I dont know about thrift stores in the US, Dani. However I was in San Antonio at a Goodwill thrift store and I was very impressed with the selections they had for both men and women in terms of clothing, shoes etc. I wish our thrift stores were as good in Canada. Dani, if you ever come to Canada and do your shopping here, a piece of advice - please dont go to a thrift shop. They are generally more expensive than regular clothing stores and you get all junk, thats why.
Have always loved thrift shopping and upcycling. There's still beauty and quality in used clothes. ❤

Dani, I got a story to share. I went to Monte Carlo in Monaco snd I wanted to buy a handbag for my mother. They were giving a 800 euros discount. The overall price was 3,500 euros which is very expensive. I did not know handbags were so expensive. I also went to Harrods in London - 5000 pounds for a handbag and it looked ordinary. So expensive. Lesson I learned - dont ever shop for a woman's handbag in Monte Carlo or Harrods in London, UK

Dani, I have always wanted to go to Texas, being from Canada. I wanted to see the Alamo. The San Antonio Riverwalk was a huge ripoff. If you are into drinking and fancy restaurants, then I would recommend the Riverwalk. The Alamo was also a ripoff. The best things I saw in San Antonio was the San Juan Mission and the Mexican market. So if you ever go down to San Antonio these are my recommendations.

It's sad that the working poor can't afford goodwill anymore.
Especially since their inventory comes at 0 cost. I remember shopping Goodwill as a kid in the 90's. Shoes were $1-3
