      Doesn’t he have it in campaign? I swear back when I played him forever ago he definitely had it. Maybe it’s a skill he gets or something but still that’s a really bad balancing decision.

      @@patricksheehan43 He has an ability that gives him snipe stalk and unspottable, but it's an effect on a timer.

      @@patricksheehan43 He can get it on campaign permanently, but as mentioned his main source is the ability that gives him snipe and unspottable after spawning the decoy. It's supposed to encourage you to bait and switch but yknow.

    Alith Anar doesn't have stalk but the massive pay to win giant with a bow (Saytang) can go invisible, can reveal all units on the map and destroy artillery pieces with one shot.

    400 missile strength is absolutely pathetic for a ranged lord.

      ​@@dominusmaximus6925 Wiki says he has 450 missile strength. Not a whole lot better, but still better. But he also has buffs that can give him like 300% more damage, I've seen him do well over 1k damage in campaign at least. And at least in campaign his strength is of course the Spirit of Grungni, being a horde and a summon in battle. It's been years since I played Alith Anar though, so I have no idea what he gets on the campaign map. But in battles Malakai isn't that good either. He's more a support lord than a ranged lord.

    Suggestions for buffs:
    - Stalk (obviously), have him get Snipe as a campaign skill
    - Decoy Alith Anar deals 50% damage in MP, 100% damage as a campaign skill
    - Improve missile tracking, if the missiles are blockable by shields then it shouldn't be (it's a Bolt Thrower in TT)
    - Missile causes Discouraged when hidden (i.e when attacking while Decoy is active in MP and he hasn't been spotted, or the first missile when attacking from stalk)

      Alith Anar projectiles are considered artillery not arrows so in theory they should not be able to be blocked by shield. Another thing is that in practice it doesn't work like that, which wouldn't surprise me at all.

      Maybe he should have a sync skill that buffs nearby shadow warriors (maybe speed + missile strength?) to encourage his skirmish playstyle

      @@darumanu9276 I think your ideas are good: Alith Anar is in reality more of a stealth assassin, his abilities don't seem to reflect that well.
      He has support skills, long range shooting.
      He also has the double, but nothing as specific against characters in the same way that Markus has antilarge.
      I would say that the character's biggest problem is that his long range rarely pays off because his long range accuracy doesn't seem to be good, negating much of that benefit.
      The moonbow should be a like other similar shooting abilities, because I think it is the most inaccurate of its type in the game. Maybe cause more damage, but it's too imprecise to be used reliably compared to Kurnous's arrow and the like.
      If Alith Anar had abilities more similar to the waystalker, I think it would be more efficient. Direct improvements to his own shooting, especially in accuracy. In the campaign it has another direct damage ability with a shot, which it lacks in MP, if it had both it would be more efficient, I don't know.
      It is easy to notice the deficiencies, the difficult thing is to find a way to fix them.

      @@darumanu9276 The waystalker has skills that improve the damage of his shots, although they only apply to the character not those around him, but that type of skills exist, so it would be easy to give something similar to Alith Anar.

      Ironically, Alith Anar suffers from a lot of the same conditions as Tretch, leading to him receiving no attention. Both are FLC lords from relatively early in Game 2's lifecycle and they were from the two Game 2 base factions that are arguably in the healthiest position and the least need for reworking (at least in campaign). These factors mean both are probably low priority for CA to mess around with. Maybe if the High Elves and Skaven receive Game 3 DLC that'll be an excuse to take a look at them.

    Support Lords could be improved by giving them active map wide buffs. Like 20 MA map wide for 60 seconds. On a 2 minute CD might actually be impactful at least in MP.
    Meanwhile Alithanar should not do aoe. He should have an execute on his shots or at least on Moonbow. Let supposed assassin characters actually assassinate enemy characters. They should not be good at much else but they should be extremely dangerous to Single Entities. Hell, give them percentage damage.

    Imho the only use of AA was to count as attacking and pull people in without forcing you to use BTs. Now there is no use for him at all....

    Few things Ive noticed with Alith back when I played this game (will come back to it soon), Have to leave him in woods unfornately and use his clone spell to throw targets off and clog combats up if possible. Best thing for me with him though is his shots count as artillery and grant a debuff to leadership when shooting routing units, making them more unlikely to regroup.

    His moonbow should fire a tracking arrow that flies through a unit over and over piercing lots of models, kind of like that little arrow the blue guy in guardians of the galaxy uses by whistling. That be awesome.

    He doesn't seem too bad on paper. I think it probably just comes down to there is better options. There are many lords that are just terrible.

    Doesn't have Markus's anti-large tools and damage, no good against large targets. Doesn't have Oxy's nearly-invisible, has to be actively protected. Doesn't have Khalida's or Malakai's strong support tools. Sure as hell doesn't have the flying mounts, especially not the solid monster mounts for dual role. He just doesn't DO anything.

    i think the ranged lords especially those on foot should have at least 750 damage for each shot.
    remember those shots can miss and you have ammo. maybe when mounted on a flying mount the damage is kinda fine.
    but then again with the addition of the broken thunderbarge there can be an arguement of them being heavily buffed

    Only thing ive used alith anar for is to combo with overcast hand of glory and a handmaiden to give any ranged unit minimum reload speed(2sec) even then its still pretty terrible lol

    Ok. Real talk, why are there two locked objectives there? I am very much out of the loop when it comes to multiplayer but i swear land battles never had that kind of UI. Please someone explain this to me hehe

      Custom Land Battle map with capture points to discourage artillery boxes and corner camping, I've seen several of those in replays.

    Honestly, decrease Alith Anar's reload time, increase his accuracy and increase moonbow damage by a hell of a lot, more like the bow of the seafarer item and turn his decoy into a short range teleport that leaves a decoy behind and he'll be way more competetive.

    You know whos better then Alith? Every lord with ranged attack and a mount. Princess has mounts like the griphon. Wood elf lords are both Way better, helm of discord or prey net ability with good mounts.
    Just give him mount options, like horse and eagle already be way better. Or vastly improve him on foot..like stalk and snipe be cool.
    Be only foot range lord with snipe and it would make sense

    I think completely unkitted hes extreamly strong on foot next to a loremaster & a champion when they have each other covered in melee grinds he always gives me double his cost when hes sniping high cost targets and taking out artillery hes essentially an artillery piece that gives leadership can run and can fight off chaff when hes being healed

    Buff his damage
    Buff accuracy
    Increase projectile speed
    Give him stalk
    Moonbow should deal the same damage as an luminark. It should be dealing 2000 damage.
