- Around here, we love to set up and run backyard obstacle courses. It's a fun, exciting way to have quality time with my boys, here in the backyard. Here are 10 obstacle ideas to get you started that you can build for free with stuff you probably already have. Just pick and few, set them up one after the other and then you'll have an obstacle course that not only your kids will love, but will be the envy of all the neighborhood kids! Then next time pick some different obstacles, change up the order and keep things fresh and interesting.
Most importantly, get in there and do the course with your kids! That's the part they'll always remember and what takes a good dad up a few notches to a great dad!

With 4 young kids, my wife Sarah and I know the struggle all to well.
That's why we've challenged ourselves to get outside and have at least one adventure each week.
Whether it's out in the wild or trying to bring some adventure back to our own yard.

*Great video, favourite is the stepping stones. Easiest game of the floor is lava going. We tend to play some dramatic music at the same time to give us some tension haha*
Haha, yeah! Have to have the proper soundtrack to set the mood.
Love the little details that you put in your videos that take it over the top. For example just the “empty pocket” clip was so short but added so much layers with your narration.
Thanks! It’s tough to do stuff like that with vlog style content. Videos like this I can plan in advance and think of stuff like that.

oh wow thanks for the ideas. Every CZcamsr dad always needs coffee break and made gibberish intro! haha - its more awkward when you have to do it in public!
Haha! Definitely. I’m trying to tweak the intro a little bit my mind kept wanting to do the old one.
Here Jeff is showing off all these amazing, inexpensive things you can build in your backyard with your kids and all I'm thinking is... "That is a really well stacked pile of wood in his wood shed there." LOL I miss wood heat so much! Great stuff my friend. We did this kind of thing ALL the time as kids! Love it.
When I was brainstorming ideas, I had to keep stopping myself from making all 10 things out of firewood. That could be a whole other video!
I was a little nervous when you started the swing set shimmy.....but that old swing set held her own.

Never had a pour over. We used to just use a Keurig but Sarah wanted to get a French press. Seems to make stronger coffee so I’m all about that!
@@FunsizedAdventures I have a French press too, though I rarely use it.... I'm all about what's the fastest way I can get it made and into my body so it's the 'ole Keurig for us🤣😂
