The second apron is no joke. The penalties changes the way teams have to deal with contracts and trades. Once you see how restrictive the second apron is, you can finally understand why my Clippers let Paul George walk for nothing. Even if we got players back, that means it’s still adding salary. Second apron is basically like a hard cap and it’s going to be in full effect this upcoming season.
Look at Klay. Warriors only got back 2nd round picks. You don’t want salary to keep coming back. LeBron and Lakers fans don’t really understand all this. They just buy Kobe or LeBron jerseys and are quite clueless about how everything else works. Read up what Lucas Hann wrote about that second apron last summer. Once teams reaches that second apron, that franchise becomes handcuffed and it can be for years. It’s not like before.
Second apron is actually helping poorer owners like Jeanie Buss and stopping richer owners like Steve Ballmer and Joe Lacob from overspending. The problem is, LeBron isn’t exactly helping Jeanie here by taking a max deal. He doesn’t get how the new CBA works. To him, it’s just pay him and his son and then play victim when his team fails again because he didn’t have enough help.

LeBron missed a MASSIVE chance at winning another title in LA. He could've taken a 20mil pay cut and allowed them to bring in another big piece or 2 to make them contenders again, but in taking the max deal, he's basically relegating them to just making it back to the playoffs and then getting swept again by a number of much better teams in the west. Cool to see him play with his son, but if he manages to win another title with this current Lakers squad, it'd be his most difficult and therefore most impressive title win ever. That said, if somehow they can actually pull it off, this would be a HUGE step up in terms of the GOAT debate. I've been a LeBron fan for a long time, but even I can admit that Jordan's resume is still heads and shoulders above LeBron's, but if he can win another one in LA, especially with how his squad currently stands and with how stacked the West has become, it'll be his magnum opus and definitely bridges the gap in the debate.

Y’all fail to realize lakers was 18-6 when they used their best line up with dlo, Austin, bron, and rui that’s part of the reason Darvin got fired because he waited to put his best lineup out their and if we used that lineup to begin with we would have be a top 5 seed easily but let the media tell it the lakers not good enough

Funny to mention the Rockets, OKC, or the Pelicans. Lakers owned those teams last year. Warriors are 1-6 vs the Lakers last 4 years in the playoffs. Not scared of them either. T wolves, Denver, and Boston are the best 3 teams which will all give LA problems. So will Philly since LA has no one who can guard Maxey.

The Lakers have been struggling to get a 6th seed & avoid the playin for the last 4 seasons. OKC got better. Pelicans also got better. Memphis might be better w Ja back. You’re also assuming Bron & AD play 70+ games again.

If my team signed someone old as Noah, paid him 100 mil over two years and he’ll take every other game off, hired a stiff for a coach, I’d be excited too!!
