The guitar shown was played through a Fender Deluxe Reverb from 1978 and recorded with a Shure SM57 (left) and a Sennheiser 409 (right) . The backing tracks were recorded into a Fame Twin Looper on the same instrument right before the recording of each video. A Red Panda Tensor was used for additional loops and sounds. Overdrive Sounds come from a Vemuram Jan Ray or a Greer Amps - Ghetto Stomp and the Greer Amps Lightspeed was used as a booster.
Tobias Hoffmann is a award winning guitar player from cologne, germany. He combines the sounds of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Surf and some experimental stuff. Check him out:

So much space for the notes to breath, an almost impossible achievement that most guitarists including myself fail to achieve. These improvised compositions are also so full of emotional value, I rarely get moved after playing the guitar for 35 years but Tobias does it every time
To be notified of a new VGO Tobias demo is to wonder where he's going to take us this time. This guy is the most brilliant guitarist today. He should be scoring neo-noir films.

Wonderful playing! Look exactly like my 66 Jaguar of the same colour and its amazing that they seem to have the same basic voice. Wish I could play it as good, but now I really got inspired to play it more!

He’s like a yob throwing bricks at our stupid ideas about what should be played - daring unconventional and brilliant - he surprises me every time. I don’t know why he does conventional albums when he should play live and give these impromptu performances. He should be sold as a performer at the Edinburgh Festival and do what he does on camera - a completely impromptu performance based around a loop. Amazing because it’s not worked out. What a fantastic talent!
