  • As we start to send data across the network, your bandwidth between devices can really start to add up. There is probably a better way to send data around the network. Check out this video on sending data around the network by Unicast, Multicast, and Broadcast.

    What a relief!
No loud intros/outros, no yelling presenter like Linus presenters.

To be more specific and exact, out all ports except the port the frame came in on.

I'm drawing a block diagram, to use Dante in our studio's in multicast. But can we add a monitor channel (1), per device (pairs from 2 stereo) I'm planning to work with Dante hardware and software, like VIA and Soundcard and the adapters from mixers, there are 10 devices in stereo inputs, makes 20 channels. Monitor channels can be mono, so another 10 channels makes a total of 30 channels. I use 2 x 48 ports multicast switches all capable to route VLANs. It's not easy to plan these all into the network.

Multicast packets are routable. In the context of Dante, this is not part of its design. This is an important distinction.
