"If something is important enough, you should try even if the probable outcome is failure." 👏👏👏
Shirley Fung As an investor, those words are not encouraging.
@@JohnSmith-qg3jb Yet its taking that leap that is absolutely vital to forward progress. Sometimes you have to run the Philly Special on 4th and Goal with the big game on the line.
The unknown quantity is your will and creativity, which can go a long way if you believe in something enough.
If u have any money to invest, which I suspect u dont, give it to musk and see what happens to it if u believe so strongly
John Smith I’m glad I didn’t listen to you when investing in to TSLA. Thanks Elon!!!!!!!
Holy crap 2014? So in 4 years
1. Tesla production went from 600 cars/week to 7000 cars/week
2. Falcon 9 have successfully landed on land and drone ship
3. Space X have successfully launched the most powerful rocket in current year while landing two boosters successfully
4. Gigafactory 1 is 1/3 of the way done, and have decreased battery production cost down to $133/kwH. Gigafactory 2 completed, and Gigafactory 3 broke ground in Shanghai
5. Tesla have built from 119 super chargers in 2014 to 11,414 super charges today.
WTF have you and I done in 4 years? Not a god damn thing compare to this list.
It's a team effort not individual
Starman in his Roadster is a work of art.
So well said... And then there's Trump for President... ffs... this world doesn't get what real leadership looks like... Perhaps David Attenborough should do a Docco on this awesome breed of humans....
@@vintageb8 Yeah, a group led by Elon. Those are huge accomplishments compared to other companies' CEOs
7,000 cars a week is for the model 3 alone!
Failure is success. He spent 55 million dollars just to prove a point. Spent his life fortune just to make a statement. That’s someone I’ll respect for the rest of my life.
@Kevin Warburton Where did you get that figure? Officially he got 165 million from PayPal (11% share of $1.5B).
Mars or bust.
...spent all his time just to make a difference
@Kevin Warburton magic number based on nothing
@@Muskar2
Previous 60 minutes interview, Elon said he spent 55 million
Theres gonna be a really good movie about him one day
Given they made a movie ("The Social Network") about Mark Fuckerberg, yeah, I'd think they would.
Agreed. I hope we do go to Mars with SpaceX and i hope whoever buys the rights for the movie waits long enough to include in it all the things that he and his companies will achieve in years and decades to come in order to make a more complete and epic film that does justice to real life.
You probably missed the marvel movie titled "Ironman"
They have it's called Iron Man😅
BucketOfCandy 05 Just one? Mini-Series maybe?
He brings a new meaning to "If you want it done right, do it yourself."
AMEN! I have said that numerous times to many people over the years.
@@bicyclist2 Yep!
hes the Howard Hughes of the 21st century.
Important comment, rarely said
@Gez Tec They ofc didn't invent electric cars, they weren't even born yet. And making a Tesla isn't an "invention" it's just a product.
His genuine humility and lack of arrogance leaves me nearly without words...
The fact that you think that makes you a fool of epic proportions.
@@ThunderAppeal using big words doesn’t make you right.....
Humility and lack of arrogance?
Musk is famously thin-skinned and arrogant when anyone stands in his way or makes him look bad. See: his immature rants about Tesla short-sellers or that scuba diver who Musk smeared as a "pedophile" because he criticized the self-aggrandizing way that Musk tried to insert himself into that tragic incident with the boys soccer team that was trapped in a cave in Thailand.
Musk deserves huge credit for having launched three wildly successful technology companies (PayPal, Tesla, and SpaceX), but he's got an ego to match his accomplishments. We (humanity) need people like Musk to help push us forward, and we might even put him on a pedestal and build statues of him some day, but don't fool yourself about who he is. If Musk was a nice guy he wouldn't have gotten where he is.
nearly, but not completely
Who else is watching after the launch in 2020?
dont you wish youd of brought stock when when this video dropped at $360.00. its 2001.00 USD as i write this
Im worse, in watching today 19 July 2024
"Only four entities have successfull launched a space capsule into orbit and brought it back: the USA, Russia, China and Elon Musk"
Damn
Elon musk is a country himself 😂😂
anyone calling this a fraud, look how emotional and teary eyed he gets talking about when nasa offered him the contract
I agreed man, I felt it 😥
He is great perosn
And compare that with his expression when asked about how he met his wife. I think it's obvious where his passion lies!
Emotional dumbfukk.
Elon I’m 75 and still drive, My bucket list has a Tesla for my last car, hopefully self driving. Here’s my name for it...Daisy like the movie, Driving Miss Daisy. That will be me soon, got to keep living to see how far you take this world. Love you kid.❤️❤️❤️
model 3 is affordable, and the autopilot is almost there. Buy one now... we are buying a model Y
Good luck. Hope you get your wish
The last minute talking about the challenge to make an EV a third the price of the model S.... Fast forward to 2020, the Model 3 outsells BMW and Mercedes in the same class, starts at $35k, Tesla stock at almost $800. Elon is one of the most amazing entrepreneurs and engineers of all time - and a great testament to the power of a no quit mentality.

@@Cars-N-Jets have been waiting almost a year for mine to be built now
Wow, 4 years... Can't wait to see what happens in 4 more!
He will have Americans in space with the dragon in 2
His vision, work ethics, bravery are unimaginable. Love this guy.
"So Talulah what was it that first attracted you to the billionaire elon musk"
Read the book.
The billion?
His rocket duh
@@funkykenan his *_BIG_* rocket
She made bank divorcing him. Only stupid thing Elon does is keep getting married
He almost cry when he tell him about Nasa FINALLY give some light to them...
Elon Musk has no real comparison to Steve Jobs. He's on a much higher level in visionary as well as humanity.
right... I want to change how people see the stuff they buy to I want to change the world. its like comparing Del Boy to .... you know what Elon Musk i cant think of a comparison lol.

Elon you teared me up! 😢 what a great story! You're my hero!
True enough dude the fact is hes everybody's hero most people are just too stupid to realize it yet
You and me man.
9:40 Scott Pelley is so engaged w his story he has a great reaction
9:46 So no one is gonna say how emotional he got? You can tell he poured his soul into this 👀👌 what a great man.
What a human
I dont think he's human
The world needs to preserv his DNA...
@@EDW4RD249 No! The world must clone him to ensure the survival of humanity.

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
So this is how the media treated Elon before he went "rogue". The interview in 2018 vs. this one is night and day in the way the interviewer treated Elon.
dujfraz ikr!
Can you link that interview
That’s America. Just look at Henry Fords life. Obviously some of it he deserved, but he was demonized by the media too. Meanwhile he nearly built the Auto industry and paid his workers a wage they’d never imagined they’d ever receive. $5 a day. In those times, that’d be like if you came home from work and said ‘hey honey, you know how I was making 25K a year? Now it’s 50. And I didn’t even have to ask for a raise’.
Sane with Howard Hughes. Take it as a compliment, I say.
makes me emotional son.... I love his mind
This man is so inspiring. His words, his tremendous will to act on his beliefs. Stunning!
When you have a breakdown in life, watch this video.
He's my favorite role model. What a mate.
If there had to be a world president I would vote for Elon
@Highway Horsepower Yes... he has more important things to do.
And also, he can't run for President anyway, as he was born in South Africa.
May he live forever... Leadership on a stick... Elon, you're a champion mate...
He could become president of the earth for all I care. He the man
This guy is legendary, always looked up to him and I am glad I have secured a graduate position into him company this September.
Elon is the best
This is the most beautiful video in this channel! Thank's for making this!!!
1:48 the interviewer looks like he’s so proud of him.
Elon is the man!!! I own Telsla stock and believe in this guy and his vision.
bad times for stocks, buy btc
Not every stock will net a profit. Even if you lose a few bucks, that money helped change the world.
I wish i bought some stocks when it went down to 108usd. Missed it. But good for you!
Elon is my inspiration, I started designing cars and rockets when I was 9 years old, I am 11 and I am still designing them. I have designed more than 150 different cars and 16 rockets.
Your are the next Elon Musk 💕💕
His company was started not to make a profit but to reveal what is possible. I love that line: honor, courage, and only a pure hearted noble act.
"And you sold PayPal to Ebay for what?" "It was about 1 and a half billion dollars. So, that was a good outcome." You don't say.
He only got a third of the money. He made like 300M and investigated all of it in Tesla and Space X...
Planet Earth cannot afford the failure of Testla
@RickReviews go n read history even in England child labour was present during industrial revolution... if child labour is there in mining then target those industry n not Testla....
@RickReviews Children don't even mine, they are too small and weak while robots and machines, even in poor countries, are being implemented
@RickReviews I never said anything about cobalt.
@RickReviews And I'm not suprised, cobalt wouldn't be useful in batteries, lithium is what you want.
RickReviews batteries can be recycled.
The vision endurance this guy has is inspiring. 9:55 reveals how his drive comes from that vision, linked to emotion, and not just investing money and profit like traditional companies.
When people start comparing you to Countries, you know you've made history.
the look on elon's face when he asked, "you knew eachother for 2 weeks then got engaged?"
jellybean rose you are right...
But man...this Cleavage and pretty face...work with me...
Some women are like Medusa...you know they are dangerous...but you cant resist them...
I would really love to see and talk to Elon Musk in person, he is truly one of the Worlds Most Influential Minds that have been born into this world, being able to have such a good logical creative mindset, that is so smart like many of the famous smartest minds of the world. Albert einstein, Nikola tesla, and also stephen hawking noticing what we should be doing right now in Human everyday life on Planet Earth.
He is an inspiration that we all need.
He is more than just an engineer. He is a super engineer, entrepreneur, dreamer, and a good man.
Wow he slept in his office! No clue this happened, sometimes people have no clue how much people have been through to get where they are.
Another lesson is “Your original idea can change, but the end goal must remain”. Greenhouse to mars became a beacon of human inspiration for space exploration. Bravo Zulu Mr Elon Musk.
An impressive man
He has kept all his promises so far.
I like how he pushes the boundaries of engineering in space and on earth.
🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
This man is insane. I think maybe that's why he's so successful. He's quirky and all, but willing to take life altering risks. And now he could buy my whole town if he wanted to
One thing I admire in EM, he didn't name the factory after himself but after someone he admired. I bet the vast majority of the people on earth never has heard about TESLA before. This attitude speaks volumes, I guess.
09:18 “It’s Kaput”
... Said like a real South African 🇿🇦 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Elon Musk makes average duds like me ask "what the heck am I doing with my life!?!" Dreams and ambitions don't have to die in childhood!
I love it. This is what it means to be an American! Sure he wasn't originally american but his coming to America has benefited everyone including himself of course!
Looks like the future has alot of microphone noise during car shots
The world needs to preserv his DNA...
Like he doesn’t already have a clone or two on stand-by :D
STILL A GENIUS IN 2020!!! WHAT A GREAT MAN!
His self confidence is out of the world❤
Now, THAT'S a phenomenal hair transplant!!!
Indeed
Best hair transplant I've seen
I'm right now doing engineering but still feel that architecture could be my thing. But as usual, my mind is in conflict and I'm not able to decide between the two.
Do you have any advice for this situation ?
Thank you.
“It seemed pretty , pretty dark” wow . Definitely felt that
That was a music to my hear
Amazing story that continues to give hope. Thanks to Elon, thanks to America and hard work and vision through out the world. Thanks to all those who made this possible. Tyrone Giles
When you become emotional and cry about the success of your work,,,,that's passion fulfilled
People are skeptic because they are not smart enough to know Elon and believe in him!!! Elon is ahead of our time!
Agree 100%
Great work Elon Musk. It makes me believe with a Nashville band I can record 50 albums of my original music in one year and then release it all at once with a documentary to prove it. The songs are ready, investors wanted.
An inspirational video regarding how to change the future even if you don't truly believe you will succeed. The amount of progress on transportation on Earth and into space having been made since the beginning of his career for the advancement of technology and betterment of the future is astounding.
Elon Musk and the interviewer are the only two people I've ever seen that smile while frowning lol
More , Please ! Gosh , what an Achievement !!
i've ordered the tri motor cybertruck fsd & plan to buy the S dual motor as well..i have plenty of solar to charge them both & a backup battery system as well..long time invested in TSLA
Hindsight.. this is unbelievable.. literally everything he plans comes true ..
I cannot even predict my next week ..
Getting even emotional watching this
Gives us freaking hope for the future
What's with the weird sound whenever the Model S is shown on the street in this video? 🤔
The only reason he succeed is because he puts his soul in his company.
The man’s a genius. Don’t underestimate humankind. We were given dominion over everything else. Worthy of admiration. And he’s so humble.
I am watching this again 11 hrs before the scheduled launch of crewed dragon demo2...i'm excited.
this reminds of me of The Right Stuff's line "No Bucks, no Buck Rogers"
Show the whole segment!
I like this host. He has just the right amount of skepticism in his eyes, but also wonder and belief.
How can a person like him exist?
Gods plan
How one man can withstand such enormous pressure, something that i can not undetstand
Of all the visionaries and entrepreneurs I've read about, and followed, Elon Musk stands on an island all by himself. A once-in-a-century mind and spirit of unparalleled brilliance and adventure!
This is the greatest example of not letting people talk you out of your dreams. People cared for him and told him to play it safe, trying to prove to him his concept won’t work.
He persevered though and it’s because of his sacrifices and risk taking that he is one the sole people leading mankind into an interplanetary civilization.
Unbelievable passion
He is the real life tony stark
Elon Musk: The Engineer's Rolemodel
I really appreciate the warning for commercials lol
I can appreciate his resilientiency, and love the fact that he is such an innovator !
6:47 It's THAT Tesla Roadstar!

At least USA 60 minutes allows comments. They have a new sergment with Musk which was very good. He left South Africa at age 17.

Elon Musk is the real definition of a living legend.
5:50 sounds like anybody who lives in San Fran/Silicon Valley
I love that I’m alive to witness a man like Elon Musk . History is going to be very kind to him .
He's smart , not over confident, and he's not an idiot! He will go far! Thank you for being a great human being!
