Jaden was a beast this year. He played amazing against AnM. Hope he gets to the league.
The story about the depth chart should tell everyone all they need to know about Riley. I appreciate you being candid and wish you the best at Miami and in the league.
I loved Jaden at ou.. kid was a stud. Happy he's doing well at Miami
I loved Jaden at OU. I remember hearing that he had offers at Clemson when he came to OU.i was happy that he picked Oklahoma and appreciate his time here in Norman. Glad he's doin good.
Sooner fan here . Enjoyed watching Jaden play at OU. Glad hes doing well at Miami.
As an OU fan, we could sense there was something shady going on that year but it’s very interesting to hear it from in inside perspective. I’m a fan of Jaden and I hate the way they dealt with him. So glad he’s happy where he’s at now.
That was a great interview. JD balled out this year for the Canes!
I liked this kid at OU and I like him even more after listening to this interview.
Riley knew WEEKS in advance. there's no way in hell he sells both houses negotiates a $100M contract with asst coaches.
Yup and think about the terms..he can use the private jet whenever as well as his family and doesn't have to pay gas or maintenance lol like you don't do that in 12 hours
@@bjcbjc6133 Exactly. Straight lied about that!
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 Davis a dogg!! We appreciate your time!!
Cane Legend
Bummed that Jaden left. I think he'd have done really well under Valai. That said, I'm happy that he's found success at Miami. He deserves all the success. Wish him a long, healthy NFL career.
THANK YOU Jaden Davis. Appreciate your time at Oklahoma. Be great at Miami
Great interview fellas
Thanks!
I can't stand Lincoln simply the way he did it. He left OU in bad shape that had the program gutted with massive player departures. He received the team from Bob Stoops in a good transition. He didn't have any respect to do the same by giving time for OU to plan for a new coach and it didn't help he started recruiting OU commits. It's all over though and I feel OU is in better shape now without him.
Listen to what the kid said. OU SHOULD HAVE beat OSU. They had the talent. It was a set up loss. He didn't leave OU in bad shape, the guys jumped the portal before the announcement of Venables taking the program over. Riley left, mainly, because of a huge payday. It's not rocket science...
@@corydavis617That is pointless. He gave no notice of his planned departure. Of course he left the team in bad shape! He left the team scrambling for a head coach for the next season. It is also pretty obvious he didn't focus on beating the Cowboys. He literally left the State during the week to meet up with USC. What other reason did he have to leave during practice?
A made a mass exodus of people to the portal because players didn't know what direction the program was heading. He hurt recruiting on the onset with many decommits as well. 4 5 star recruits decomitted. Brent Venables did a master of a job recruiting on short notice.
@@Mkeegs79lol!! I feel sorry for you, dude....How do you function day to day, being that damn stupid??? Stoops had always been in the backdrop of the team, after he turned it over to Riley. To say that Riley left the program in shambles, after having a 10-2 season, is extremely laughable. Stoops took over for that game, for a reason. He didn't hand the keys over to Riley, entirely. He knew that kid better than most....
miami did a great job going to get this man and them canes are really just a few pieces away..just a few pieces
Jaden is a baller
Big OU fan here. I think during the LIncoln Riley era, being a DB here was terrible. The coaching just wasn't there. Jaden absolutely balled out his freshman year here, but that was kinda the plateau here. I feel bad for any defensive player who came here between like 2015-2021 because OU completely failed to develop guys.
Sooner here. Love me some JD. I think you’ve got a compression setting off or something. Good stuff.

Loved watching jaden at OU!
Good insight on TVD.
Gotta get him on the pod
I’m a Jaden Davis fan! Go ‘Canes!!! 🙌🏻
Go Canes 🧡💚 Jaden A Dawg 💯
DAWG
You tripping dog, Oklahoma fans are happy LR left!
As OU fan this makes me even more happier that Lincoln Riley and his staff is gone because why is a coaching staff acting more like a child than the actual children be a man stand on principle until your players what it is and what it isn't I've seen Jaden Play All 4 years I owe you every single game he was the most consistent tackler out of all corners he play well heart a passion it's just crazy what he was going through I had no idea
Who’s the other gentleman green black T-shirt?
GO CANES🙌🏼
Norwood balled out that year if we’re being honest.
Jaden was a baller too and had promise those first 2 yrs but let outside stuff get to him to much.
Rileys staff was god awful his last year
So glad LR left. OU is in a much better position as a program now with Venables, but there were some obvious growing pains as we had to wash the stink of LR out of the program. I feel kinda bad for USC fans....they will have to endure the culture of their program rotting from the inside out and it's just getting started. Riley has a great offensive mind, but he is one-trick pony and doesn't know how to oversee a program....from roster to fans to boosters to media....he simply doesn't have what it takes to be successful in the long term. I'm thankful he isn't our problem anymore.
Time stamps
I think Caleb knew. The last two games you could tell something was up.
cane legend
absolute baller
Lincoln knew early that season he was leaving. He probably didn't know where but I'm sure his agent targeted 3-4 teams. There were still some high profile openings if the USC job fell through. Who knows the reason(s) why he left.
2017 was the notre dame game Miami was ranked 2 afterwards then lost 2 straight
It was fun while it lasted
3 straight losses after the ND game. Sloppy game against a bad Pitt defense, lost Walton/A.Richards/Herndon right before Clemson, and some defensive collapses vs Wisconsin in the bowl game. Tough but you're right: was VERY fun while that rub lasted
@@jordash325 yeah I wasn’t talking about bowl game in the orange bowl where we got smacked around
I don't think Guidrey really wants to be a head coach. Maybe I'm wrong, but he seems to me like a guy who loves to coach defense and doesn't want to be bothered with all the politics of being a head coach. Don't get me wrong, if the defense is as good as we think it's gonna be he's gonna get paid but I think Guidrey is happiest coaching defense
At the end of the day we SOONERS seen the name on the back of your jersey waay too much.
Take the Charmin 💩 out west!
Oklahoma fan since Steve Owens. There will always be the keyboard Warriors, but the rest of us Oklahoma fans are not that childish. The selfish, Dishonest Way Riley left means good riddance to us. We don’t want somebody like that in charge of the program. No one will be able to convince me that he didn’t tank those last two games specifically so he could be on his way to USC. Anyone that believes the lies he told about how he made this decision in the space of a couple of hours, after losing that second game and being knocked out of the big 12 title game because of it is just ridiculous. Especially against Oklahoma State, if you watch his playcalling at critical junctures, he called the most difficult plays for Caleb Williams to try to execute. First time in five years we lose back to back games, to two teams that we are on paper significantly better than? Perfectly timed to allow him to get an early start and go to USC? Him going so far as to tell the team that of course he’s not going to LSU, that’s because he knew at that time he was going to USC. I don’t blame Lincoln Riley for taking the money. What we have been told, is that USC really backed up the armored truck. At the end of the day it’s a job, and what they offered him was significantly more. But the way he left told you all you needed to know about his character. In the long run, a lack of integrity will always bring a downfall.
Miami: 2017 1 loss regular season
BOOMER SOONER
He basically said what we all know , Oklahoma fans are nuts & need to touch grass lol
Boomer baby
