@@MBPC21 Not one hundred percent true. He sells through Copart yes. But I know at least in Missouri Copart will, based on Missouri laws, let an individual buy a car at auction as long as the car does have a clear title, not a salvage title. So in theory he could sell to an individual, but he does have to go through Copart to do it.

$1500 is way too cheap for that Outback. It would sell for $3000-4000 in Oregon.
$1500 is the wholesale price. You are thinking of retail prices.

The rambler is a piece of art to enjoy, power for cheap! Probably a one time chance.
Key to finding cheap cars/good deals is to be patient and be ready to pounce when one pops up.
Also don’t get stuck on one car, especially if you get into a bidding war. There will always be another.

The problem with the limo, the state of NY made modified frame cars nearly impossible to register. I don't know if any other states have those rules.

That Caddy even with the old Northstar should be worth more than $1100. The last model years were relatively reliable particularly at 29k miles. Buyer got a bargain. Even if it blew up in 10 thousand miles, you could never buy a running car for that price.

My mom leased one back in the day from 2004-2007. Really great car! I actually almost bought a 2003 L.L. Bean last year. Until I found out it needed about $8000 worth of repairs. So I ended up buying a 2005 Honda CRV with a 5 speed manual. I love it.
My dad owned one when he was a dealer and he loved it and let my mother drive it even after the divorce, she then traded it for a 2018 Corolla in 2019 that later got repo’d, she got rid of it because the the radiator was acting weird and me my dad was fixing it
Same here, pearl white with the brown leather interior. My sunroof leaks, that's the only thing wrong at 114k miles.
@@Flies2FLL you probably just need to clean out the sunroof drains with some compressed air and windshield washer fluid. That should do the trick!

Randy what you don't realize is that Subaru with that low of miles will fetch around 7 to 8k in the Idaho, Washington region. I just did a search and comparable vehicles with same mileage were 6900 to 8000.

Exactly, people saying it's 4 - 5k retail is like a pipe dream here in Massachusetts. Easily thinking the bargain here if that same car went for 7 to 8k.

I have a 2001 Subaru Outback LL Bean edition with the H6 engine and on occasion I get people leaving notes on the window with "If you ever want to sell this car" and a phone number. I've had several mechanics that have changed tires et cetera over the years ask about it, and this while the whole passenger side has been repainted and doesn't match very well! 114k miles and it runs like a top. I've had it 11 years, use it as an airport car, and I won't sell it because I simply cannot find anything remotely as reliable for less than about $15k.

He is a wholesale dealer, he can’t sell retail and that’s about retail on the unit depending on location. Plus he makes his money on the videos not the cars.
Remember he's a wholesale dealer He can't sell to the public He can either put it up at a dealer auction or sell it to another dealer but he can't sell personal unless he actually titles the car in his personal name and you can only title so many vehicles in your name during the year at least in my state and he already buys so many different vehicles personally so he may not want to cross that bridge.
Randy is not greedy. He made a profit. That is all that matters.

That said, since he was debating giving the Subaru to Nick as his first car, he might have actually paid for that out of his own money, not AAR's. If that is so, he could have sold it to anyone then, because then its a private transaction, not a wholesale dealer transaction.
Well done one the Subi. Got what it was worth, quick and without any dramas. Yes, agree with you that the van was a steal. Someone got a bargain and I hope at that price they restore it. Crazy offer on the Caddy. Thing is worth 10x what they offered. Trouble with it is trying to find the right buyer. Something you can't get rid of quickly. Hate to see someone part it out with that mileage.
You may have made 8 or $900 on the Subaru. But you probably lost $2000 on it. Because you had the potential to sell it for $3500. Had you put a little more work into it and a little more effort to sell it patiently with a little more advertising.
Remember, he's a wholesale dealer. That's about retail pricing.

My '01 Outback LL Bean needed an RPM sensor on the bottom of the compressor to make it work. You have to remove the compressor to get at it, which means vacuuming and refilling.
Now I could probably freeze meat in that car....

stretched funeral car is difficult to sell, we had one for 2 years on the lot. A party limo is a lot easier.

My dad had one when he was a dealer and he loved it, he even let my mother have after the divorce, it was overheating because of a bad rad. While me and my dad was fixing it she later traded it for a 2018 Corolla in 2019 that later got Repo’d… it’s a sad story

I mean no offense to anyone, this is aimed the commentors not you, Randy. But I have seen a number of comments saying that Randy could get 2 to 3 times what he sold the Subaru for. You all are forgetting he is a wholesale dealer. If he went through Copart, there is a chance he could have gotten that much, but auctions are a gamble depending on what people think its worth and even then only if a member of the public buys it at the auction. Selling to a retail dealer he couldn't get that much, a retail dealer won't pay retail price as they have to make a profit off their investment.
I am going to buy that limo and make it a CADAMINO. Next time through the auction, I'm in!!

For some reason those old uburu's go for stupid money in Idaho. Well a dealer. I want to say $4,500 on the lot. Might be less. A few months back I went down to SLC just because you can easy save over 1,200 if not more from a dealer. You can even get a crazy deal going private.

Randy is a wholesale dealer. He can't sell to the public except at auction via Copart. His cars the majority of the time are always either going to Copart for auction or being sold directly to a retail dealer.
