I haven't done diploma in hotel management or degree however i have been working in F&B service over the last six years. I started as fresher in a 2-3 star hotel then moved to a cafe, thereafter i joined pizza hut, after working 8 months in pizza hut, I was between the jobs for one year. Eventually i got the job in another cafe which didn't run successfully, thereupon I got the opportunity to work in a hookah lounge. I lasted two years there. I wanted the experience of a bar or club, finally I was able to join a bar, spent six months there, then worked in another bar which isn't open yet, that's why I'm still at home. Waiting for the bar to open as soon as possible

Advantage - After 10 Year down the line u can call urself a good experienced chef who will be earning
from 60k to 100k. And much more
There no disadvantage in food production if u have a passion u will get respect and money more than other department and u will get job in any countries

Plz allow me to correct you i just finished my training from marriot pune now the hierarchy has changed in the restaurant like steward>FnB exe>assntmanager i mean there is no more captain's designation from a steward u directly get promoted to a FnB executive. When i enquired about it , i got to know it was applied to whole marriot family there is no more captain.
