The high-alpine resort churned out the drama today as Myriam Nicole and Loris Vergier take the win on Swiss soil for one of the most nail-biting Downhill World Cups of the year.

I agree! Go watch a pro bmx contest, seeing Julian Molina riding with everyone else is something else... Yeah the guy have one leg, he can't do everything but who cares, they should invite girls also. I have this vision one day of an Olympic bmx contest with guy's, girls, Paralympic, kids, ... I don't care about who wins, it's just about pushing the sport and include everyone!

Yeah that's exactly what I thought. Looks intentional and gives him a fair bit of speed into that berm.
Looks unintentional to me. Looks like his pick up timing was a bit off, his back end kicked, forcing him to nose tap, and land later in the downside than intended. Hence, the slight skid into the corner.
Rob is probably the greatest commentator of any sport, ever!! :D

Downhill used to be my life years ago, then I took an arrow in the knee...well, seriously, a got injured in a knee and I got away from bikes, and I was just remebering about my favorite rider Aaron Gwin... and I'm just getting kind of sad and melancolic right now :(

@@saintlaurent6302 i started with xc just like you, then enduro and dh at last. about one year ago i tried to ride xc again but my knee hurts after a while of pedaling. the soft tissue ultrasound showed nothing wrong

Guys do u know how they clock time for dh runs? On this video Nicole finished at 2:44 mark yet her winning time is 3:10. Anyone knows?
They don’t show all of the run, so on the video they cut some parts
@@loganperue5938 i was timing on life redbull tv yesterday and the discrepancy is 20 seconds plus.
it is sooooooo annoying to me that red bull cuts out large portions of the winning runs.... why do this? on a video that will get hundreds of thousands of views and ad revenue... why cut content?
@Marc see idk it could be that the clocks they have run different, doesn’t particularly matter as long as the clock is the same for all the competitors. Tbh I still think even on the live one they cut parts or switch camera angles
@@trbotimmmmmmmeh most likely the parts they cut are the “non exciting” bits. Sure there’s probably those of us out there that would like to see that, there’s also others that just want to see the tech/ jumps.

I thought Elliot Jackson was Mr. Personality... always laughing etc... He was terrible on the announcing for this round. Rob was FULL of energy and Elliot sounds like he just work up and hasn't had his coffee yet. Not a fan of the announcer mix.
Elliot Jackson has no business being a commentator at such a high energy event. At the world champs, he was as calm as a Librarian at a book reading session. At Lenzerheide, he sounded like if he was a golf commentator. Almost put me to sleep. Thankfully Rob has enough energy to carry the show. How about giving Ben Cathro a shot. And definitely not Wyn Masters. Wyn always talks more than the person he is interviewing.
