If you’re looking for an authentic Southern experience, you can’t go past Charleston in South Carolina for your next vacation destination. We love the Record Stop on King Street. Stop by La Patisserie (adjacent to Hotel Bennet) for a coffee and a pastry then stop by the old vinyl record shop.
Fort maultrie and the Middleton place are cool places to check out. The lighthouse at the end of folly beach is a good place to go fishing

So interesting, all the attention now on the old southern mansions seems to be centered on the slaves, and not antebellum heritage. Must be more woke mentality.
