I think I am the same. I turned 14 a day after Matt Monro passed away. I had fallen in love with his voice when I heard it on From Russia with Love that I had watched when I was 12 or 13, I immediately went to look for his albums. Just like I fell in love with Nat King Cole's voice the first time I heard him on radio. I asked my mom who he was. I went out a bought tapes of his songs to play on my treasured Sony tape player. This was before CDs came out.

I first heard Matt Monro in 1963 when I saw the movie From Russia WTH Love , singing the song with the same title, from that point I got hooked, I will never get tired listening to him sing.
