  • HOW TO Clear Trees and Underbrush : Part 1
The last serval days I have spent clearing trees and underbrush to create a future fruit orchard. I stared with my ECHO PB-9010T Backpack Blower. Yes it stood up to its reputation as the worlds strongest backpack blower. Once the leaves where blown out of the way I used my new BILT HARD TNA 0006 58cc Chainsaw to clear the trees and underbrush. For the really small trees and underbrush I used the Craftsman V20 6"chainsaw. This was 3 days of working, on the last day I used Match Light Charcoal to start the fire to burn off all the trees and underbrush.

    Video Recap:
Over the course of 3 days I have been clearing trees and underbrush to make a future fruit orchard. I have been planning this out for about 3 years now. This hillside is a south facing hill that would provide plenty of sun for fruit and chestnut trees.
This process started on day 1 using my ECHO PB 9010T to blow and remove all leaves from the ground. Once this was done I used my BILT HARD Chainsaw to cut and clear the trees and under brush. All the small trees and under brush were removed either by hand or with my Craftsman V20 6" electric chainsaw. After the trees and under brush were in brush piles I made a fire and burnt the trees and under brush down into ash.

Hi Del, I hope your day is going well. Yes I have no complaints with this chainsaw so far it works very well. You are right I would love to get a PTO chipper. But to be 100% transparent with Monique in nursing school I don't think it would be the best financial decision at this time or at least next 21 months lol

Look for one that uses your pto. The stand alones are ok for home owner use but you need a little heavier duty than that with that forest management your doing.

Yes I have been checking FB marketplace for a used chipper! So far they are just slightly cheaper then something brand new. Its really the top part of the tree thats a pain to break down and get rid of.
