I have seen number of vlogers based in Canada but this is something I love watching every time and the reason is both of them are simple and straightforward with no show off. The way to presents and video quality is amazing ! I am also living in GTA Toronto so can say they reveal things practically!
Thank you so much Mamta ❤️
I agree ... I have been following her from long and she is not like the other Vloggers something different you can always expect from the channel...
@@AttyDG ya very genuine people with whom you can relate with:)
Yes! It's so good to see both of you in the video! 😇
Live the live the way you want!!
The video quality is increasing massively by every video, super impressed!

Thanks for being so transparent and sharing your expenses. I have always wondered what it must be like living in downtown toronto.
For those trying to save money, look for places in the city where transit can get you around quickly but isn't downtown. And look for neighbourhoods where you have shopping options other than Loblaws and other expensive supermarkets.
For example, living near Main St. station or Victoria Park station on the Line 2 (east of downtown) or near Kipling or Dufferin station on the line 2 (west of downtown) will still get on into the downtown core relatively quickly, have much cheaper rent, and cheaper grocery stores. On the Line 1, stick to the west side of the line...stations like Eglinton West, Glencairn, Lawrence west offer cheaper areas that can get you into downtown relatively quickly as well.
Remember, your monthly transit pass or each transit ticket costs the same regardless of the distance you go. So for those living downtown, they pay $3, ride a slower streetcar for 20-30min on a trip similar to those who live outside of downtown and pay $3 and ride the faster subway. But those who take the subway can live a bit further away for cheaper.
I started watching your channel as we are also moving into a 1+ den in Toronto in May 21.
We budgeted 4000$ per month so despite your love of takeout you're definitely in the zone!
Will be interesting to see how much pizza is left over at the end of the month!!!
Keep going!!!! Would love to meet you guys when I fly for my studies
The way you guys are narrating your stories and the quality of ur contents are speechless. Videos are inspiring too. ❤️
To be very honest, your video editing skills are amazing ❤️
Well put together, thanks for sharing. Keep streaming 🤙🏼
So over here, I spend a lot on ordering food in. I pay for myself and my dad & mom (retired businessman & homemaker respectively). I ordered 1 veggie dish with roti/porotta every week during a weekday. Sometimes it's a fish dish. ON Saturdays, which is my day for drinking and ordering what I want, it will be a lot more elaborate. It's a lot more than some families but it helps us. I also tend to buy from certain restaurants that give you a lot more than what you pay for. That helps
Try to buy groceries from zero waste stores, and from fresh markets the prices there are quite good💫
So informative, Pooja!! The kind of content I was looking forward to. Thanks a lot :) I’m mentally comparing it to my expenses in Melbourne 😂
Subscribed! Started watching you couple of days ago and love your videos. I can relate, learn and explore at the same time on this channel. Also, you two are so cute together. I will say hi if I ever get to see you anywhere in the city. Best of luck!
Superb video quality, amazing content...the break up potrayal with the help of a pizza..oh so creative...peekapoo u were made for youtube❤️...
Thank you for this video, I had watched many videos related to expenses and this one is the best amongst!
Love the videos that you make😍 you content is always very informative and superb👌🏻
All these expenses are reasonable in Toronto, except for the food. $700 for groceries and $500 for food delivery is too much for 2 people. I spend about $250 for groceries for one person and no food delivery. I shop at Freshco, Nofrills and Costco. Loblaws is too expensive.
I agree! groceries for 2 people per month in toronto costs about 300-320 max per month
yup agreed
you kind of have no choice when you dont live near these tho. i wish i could go to costco but the nearest one is very far uptown. frescho and nofrills are also really far for me. Sure I can take the TTC but a 10 min walk is now a 40 min commute. they closed down the T&T downtown as well. So even tho loblaws & longos are expensive.. its close to me. it depends on where you live.
I just find the downtown experience is really limited by location especially if you dont have a car.
food delivery is totally optional and a luxury
If someone thinks spending 50$ per person on weekend for entertainment, fun or food after 5 hectic and exhausting days is luxury, then he needs to think about getting depressed or low as that’s the only cheapest option to handle home/family/friends sickness out of your own home country.
And they don’t have car, otherwise this grocery can bought from Costco under $400 or max $500 but they will end up spending 120 to 150$ on rides for commuting.
Not more then $300 for 2 people $700 for groceries 😂
You guys are just amazing and spending money on what you enjoy doing isn’t bad at all♥️
I literally wait for your videos ...they are amazing 👏
I like how your so honest with your viewers . Thank you
amazing editing....good job pooja!!!
Good job! Editing is superb👍 Good to see Saransh in the videos
Super super informative. Cheers guys!
Liked video before watching as always❤
We have spent so much on food deliveries during this lockdown🙄 that was one little window of escape from 2020!
Just watching your videos makes me want to pursue my Toronto dreams more and more ❤️❤️
❤️
You can change it by moving out of downtown if you don't need to.
Hey guys! So I have bee following your vlogs since a year now I guess and I absolutely love you guys together! And there is so need to be embarrassed about your food expenses! It hard to earn money and do everything when your just trying to settle down in your life! Enjoy ur life! people are gonna keep saying stuff and giving their unwanted advice but yeah if you can afford then spend it luxuriously! Its your life afterall!
Thank you so much 😊 ❤️
This is super helpful to someone potentially moving to Toronto in the summer! Just a quick question if its not too personal - what % of your income are you able to save living in a high cost of living city like Toronto? Would really love to see savings (and investments if you guys invest) in a future video!
I live in downtown by myself. I don't cook so I do delivery everyday Food comes to $1k per month (Freshii, Fresh on Crawford, good healthy and nromal food). Usually I would say $4k/mo is a sweet spot. I own my own marketing consulting business so I can move some of my expenses as business expense. If anyone is looking to save up and buy a house or condo while living in downtown, I would say realistically you need to save around another $4k/mo. So $8 to $9k after taxes if you are working. P.S. - I don't have car and I rent.
Saransh did pretty well in the video but he's also really good behind the camera
AWESOME Video 🔝 loved the details 🔥🔥💖
Loved this video! I am going to stay a few months there and it was very helpful!
Hi Pooja & Saransh,
I do really feel for you both that is a lot.
I wonder if it’s worth living in Toronto with very high living costs. I think the quality of life doesn’t always mean high costs . Living somewhere cheap and affordable can also mean quality. It’s like saying a $5000 Rolex is better quality because it’s expensive but a $50 watch does the same thing for much lesser price. I think both of you seem intelligent and mature I am sure if you do your research and properly look
into it and see if there’s any less cheaper option by the looks of it maybe there isn’t any at the moment. There are certain things you would need to sacrifice to reduce your monthly expenditure especially your phone bills.
All the best
Thanks a lot for sharing your personnal experiences 🙂👍🏼. It's really helpfull for those who want to move to Canada. Hope to see you guys whenever I will be coming to Canada. By the way, Saransh you are great !! Keep it up, it's so pleasant to see a couple doing this together.
Really nice editing Pooja, and Saransh definitely adds a charm in the videos. 😊
It was nice of how honest this video was.. Really great 👏🏻
Superb! quite informative and explained in an intriguing way
Hi Peekapoo, me and my husband also order food a lot!!! But we were doing that even before covid ! With both of us working like crazy , we don't see it as regret but as a necessity ! We do cook when our schedule is bearable but it is what it is! So u guys r not alone 🙋
Loved loved this video so interesting thank you so much! ❤❤
I'm a student living in Toronto. I prefer takeout over delivery to save on delivery and tip. Also, I cover my spending on takeout food by delivering food with Ubereats right after I buy.
Thanks for sharing very informative and interesting 🤗 love how you used the pizza lol very creative 🥰
One of your best peekapoo. See u in Toronto in August 2021!
😀 good luck! Thank you!
That was a pretty helpful content!! Your vlogs are appreciable 🥳
Thanks Peekapoo .. love you two in a frame 🖼 & also loved the Pizza 🍕 pie Saransh come on vlogs often!
video quality is amazing!!
Loved the idea of using pizza for representation! Great editing 👏
Good to see Saransh 💯
Yes dear it's all a monthly for basic expenses needed in Toronto specially in Ontario or BC province. Wish you all the best dear.
We are new to Canada and we do a lot of food deliveries and you are not alone... we spend a lot too and bound to happen during initial settlement or may be even after who knows. Anyways, each one has their own personal choices and our choice to shop depends on the commute and access to those outlets near to where we live. Same applies to whether one chooses to live in a happening place like downtown and spend more and enjoy life or live in a basement in suburbs and save money. Its all a matter of personal choice and if you are happy thats what it takes. We dont have a car too and finds it difficult to shop from any far off place and carry it home viz with a kid around.. and we end up taking an uber.
Hey Pooja!
Love your content, could you please share which app do you use to edit your videos?
Grocery stores in downtown are far more expensive than what we find in suburbs such as Mississauga, Scarborough where there are most NoFrills, Food basics...Loblaws stores in downtown look more fancy obviously but markup on each item can for sure blow up the pocket of many middle class families in GTA... would recommend looking out for FreshCo, Food basics, NoFrills but unfortunately downtown folks don't have that much choice
Best vlog till now
Keep it up guy's
Loved it 🤩😍😍🥰🥰🤙🏻
Waking up with this lovely video😘
this is 100% true..I spend exactly the same on everything in downtown Toronto. Expect the rent since we stay in a 2 bedroom condo :)
100% takeaways and ordering is the only happiness in lockdown! Loved your video 👍👍
Haha we are all in this together 😂
Really looking forward to meet you guys in Canada 🇨🇦 🤗🤗
May i ask if the condo you rent is already furnished? furniture, tv, washing machine, bed included?
DAMM PEEKAPOO YOUR VLOGS R INSANE

Hey Pooja n Saransh,
I hv been following from the Day 01 you moved to Canada and my god your video editing skills getting better each day. Today Video is by far the best I would say considering the effects, sounds and effort all put together.
Well done Peekapoo.. ❤❤
Pls feature Saransh more in your videos. Coz you two are goals.
Keep up the great work. Cheers!!!
Thank u guys for sharing 🤍
Hey guys... I just love your videos...they way u guys are presenting each n every videos is so nice...and hey no need to get embarassed about the food ordering...even im like u guys... i just cant live without food...tasting new food items is one of the most happiest thing in my life..bcoz i just looooveeeeeeeee foood..!!! live your life to the fullest...no need to think whos going to judge...just live happily..
yeah 4k is fine without car and insurance.
When you buy home, then you would incur car, insurance for home and car. Life insurance (we opted it after buying a house, to be practical its needed when you have this much loan). Awesome video!
Your videos seem so professional now 😍 wow!!
We pay 50 $ for Bell 1 GBS in downtown .. you should negotiate ..
Been following you since day 1 you moved to Toronto I plan to move there in the future may God make that possible for me
Can you give the breakage of taxes applicable as per the incomes.
You guys are getting better day by day and one like for Saransh
This is really helpful, thank you 😁
Wow, I really enjoyed your video.❤
Very good video. I have criticized you a lot for your Aruba Videos because of travelling during covid, BUT now that you are back with your Toronto Content, i appreciate your efforts again ;-)
Saransh, even though you are camera shy, you do really well...we would love to see more of you❤️
You seriously got amazing creativity poojaa❤️😍 #FavPooja
It was actually a very helpful video. I also spent a lot of money on food deliveries.
I was just watching yesterday’s live video and this came up. Quite excited and keep this up 👍 by the way would love to hear more about how you take care of facial skin. I got to know from live video that you don’t use facewash. Then how you clean your face. I am sure once in a month you must be using something so would love to know about that. I also have dry skin.
Will do an updated skincare routine 😊
This video is so entertaining 😀😀😀... Love ❤️ it
Lovely vlog ❤️
Cute video. Well done and thanks for sharing.
Nice to see saransh in the video... Very happy with this video..ur content is getting better.... God bless you guys.

Aww thank you so much 😊
@@Peekapoo 💕💕✌️
Did you upgraded your camera from Sony zv1 to something new?? Quality looks amazing
Yes I did :) got a DSLR finally!
Yes! Absolutely we spend a lot on food delivery here in India too.. !!
Well they don't HAVE to... they want to.
In India food deliver is cheaper lol....You pay Rs.100 for delivery and there Rs.10000 how you pay alot in India?? Can you elaborate...Duffers like you are residing in Canada and wise people are still in their home country.
Thanks for providing a bird's eye view of approx expenses one needs to keep in mind for downtown. 5k it is!
Actually $3520 for a couple + entertainment and one off purchasing etc.
Groceries would not cost 700 per month for a couple most of the times. Most of the couples are able to manage within 300-350 per month without any compromises. It actually depends on the stores you shop from. There are many expensive stores but then there are stores such as no frills, freshco, walmart that can help you with your budget
@@prachisidharthincanada1394 This is a good point. They have this nice really central neighborhood - fantastic for nightlife... all the great clubs and such are walking distance from here and there are loads of good places to eat out however they are far from most grocery stores and the one they are using really racks up the prices... probably because it knows that there are a ton of Condo dwellers with no place else nearby to go to. All that said $350 per person is not actually all that bad. In fact the only reason I think they can stay that low is that they are only cooking 2/3rds of their meals. They order in for the other 1/3.
Wat work youll do n any cheaper places to stay in Canada?
Yes dear pooja it's a normal standard/basic of living right now. Important you both are happy not sick. Take care we love you pooja both.
Amazing pooja .. loved the video .
I spent a lot on my dog 🐶❤️ his grooming and stuff and i am not planning to control it 😁!! Rest on house help and cook majorly after rentals .
Big up to Saransh! These are the little efforts that make us feel appreciated as subscribers. Thank you for sharing so much of yourselves, Pooja. You have no idea how you're helping a lot of us out there.
Would you consider it cheap living in toronto as long as you have housemates to split the bills with? Or is living there still expensive in some aspects and what aspects? Thank you!💛
Peekapoo, please share your youtube journey.
What should youtube beginners do to start.
Moving in next year . Pray for me 😅.
Save some money by Getting dhokla and idli ready made flour 😉
Love to see Saransh ❣️
5:41 funny 😂😄 i was laughing too ... lovely video guys..keep up the good work. awesome video quality and editing. 9:33 I spend a lot on food delivery and uber..actually my kitchen is under lockdown 😄 I am not allowed to get in.
Good information in deed, Saranj made the video more lively
Thank you for sharing
What about cloths??
Canada seems very costly, I live here in USA in charlotte suburb area and spending 2200 $ monthly for couple including car rent everything. And we dont spend much on ordering outside food much its just 50 $ for us.
Peekapoo i really like your videos i just started watching
Love this video! can u do more videos like this , for example details of the basic stuffs you can buy at supermarkets monthly?
I did a grocery haul before but I can do an updated one! 😀
@@Peekapoo ok pooja! Thanks dear. Me and my husband are immigrating soon. That is why we are planning our budget etc. ❤️ love your videos. Keep posting 👏🏻💐
@@hannahs4782 You are about to have culture shock as to how expensive the food is. I don't know where you are from but that does not matter wherever it is there will be food markets specifically aimed at providing you the produce you would find back home - which will be fantastic if it did not cost 4-5 times what it did back home... of course you will pay it because you really really miss [insert nostalgic recipe of your youth].
