i got some markers for christmas, so i was really interested in this miniseries, but i ended up buying a fancy empty book because i thought the paper would work, it doesn't blend well, but it's really great at not bleeding, but the blending might be a problem the the flomo creative brand markers, but the marker 64 came like it had been empty out of box sadly
*“If it makes you happy, then THAT’S the perfect brand for you!”* I couldn’t agree with you more, dear Scott. Following recommendations can be good, but isn’t it much more satisfying when you know you discovered the art medium you love to use yourself..? You really gotta be careful and stay in your comfort zone, otherwise it could be that you feel like only using what others use but don’t feel like yourself… And for the millionth time, thank you eternally, Scott, for guiding us on our art journey!☺️ Edit: and making us realize and discover the endless depths of art!
I love your encouraging messages, letting younger artists know that the “rules” that they were taught aren’t hard and fast rules. Creativity needs freedom and room to expand. You’ve taken up Bob Ross’s mantle of positivity. Thank you.
I see a lot of brazilians here and, as a brazilian too, I'm also very happy to see your drawing of Pelé, the king of soccer. We love your art. Love from Brazil
saw this during an anxiety attack and immediately calmed down, theres something so soothing and grounding about scotts voice so thank you so much for being on the platform, i and so many others appreciate your content more than youll ever know ❤
I would like to say that because of you I got Art Beeks 80 piece marker set and I LOVE THEM!!! You inspired me to start becoming more serious when it comes to art! Thank you for inspiring a young artist Like me. You're amazing!!!! 😉🙂
I have a question - As a young artist who has been looking and researching a lot of artists lately I realized everyone has an “art style”. I don’t, I like to try a bunch of different things from different styles of watercolor, markers, collages, color pencil, digital art, etc. Is it okay to not have an art style?
I say try them all and do what you want everyone has a style and it develops more and more when you become older, but overall just do what you want and try out things. Don’t worry about not having a ‘style’ just have fun making art!
Normal printer-paper (but 100gms) bound into sketchbooks has always been my go-to for everyday sketching! I do a lot of quick sketches or everyday notes with coloured pencils, 2B pencils and fineliners. Its always smooth and consistent so I like it a lot and can go through 10+ sketchbooks for 10€ of paper!
@@aquabluerose7734 i do! I taught myself a few years ago using "sea lemon's" bookbinding tutorials on CZcams. She has a whole helpful playlist and I've made at least 30 for myself and friends :)
I have normal hot press paper that I use for alcohol markers and what I do to prevent bleeding is just put a piece of wax paper behind it and you can use the next paper without wasting :)
Helloo I wanted to ask: Did you pick up a pencil and you drew masterpieces or did it take you a long time to do the are you do now I can’t draw at all and I d like to know if artists are just born with talent Thank youu
Not at all! Nobody is born knowing anything(except how to breathe, maybe). If you know anyone who’s especially good in anything at all, whether it be sports or art or video games, ask them questions. How long have they been doing a thing? Did they ever think about giving up? I can guarantee you’ll find those answers enlightening. I’m a teenager and I have a notebook right now I’m using to learn anatomy. Two years ago, I would draw my arms as thick as my waists! But now I’m so much better. It comes with loads and loads of practice and determination to get good art. Don’t give up. If you like something, if you really and truly like doing it, then keep working! You’ll be proud someday. You’ll look back and realize just how far you’ve gotten by just having fun.
I seriously love your channel and I could go binge watching it for hours it's something in your videos that doesn't make it boring or similar to other artists channels
You should try the Ohuhu brush markers, they are amazing at blending, have great nibs, and are really cheep! Would love to see your Reveiw on them and their marker pad,
A tip you can use to stop bleeding onto the next page (for Scott or people in general) in alchohol markers or thin paper (basically any time it bleeds) some markers come with a little sheet you can put in to protect your previous page or you can use a scrap peice of paper! Hope this helps! ^^
To keep the paper from bleeding I suggest you put another sheet of paper below it, that’s what I do, and the paper to stop it bleeding onto another page always looks really neat after a while
I really enjoy this particular mix of stylized realism. The skin always "pops" in a cool way. The way hair is drawn (not in this Short, but in others) is also very cool, reminiscent of ocean waves and flying silk fabric. Thank you for your art, Scott. It is inspiring and fresh. God bless you all.
the way the markers layer on this paper kinda reminds me of the way marker tool in ms paint looks. I love the look of like. colors not blending just layering. Like you’re holding colored glass panes in front of each other it’s so pretty
I'm so happy you say using what makes you happy is what matters. Digital art helps with me not being sensory overloaded and helps me find joy in creating again. I've so many rude comments about me using a digital format to create which has made me feel discouraged lately. 😭
Exactly,I like using bullet journals for sketchbooks because I prefer really smooth paper. And while it's definitely not the best for the art supplies that I use,it just feels nice to work with
I love when You're telling a story and you're drawing at the same time. You're so inspiring And You're my favourite artist So I am always happy when I see your final artwork.
As a Brazilian, I am immensely grateful to see how much our King Pelé is recognized and loved around the world. Rest in peace King Pelé. Thank you so much Scott, I don't even need to say that your art has the most beautiful style I've ever seen, and your purity always trying to teach us something with every mistake and success. Thank you so much Scott, I often say that you are my guru😂, cause yes, I will follow all your steps, learning from the best maybe i'll get somewhere right😂. Thank you Mr Scott.
I can’t get art supplies anymore (I suck at art) but I like seeing you test out art supplies that well stable people can get and seeing what works best it is really nice and very cool!
This is such an important thing to remember! The only time a piece of equipment or medium is "wrong" is if it stops you making the art you want to make!
