it now .. im kidding
Will it be OK if I build it from steel?😅

Excellent tutorial and added explanation Diff.
Thank you as always.
I was thinking….; do you have,any inch/centimetre tape measures?
No, I don't. Only metric. Been looking here for a combo, but so far no luck
As ek vir jou een of twee stuur met @craigrk wat PE toe kom oor n week of so, sal jy kan reel om dit te kry of laat optel?
If you put a skirt on it you would have the best of both worlds you could run it on the truck or take it off and run it
I'm also starting to think that🙂
Just one ? what is how did you weld that without burning the blue paint or did you paint it after welding it considering the screw paint stickman in the intro to the videos keep them coming thanks
Painted it after welding together
No skirt….
It's a shrinker - levers and arc of motion, that's all a bit complex. It works according to the law of diminishing returns.
You're welcome.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
thanks for the video Viff . but man it sucks when CZcams😡 take down my comment about where I got my set from and cost and link . spam I was told🤬
