- Calls are received at Troop A Communications advising of a dump truck spilling gravel while driving. Trp. A. Escamilla (A-29) intercepts the truck on AR-440 near the Rixey Road exit in Jacksonville (Pulaski County).
Anybody willingly driving down the highway spilling rocks deserves a HUGE fine!!!
nonsense
The trooper was very kind for not getting DOT involved.
What does DOT stand for?
@@generalpatton838 Department Of Transportation.
State police has a division strictly to enforce commercial vehicle regulations. If they were involved he could lose his commercial drivers license and his job.
Troopers are DOT lol
@@info_fox Arkansas State Troopers are not DOT….. Arkansas Highway Patrol is our DOT officers!!!!
Trooper wanted to get to lunch quicker
As a fleet owner with multiple over the road vans, this made me happy to see one of these rolling vandals finally fined. He could easily do thousands of dollars of damage to peoples cars in a relatively short distance.
edit: Trooper Ana Escamilla is my hero!
Drivers like him don’t give a shit if your windshield gets smashed
No way that officer could pass a physical. Ridiculous, really.
That’s crazy, Mrs. Potato head is in great shape
The driver of the truck and his passenger won’t neither
That's Ana Escamilla... She's been in other videos, she's a tank
@@cliftonjarvis8010 they’re not in LE, so what’s the point of your comment?
@@Cessna172SNavIII it’s a joke KAREN
Those small pebbles can really mess up a car.
a low flying pea pebble took out my grandpops years back
sorry for your loss.
Dangerous for motorcyclists too
He immediately pointed out the gap in the tail gate and mentioning the spray foam, which implies he already knew what the problem was. And even in the Dollar General parking lot he mentions again "when I saw it was small rocks I was like 'oh no,'" so he still made the decision to get onto the road after realizing he had an unsafe load. Maybe he should have just bought the spray foam ahead of time and carried it with him in case he received a load that needed it...
He doesn't have his top tarp cover deployed either.
Agreed he never should’ve accepted the load with that truck, but blame is not 100% on him, his boss or dispatch should’ve better prepared the driver with the proper truck or procedure for something like this. Drivers need to realize if their companies put them in situations like that, they probably shouldn’t be working for them.
I do construction and have taken dump trucks to quarries, landscape suppliers, etc. before. There is no way that guy didnt know what he was getting loaded with.
I've seen this officer before.
Stern, but logical and compassionate.
She's a great cop.
Tough but very fair
@@CJW921983 Absolutely.
I always like the "not responsible for broken windshields" sticker. They are indeed responsible for broken windshields.
Great video. Some might find this boring, but I like it. It shows the regular things we see troopers doing on a daily basis. Too bad 2 sheets of plywood before loading would have prevented this entire thing.
140 mph for this? Absolutely insane
Not really. That guy could have hurt someone, he could have caused an accident and could have done thousand of dollars in damages to other vehicles on the road. You also have to consider that as he drives along the interstate he is passing through multiple jurisdictions. Each time someone called 911 to report this guy, that call was going to be passed off to whoever is the nearest jurisdiction which means you could have potentially even more officers running lights to catch this guy. Traffic was light, weather was good, it was mid day, to me it was a correctly calculated risk.
Cops go 140 because they can
Necessary? That's debatable, if the troopers excessive speed somehow caused a MVA with injuries this would have been a much bigger story than some rocks on the road. SMH
Two cars traffic - she was fine. Calm down
WGAF
Nooooo
No it’s not
The fact that he knew deserve a big ticket and a tow truck.
Yes, that right, tow the truck away. That way, when it is on the tow truck, more gravel can fall out because the entire load has shifted around on the tail gate. Makes sense to me.
Sounds like this has happened before! His remedy was too fast for someone who didn’t know this would be a problem! He should not have taken this load!
Dammm 140MPH that strength wreckless driving. Trooper can kill someone smh..
135+MPH……….for gravel………..are you serious???
He did say the only place to get those little rocks was from Little Rock! 😊
Thanks for the video NST!
When the cop came into view
Me: “what is that shape” 😂
Always glad to see Trooper Escamilla on the job. I would not like to be on the wrong side of this trooper. You are one of the elite Trooper Ana!
I had a similar situation happen to me in Texas. Early morning, dark and I’m northbound on 59 in a class A diesel pusher motorhome traveling about 60 mph when a bottom dump semi blows past me at 70+ mph spewing pea gravel out one of the bottom dump doors. Windshield on the motorhome was chipped up and ruined.
The guy left a trail of pea gravel for almost a hundred miles. I wonder how many windshields were destroyed. Fortunately, my insurance covered the damage.
Those are 9s, they give me a heck of a time in my dumper if I don't put a tarp in the back. That's what he's missing. Not a tarp over the top, but a big loose tarp over the back draped before loading.
140 mph for this type of call is over the top
I’m an ex cop and you are 100% correct. I lost respect for her. She’s great at finding drugs. 140 is unbelievably dangerous. Innocent people get killed from such speeds. It’s not worth it.
We had a dump truck carried rock and one of the rocks hit our windshield. We had to get replaced because it hit pretty hard.
Something probably bent on the gate, the pins, or just simple clean around the pins and gate.
Could weld some strips around the inside of the gate.
Truckers, pickup trucks and automobiles on Arkansas roed spread tires, junk all over the road.
After each load.
Always check before using it especially pea gravel.
Thank you Trooper Ana hope y'all can catch all people trashing are roads!
The seal around the tailgate is shot from slamming the tailgate when they dump.
@@mikeznel6048Gotta maintain these dumptrucks!!! Fingers and pins wear. I ended up buying and welding new clevises, adjusted the properly then no problems. Welded the aforementioned strap on a bent bed, closed the gaps.
a little ridiculous going that fast to catch him!!!
Not if it was your windshield.
Trooper was super nice she could easily shut that truck down.
Has that officer had her torso transplanted onto someone else legs?
Love it I can"t keep a windshield here due to gravel truck ...too lazy to tarp it....the damage come often from the gravel left behind ...
small rocks scattered on the road may be very dangerous to motorcycle traffic
Anyone that has a nice car (or motorcycle!) despises people like this. It's one of my biggest pet peeves not only spilling rocks and gravel that chip up your car or windshield, but leaving rocks all over the highway for other people to kick up. Ask me how I know! Should have been fined 100%. As a CDL driver you should be held to a higher standard.
This happens all the time in Houston Texas no one seems to fix the tailgates
Here they just paint, "this vehicle is not liable for any damage caused to vehicles behind it" All of the tailgates have them
Well done. About 10 years ago my truck windshield got damaged by one of these trucks spilling small rocks. It happened on the Florida Panhandle I-10.
You're extremely lucky if you're on a 10 year interval. I have to worry about this shit every time I drive on the GSP in NJ which is every day of the week!
Those macks are beautiful trucks
Yes they are.
I thought someone got killed by the truck, the way they drove to the call.
driver seemed like a decent dude
I don’t think she knew there was a second person in there. 😂
DOT and $10.000 fine it's a company truck and it has no tarp
great job, officer Escamilla!....
132mph for rocks falling out of a dump truck. With that being said, it is unsecured load, he knew there was a problem where he loaded and could have just dumped it at the load site. 🔔SHAME🔔🔔
Had to go to Little Rock....to get little rocks 😂
RIP to the person in that hurse.sad when only see a few cars in the line. Were here today and gone tomorrow.
I made a rule of mine after I had to replace a windshield to never drive behind semi dump trucks ever again.
This happened to me in Alabama in 2019, destroyed my windshield.
Done and Done. Stay safe, y'all.
It's Bad here in California
All day i see gravel trucks with N0 nets dumping gravel & ruining cars.
He would have went all the way to Jonesboro if she hadn’t of stopped him!
Same trooper that was involved in a High Speed Pursuit with a Black GMC Pickup 7 days prior. She and a few other Troopers even had to “Drag his ass” into her Patrol Car.
You can only transport large rocks through Little Rock
Good stop. The driver failed to secure his load, but at least knows that the foam may help.
This same thing happened to me a few years ago. Truck spilled lots of rocks in the road hitting my car. This was on a one-lane highway. I slowed down and gave him like 20 car lengths and still got hit several times. Caught up and we called the cops and took pictures. Truckers insurance wouldn't pay stating I didn't avoid the (millions) of rocks in the road. My insurance paid but what a pain.
Truckers are given tons of leeway in these cases for their carelessness. In my case the trucker was like "oh well".
I like when it kidnapped Princess Leila and had Han Solo in the frozen block!
As a cdl holder this man just said he didn’t know rock was spilling on hwy dude did you do a pre trip inspection did you get out and check your load before you pulled off I hate drivers like this
I was driving down I-35 in Texas on the way to the airport and a construction truck had rocks falling off of it that cracked my windshield. The laws in Texas are too lax.
At first I thought that I had already seen this one but when it showed Trooper Escamilla I knew it was a different video, plus it was a different driver.
That DG has a good bit to dumpster dive in. 😂
Ive said it before and Ill say it again, that lady knows her drapes.
I love your channel and never miss a video. From previous videos I considered AST Ana Escamilla to be on the scary side...lol. I have a different opinion now and I see she is very good at what she does
I would not want to be on the bad side of Trooper Ana.
The cop looks like a farside comic but is professional.
As a motorcycle rider I automatically steer clear of any dump trucks.
Had one of them trucks crack my windshield. Was on the Richmond bypass when if happened
c'mon Ana, fewer cheeseburgers
Very nice and candid State Trooper. For her health hopefully she get's on keto and exercise routine... extremely large bread basket!!
Why even leave a comment like this? Stay in your lane, ironically
Muy buena acción del oficial , 100 puntos de calificación . Pero tiene que bajar de peso 😅😅😅😅😅
“Not responsible for broken windshields”. Want to bet you are?
She was going at 140 miles???
Jolines esa Ana Escamilla es la hostia es la típica cheroke Mexicana ❤
She's built like Mike Wazowski
What's that sick acid track in the intro?
🤣🤣🤣 The douchiest guys I work with that have fragile, easily-bruised egos listen to that type of music. I guess that’s why they use it on a cop channel. 🤷🏼♂️
140 for a damn truck spilling gravel? Which one is a greater safety hazard?
He should have dumped it when he realized the problem. Now they are going to be buying some windshields along with the fines.
That truck driver passed a written drivers test? Only in the south.
Bro this reminds me when some idiot was dropping legit boulders off his trailer a few months back and one almost went through my grill but I had to swerve all the way to the far left lane to avoid it causing it to slide off my quarter panel and hit whatever was behind me! I swear someone caught one through their windshield, i see up next to the POS and flipped him off while pointing next to his trailer and he still kept riding! I’m no authority- sure but I literally thought this boulder was gonna be what took me out this world as I seen it a mile back bouncing and rolling thinking it was a ball but this thing was hurling like a tire right at me! I couldn’t do anything but curse the guy and flip birds over the situation…
Police never even stopped the idiot smh but they’ll pull me for driving 15 over in a rather safely manner if I say so… I never swerve in and out of cars in tight spaces and definitely never make a move without a signal being able to be placed first ( my rule being if have enough time to signal and maneuver with more than 8 ft of space, it’s not cutting you off, you’re driving slower)
People mention damage to vehicles but it’s another thing for motorcycles. Even with great gear rocks still hurt when they hit you. It’s why if I have to pass a dump truck I’ll zip by them so that I’m not pelted by them.
It’s amazing how many drivers claim “I didn’t know”
That’s a good trooper.
what happened to your pretrip? from the video angle, those slack adjusters are out of adjustment too, my guess that vehicle, (CMV), would not pass a Level IIIi inspection, maybe those motorists will sue for damage, due to unsecured cargo.
Should have called DOT. Impound that truck and make the company pay for damages to cars and cleanup
Dump trucks keep the windshield industry busy
You ran into the wrong hog, dog!
No way that officer can run a mile. That dude is built like a tank
Omg😮
Don't give shit Buba. Til he got caught.
Since when is Gordon Flowers driving a dump truck???
is that male or female trooper??
140 MPH to catch up to a dump truck dropping pebbles? Seems a bit much.
Seems like he should keep plenty of spray foam before he starts his day. Now he cost his company a lot of money.
Now that is a cool understanding cop....wish all cops were like her
140 mph for a little gravel? Doesn't seem reasonable considering public safety.
Her and the driver make a good couple.
You can see his tail gate is open!
I hate getting behind trucks
Do these officers need to go that fast in order to catch up to a dump truck?
A esta oficial ya la e Visto en otro video donde decomisó miles de Sigaros de una ven azul 😅
Why no check on this guy before confronting..might be a killer or warrants
This trooper is actually a broad 😮 WTF
Use newspaper, worked for me in a ponch
Is this the same guy?!?! Nope! 😂 Might be a few minutes late, today was the day we visit Ft. Bragg & take ALL the food!
👋😃
How does she pass police physical test? If she was gonna get involved in foot pursuit the suspect will be in luck
never follow close to a dump truck,, if you do your just asking for .trouble 80 % of these driver are not owner operators and dont care if the company has to pay for damage done to a private vehicle. I worked in this industry for 17 yrs and that just the way it is. .
I hope the fine was substantial. motorcycles have to encounter your laziness
