I remember growing up in Indiana watching Memphis wrestling on Louisville tv, with young Jim as a heel manager with his tennis racket. Superstar Bill Dundee was the little guy I was rooting for, just like Jim describes.

So many modern, indie wrestlers, primarily from the AEW camp, don’t seem to understand or don’t seem to appreciate the concept of baby faces and heels.

For a kid at a wrestling show, he gets to cheer for his hero. For a working class hero, he gets to heckle the douchebag.
If everyone understands what pro wrestling truly is, then everyone is going to have fun.

Another good example of wrestling is Survivor Series 96. A talented wrestler has been gone for months and months. What is he going to be like when he returns? Especially facing a man he has never faced before? It's likely he's going to win, but how much of a fight will the other guy give him? In that match people were looking at Stone Cold just as much as the Hitman. I loved it. And it wasn't even the best match those guys had against each other. That's what keeps you watching wrestling.

Shore but sometimes, you conect with the big guy and not the small one, like for example, Big show vs the authority, but most of all, you conect with the wrestlers personality more then his wrestling skills, that's why the attitude era drew more eye balls to the business, then the 80's or 70s or 60s
