I love camping in a rain forest and this trip I spend a solo overnight in the lost rain forest, easy hike in the lost rain forest, easy meal, easy campin. I have a custom built FJ Cruiser, named "Spike", with a bed in the back and a refrigerator to boot. Come along on another adventure into the Lost Rain Forest.

I visit one of my favorite areas in WA state, the very center of the state, Liberty Wa and its historic mining district. I visit a couple mines, the Virden mine and even enter the main tunnel at the Wall Street mine for a look at the ore vein. Once I'm done risking my life at the mines I head to camp at 6300' (1920m). on Tronsen Ridge.

This is one of the plants that is really worth getting to know, just so you don't end up getting stung.

Went to a remote campsite in the cascades mountains to escape the summer heat. Beautiful, seldom visited area with a nice mountain stream, the North fork of the Stillaguamish river in its youth, before it gathers friends and becomes a mighty river. Now called Colockum Pass Road, I begin in Ellensburg and travel over Colockum pass and look for the old stage halfway station. Spent the night at 6300' in Central Washington. I check out a couple viewpoints, hang out in my 10x10 canopy, and sleep in my FJ Cruiser.

I travel to a remote corner of the seldom visited Washington state badlands. I sleep in my FJ Cruiser on top of Cactus Mountain at 3300ft. after enjoying a meal heated on my propane campfire. Easy campin at its finest!

May 2024. Found a nice spot with a view overlooking the Skagit Valley of W. Washington. Have a bed in my FJ so no tent required.

Came up to camp at Panorama point as there was very little wind and I wanted to do some star gazing. I return to the Valley of the Ents for a solo overnight deep in the forest in a seldom visited area. Spring is finally upon us and the forest is green with verdant growth. I walk in a mossy forest, hang out in my canopy and sleep in my FJ Cruiser.

Late April overnight camp on Mossy Mountain. I also explore some old abandoned logging roads and find a new (to me) waterfall. The new tires are Falken MT, I have used them two weekends now and I am impressed. Sleeping in my FJ Cruiser.
