Overnight in a 120 Year Old Decommissioned Military Fort.

Still too much snow in the mountains so I'm in another state park, this time historic Fort Casey on the western coast of Whidbey Island in the Puget sound, Washington State. I will camp in the winter camping area which is down from the fort and on the beach, usually windy and no exception this time. I will explore the turn of the century fortress of Fort Casey, it has dark tunnels beneath the guns which echo as you walk and talk. Easy to spend an hour or two seeing all the sites here which include, two 10 inch disappearing guns, two 3 inch pedestal guns, several empty gun battery's, a couple search light areas and a beautiful lighthouse. I will only explore the fort.
