Just starting to get into Touhou and saw Mountain of Faith on a list of good starter games. I've only gotten to the 3rd stage BUT GODDAMN IT'S GOOD!! I listened to part 1 of Heckey Ricsi's Best of Touhou OST Remixes and loved most of the songs so much + now hearing the soundtrack of Mountain of Faith I'm legit thinking Touhou has the best soundtrack in media history!

You know, MoF used to have my least favorite OST out of all the Touhou games, but it's really grown on me. A lot of the songs have an odd endearing quality that makes them a lot better on repeated listenings. And, of course, Sealed Gods is the best Touhou title theme. Fight Me. (please don't actually fight me i respect your opinions)

The stage themes starting from The Gensokyo the Gods Loved are so good I had to pause the game constantly because I was distracted by how good they were.
Grave of Being and Suwa Foughten Field aren't the most melodic, but they do what they're supposed to do. And what they're supposed to do is scream "This is the final challenge, this is your strongest foe, you're fighting a literal god" with every second. And they do that amazingly well.
I love this OST aside from Touhou 6,7,8,11,12,13,14,15,16,17 and 18. (I actually said all the main Touhou games xDDDD) I remember once I tried to test (either my older sister who doesn't completely know about Touhou) and I said: Ok sis, what does MoF mean? And then she said: Is the "F" part a bad word? And I burst into laughter. Man, the nostalgia added in the music even though I knew Touhou for almost a year or a year. (Either October or December is when I discovered it)
I'm a dumbass who doesnt know what he's talking about, time to review this ost Romantic Fall: simple melody, it's a somewhat nostalgic song, brings the words "beginning of a new journey" to my mind, ZUN said it was "the most 1st stage song so far" and I agree. But overall I don't think it's as good of a song as the others in this OST, 5/10 Because the Princess Inaba is Scolding Me: feels playful and it's much less intense than the other boss themes, has a very strong trumpet melody tho, 6/10 Dark Road: probly my favorite, the melody is addictive, it's melancholic, but also kinda festive, the trumpets really carry the song and it only gets better, 10/10 Dark Side of Fate: fast piano melody, even more playful than the stage 1 boss, for some reason it doesn't stick as much to my mind tho, 6/10 The Gensokyo the Gods Loved: strong start, strong melody, strong instuments, really invokes a feeling of walking thru a forest, strongest part is when the song returns to the beginning's melody, 8/10 Candid Friend: kinda weak beginning, but strong melody, not as fast paced as other themes, makes me picture dolls dancing, song gets more intense when trumpets kick in, specially the part where the main melody repeats with the trumpets, 7/10 EDIT: wtf was I thinking giving this a 7, this is a 11/10 at minimum Fall of Fall: a song that feels grand, intro really catches well the feeling of climbing a huge waterfall, song really goes hard when the flutes kick in and doesnt stop, 10/10 Mysterious Mountain: guitars, I for some reason don't like this one's melody as much as the others, I find it kinda weak, 6/10 The Primal Scene of Japan the Girl Watched: I really like the trumpet melody on this one, but there's not much else I really like, 7/10 Faith is for the Transient People: this song is INTENSE, I really like it, my favorite part id when the flutes? kick in (idk what instrument it really is), the melody on that part is simply divine, 10/10 Grave of Being: a intense song that serves to build up the final boss, I think it does a great job at that, it has a good melody and really combines with the boss's theme, 8/10 Suwa Foughten Field: a overwelmind theme that beggins instense before turning more playfull, makes me think of fireworks, 9/10 I don't really have a opinion on the extra stage songs since I have not played the extra stage yet cause I am horrible at the game, and I'm the kind of person that really connects to a song after hearing it in game with it's original context but I do think Tomorrow is Special; Yesterday was Not sounds very festive, makes me think of festivals, and Native Faith start sounds like a more intense version of stage 1 boss's theme, sounda very playful EDIT: I have played the extra stage by now, my opinions on the extra themes have not changed lol, a 7 and a 9

Mountain of Faith has some of the coziest, most atmospheric stage themes in the entire series. Stage 3 feels like it's Gensoukyou in song format.

By far my favorite one is Primal scene of Japan the girl watched. That is probably up there with my all time fav songs overall.
