Great videos Andy and Michelle. Really well put together with the mix of graphics and accompanying music. I've been binge-watching them to see how you get on with a motorhome in various locations. My wife and I are looking to buy one in the next few months. I did have one question...sorry if it's been asked before...do you tend to book ahead for motorhome sites or do you find you can just turn up and get a pitch? I guess it depends on avoiding favoured tourist times/seasons?
Hi Kevin, its great to hear you are enjoyed our channel 😀 We rarely book ahead when in Europe, instead preferring the freedom to follow the sun, the flexibility to stay as long or as short as we like and to discover new places as we travel based on recommendations as we travel. The one disadvantage is obviously when in high season sites can be full, in Europe there are lots of alternatives and the key is arrive early say between 10-12 as people are leaving, that generally works. Sites in the UK are not as flexible, they tend to want to know how long you are staying, don't allow arrivals before midday and theres not really the concept of the Aires as there is in Europe. The club sites in the UK are often full so we would book those in advance, sometimes up to a year ahead for the popular ones like Castleton / Chatsworth at Christmas. Well, it took a bit longer than a few months as I mentioned above but we've finally managed to track down the campervan for us - an almost new Swift Select 184 (72 reg). Now I'm watching your amazing Summer Alps tour #9 and itching to get out in the new van (which the wife has decided to call 'Snoopy' 🙄)
Did Andy have fun driving the Funicular? 😂 love the viewing platform. You two don’t half take us to some amazing places. I’d love a go on that swing 😊 can’t wait to see you guys soon 😊 ps you trumped the viewing platform with the views from the cross 😍

Hi Phil, we think at 7.5m we have a good compromise between being able to get onto pitches without worrying about length but still having the space and comfort. We don't feel the need to go smaller unless we wanted to go really small to be able to park anywhere - but we have too much stuff in the garage to do that! 😀 cheers...Andy&Michelle
