Finally! This drama is out after having been postponed before.
Ok. The plot was changed in this for obvious reasons in the show adaptation of the popular BL novel. The show is great, I loved it a lot. All 15 episodes were released yesterday, only those who have VIP on iQiYi get it all available immediately.
Gu Qing Pei is just amazing. I flipping love his character so much and the backstory. My poor heart. These two were so great. No one can deny the great chemistry between the two actors playing Gu Qing Pei and Yuan Yang (Shang Bai and GaoMing.)
The scene where Yuan Yang and Gu Qing Pei had pictures leaked of them in bed together.. ugh. I remember that part from the novel. Frustrating.
This video wasn't meant to be this long, but I wanted to include as much of their story as I could in this video.
Just so you know. Yes, it's a happy ending. And yes, this is Chinese. Both Gu Qing Pei and Yuan Yang at the end are together at the ending scene.

The Official Christine It's okay. I've watched the entire 15 episodes (without subtitles). And it is a bromance series at least to someone who does not understand the language like me. This series is not bad, though I'm disappointed at the author's decision to make it bromance and completely different from the novel. 😕🙁☹️. Guess I will spent more time on the novel once the translation progresses.

Unpopular Opinion: In this one case I actually prefere the bromance of the adaptation to the romance of the novel. Why? Because the relationship in the novel starts with rape (that the victim gets manipulated into thinking he liked) and continues to be a horrifyingly unhealty as a basis for a romance.
Now in the show, messed up stuff happens too, but u can see them progress and grow into mutual respect and found family.
I love BL and the china ban suxx, but this story i like better with close friendship.

@@maria1921 the drama actually did something right by having some development in their characters by the end of the series, but the book didn't. In the book, it was just constant non-consent sex. It wasn't even making love. Drugging, kidnapping.... Like- no. Which is why i'm glad the drama WASN'T a BL. So these never happened in the series.

Everytime you posted a video about this I wanted to watch it so badly because it seemed so good, but then I remembered that the drama is Chinese and Chinese dramas almost never have a happy ending :( I hate bad endings so I never watched it but now that I know that it has a happy ending I´m totally gonna watch this ^^

It was meant to be a gay tv series but china was homophobic then so it was kinda "illegal" so they made it bromance instead which is a shame

I kinda sad bcs of this series.I spent about 540 minutes watching this but I didn't find a kiss scene even once. I felt like crying ... because all I saw was business paper scattered around each episode with a pile of conflicts which made me feel more stressed. I watch the series, and also hear the radio drama version, and now I'm reading the novel, when i hear the radio drama version and reading the novel, I can say I'm dissapointed at the series, they cut a lot of important part in it, but you know because of chinese government law they need to do that to keep the show on 😔
