- As the world becomes increasingly uncertain, it is essential to be prepared for any scenario that may arise. In this video, I go over 21 must-have prepping supplies that are bound to disappear from store shelves and become priceless in a collapse.
As we witness empty store shelves during times of crisis, it becomes evident that certain supplies become scarce before others do. That's why knowing what items to stockpile beforehand is key.
While this list is 21 items that will become priceless in a collapse, I mentioned many more during this video that fall into each category.
This video uncovers the truth about prepping supplies that will disappear when the collapse occurs. From ammunition to alcohol, to the significance of personal hygiene products, I leave no stone unturned.
Don't be caught off guard when the collapse happens - arm yourself with the knowledge of what supplies are vital for survival. Watch this video now to discover the prepping essentials that every prepper knows will be priceless in an SHTF scenario.

In the winter of 2021, when we lost power in Texas, my camp stove and lanterns came in handy. We have a bigger supply of butane/propane now as a result.
I have 8 of those grill bottles and one 50 pound tank I keep filled for this reason. I use one for a grill but it stays full
I would never barter ammo. It can be used against you. They can have it after I lose a gun battle.
I have been Prepping for many many years before retiring a few years ago. I am still prepping. I have a generous supply of different meds, first aid supplies, books, food, water, flashlights, batteries, cleaning supplies, fire starters, tools, camping gear, foil, Ziploc bags, contractor trash bags, some baby supplies, Heirloom Seeds coming out of my ears, ammo, different forms of fuel, comms, solar lights, sturdy boots, plenty of clothing water filters/containers, coffee filters with the knowledge of how to make them from scratch, good supply of hygiene products except a small supply of women's hygiene and a good amount of other supplies. Keep Prepping.
You say you've been prepping for many, many years and now retired for a few years now. In all those many many years of prepping and money spent on prepping, how many times (other than maybe a few days during winter if the power went out) has that prepping saved your butt?
@@Blueknight1960Had surgery. Couldn't shop for 3 months.

For every weather related disaster I've been through and the 2020 pandemic, I found: Water, toilet paper, hygiene products, lithium batteries, rechargeable batteries, solar chargers, solar lighting, expired meds, dried foods, and fuel sources to be most valuable. There's 3 main things you need to survive in most conditions. You need to stay warm, dry, and hydrated. My GHB or BOB contains items that will keep me warm, dry, and hydrated.
Stock up on good neighbors and organize. Common sense will be in high demand and short supply.
Everything will be priceless.
It just hit me that you don't want to barter ammo, they could use it against you too take the rest of your preps...
Beans, bullets, & booze!

One of the things that drives me crazy is the popular notion that people will routinely cook over open campfires. Really? Have you ever tried to cook over a campfire? Ever had to deal with wet firewood? Can you find enough dry, seasoned logs for day-in-day-out cooking and heating? Does anybody know what a rocket stove is? I've had mine for almost twenty years and, in my opinion, it's the perfect "survivalist" cooking stove. All you need is a handful of dry twigs and in no time at all you'll have a roaring little flame suitable for any frying or boiling application. The twigs should be no thicker than a pencil. You might run out of propane, gasoline, charcoal, or large logs, but you'll never run out of small twigs!
Jet stoves and 2 n a half cords of oak/mesquite will work for awhile. Also have many bottles of bourbon and dozens of bottles of cheap wine. I'm a beer drinker, sucks for me. Thousands of . 22 cal pellets and 5 pellet rifles. Hopefully won't find out what a crow tastes like(gag).

Make sure you get heirloom seeds, they will produce year after year,if it doesn't say heirloom on the package it's hybrid seed,if you save the seeds from hybrid plants they will grow plants but no veggies
Great point!
Hybrids are just crosses SMFH
@@ThaSilentOne420 Yes, 'crosses'... You don't understand the genetics of what a hybrid is and why they are so popular. The proliferation of hybrid seeds allows seed companies to sell seeds year after year BECAUSE SECOND GEN PLANTS WILL NOT PRODUCE VIABLE FOOD. You have to rebuy your hybrid seeds year after year
I have a lot of non heirloom seeds that i replant every year. I plant squash, carrots, onions, and bell peppers year after year from the same seeds.
Thank you. Great advice
62% of our clothes are imported from 6 Asian countries and come through the South China Sea. Clothes are so cheap (and cheaply made) that we really don't realize how important this is, especially with growing children.
Preparing for shortages is a good thing you learn to be self reliant . How ever preparing for survival is a whole different ball game . This means to do what ever you need to do to survive . I guarantee you that most people will not prepare at all & when they or their kids get hungry enough they will start hunting for food & do what ever they have to do to get it !!! Are you willing to Kill someone over a can of beans or a loaf of bread ? Speaking for my self I wouldn’t want to live in that kind of world .
Who is going to sell his ammo after a collapse when money will have nearly no value.
I might supply the local militia with ammo if they have some teens routinely work in my garden.
I might also trade two meals and fresh water for a day's labor weeding my garden.
Or I might trade a large tarp, nails and scrap lumber to cover a damaged roof for five gallons of gasoline, and a handgun
Or a pharmacy pill bottle half full of salt for a coon hide if it is well stretched and scraped.
I'll take a trade of two pounds of frozen meat for 2 hours of generator time to keep your refrigerator cold for another day.
trading stock...
Cash will be worthless. Gold is the money of kings, silver is the money of gentlemen, barter is the money of peasants and debt us the money of slaves...

You need someone who is able and who you can trust to cover your back.
I'm retired and if I can't get my meds, I'm a dead man.

Maybe it was Illinois instead Wisconsin. 5 Governor's, of Blue States.
In WWII my dad would trade cigarettes for food
Basically - everything you use in daily life)
For fire starter supplies a magnifying glass can be more important than say matches or lighter as on a sunny day you could simply use it to start a fire.
For sewing supplies bear in mind that most sewing needles are carbon steel with nickel plating and those tend to rust after a while with intensive use
Getting stainless steel needles that can be sharpened without having to worry the rust, the hypoallergenic nature of stainless steel or simply food/surgical grade material can be used as suture needles in real emergency.
As part of prepping I am making my own sewing needles, it's a highly sought after skill in medieval and pre industrial period. Instead of having to resort to making bone and wooden needles the ability to make metal needles that is more or less the quality of factory made needles is going to maintain quality of life in a post collapse situation or prolonged global supply chain disruption.
Next up would be the ability to maintain or produce tools, sharpening knives, screwdrivers and scissors would be very important as daily tools do wear out after use, the lack of option to purchase, or with the prices of goods skyrocketing in disruption could very well mean your ability to repair tools is going to leverage your accessibility to protection by people.
Blacksmith, Tailor, Doctor etc would be very important skill that people might want to snatch you instead of your supplies.
Having soldering kit to repair or even salvage parts to fabricate improvised electronics would be highly sought after, as electronics makes up a big part of modern living, fixing the ventilation fan, air-conditioning or even power supply in solar or generators.
Essentially of all the items in your prepping list, try to learn skill to repair if not produce them, even if quality is sub par currently in emergency situation the ability to make those items are going to give you an edge as supplies do run out eventually.
Next important skill is production and processing food, especially pickles and preservation skill, which even with the best ability to repair refrigerators the odds are with prolonged disruption and industrial collapse unstable grid and expensive refrigerators is going to limit your ability to stockpile food.
I'm so sorry for having fun with this shit.you do you.Rock on preppers !
Also it depends on what part of the country you're in on Ammo . In my area, it seems like people are heavy on ammor .
I have a recent road atlas hard copy.
I really wouldn't worry to much about car parts as there won't be any gas in a collapse. Now bicycle parts would be smart, especially extra inner tubes, chains and pedals.
i believe in my life time , we will see another great depression like the 1930 s . with the cost of living going up , the way government spending money it wont be long . this is why i am a prepper glad i live in the country . have the knowledge skills and ways to live off the land .
I completely agree. And sooner than most people like to believe. People assume it will be fine because it has been for so long.
UHHH WE ARE IN ONE NOW !!!
Have plenty of Valium on hand. To calm your loved ones down you are the man of the house it is your responsibility to protect it and try to bring as much comfort to your family as possible.
What good are car parts without gas ?
I have a hard copy of information that I see is important. Electronic media is great but not in a grid down situation.
There's no way to prepare for all things but the list you compiled is a pretty good starting point for a list of barterable items to get those things you haven't considered until they are not available. I am kind of surprised that you did not mention water. I suppose you'd put that in the food category.
Great point. I never thought about water when I was putting together notes.
That was the first thing
You shouldn't even have to "think" about water. duh
Flashlights alone won't cut it when the power goes out for an extended period. Fuel lamps are good to have, but even they run out of fuel. There are several newer lamps available pretty cheap that use LED light. They can be powered by batteries, a magneto crank arm, a USB port, or a solar cell on the top... so there is no scenario whereas you cannot charge them up. I bought 10 of these on Amazon for $20 each. I had good light throughout my home recently during a blackout.
Correction for video you don’t need candles you need wicks and latern oil less space
I would think one of the most important things you might have mentioned but I missed it is long-term food storage canned goods MRE type meals. Food in the store will disappear by day 2 probably day one
Ammo, booze, meds, water, food.
Notes on AMMO.
I am reloading. It took some cash to start, but I am making the following ammo for these prices.
223 $6.00 for a box of 20
9mm $7.50 for a box of 50
380 $7.00 for a box of 50
20 gauge birdshot $6.00 for a box of 25
410 bore birdshot $4.50 for a box of 25
410 bore 000 buckshot 3 per $2.00 per box of 5
It took an investment of over a thousand dollars, but I have recouped this investment after total of 500 pistol rounds, 300 shotshell rounds and 450 rifle rounds. Now I'm making some cheap to shoot and stockpile ammo. Got years worth.
With the usual disclaimers, check you local laws, your mileage may vary and there may be shortages. Stock it deep, keep it cool and dry and date and rotate your stock.
Primers just 4 years ago sold for $40/thousand. Now around $90-100 per thousand. At one point you could not find them anywhere.
Also primers and powder require special shipping that ammo doesn't, so buying online costs an extra $20-40 for shipping. These are definitely a buy local item.
What do you plan on shooting with all that ammo ?
@@sloppydog4375 hobby practice mostly, maybe some competition. Some years the wife and I go through 4,000 rounds each. Other years as little as 1,000 rounds each. We are old and slow, might look like a target. so we carry with hollow points regularly.
And on the outside chance that the local militia needs it I will be glad to trade it for some work in the garden or some kitchen help for my wife.
I would add, that the 4 firearms that are going to do you the most good, are:
12 gauge pump shotgun (OO shells)
compact 9mm (Hornady Critical Defense 115 grain FTX)
A Henry Lever action 22 rifle (perfect for defense AND hunting small game)
A 38 Special revolver (not a snub, but something like the Cimarron Model P Jr. with a 5.5 inch barrel, chambered with +p self defense hollow points) It's an easy to use weapon, by someone that doesn't have a lot of experience with guns, and it has adequate stopping power, and it's almost malfunction-proof)

After hurricane Katrina I saw results from surveys that were done after different natural disasters: fires, floods, earthquakes, hurricanes... The number 1 item on that list that people wished they had on hand was cash. For years I saved a $20 bill every week or so. When the pandemic hit toilet paper became much more valuable, since people were avoiding cash. Don't get me wrong, that was one of only a handful of disasters that make cash somewhat useless.
Thanks. In a lot of disaster $5 may become more valuable than $5. Like you said though, it depends on the situation.
WHAT'S THE POINT WHEN DEATH IS INEVITABLE ?
Don’t forget about clams. There’s gonna be a major run on clams when SHTF. Stock up while you can.

Realistically how long do you think you can survive in a situation when Everything has gone down the toilet & the only thing you have to live on is what you have stocked up on . I guarantee you there will be something you didn’t think about that you need . Oh don’t for get about the people that did not prepare at all soon they will go on the hunt for the things that you have . Car parts was silly. In a grid down no vehicle is going to be running without fuel. You can’t get fuel without power to pump it out of the ground. You are going to be grounded where ever you are and don’t expect help to come for you, but do expect thugs to come in gangs rob you.
In my area at the beginning and theough the pandemic, ammo quickly became a barter item. Many anti gun people in my area quickly became gun owners. Pet food was hard to come by as well. Chickens, egg laying hens, were also being bartered. Not saying this is for everyone. Just thought i'd toss it out there for ya'll to think what was immediately difficult to get.
@nathandively8524 Isn't it strange how anti-gun folks change their minds so quick when things get a bit rough. I remember when Obama was in office. Folks switched up real quick.

But in addition I would add buying a Father Christmas beard soaked in Southern Comfort which would be great for getting a fire going...in fact you might even be able to get this for free from someone very drunk and dressed up (as Father Christmas) at an Xmas office party!🤣🤣🤣
Assuming you meant "lint" might be easier to start collecting from the dryer screen. Cotton balls with petroleum jelly works well.
Saved the best for last I’d stack the ammo first though
You mentioned chargers for electronics. Wall chargers, Solar chargers/generators AND 12 volt chargers. A 12volt car battery may not start the car but will have enough power to charge your electronics with the right adapter.
Spot on. I have enough bits and bobs on hand to charge gadgets from a car battery. And invertors , ups etc that can run from them. A couple of small solar panels to slowly recharge.
A two gallon pump sprayer makes a great waterconserving shower
One rule: Most stuff SHOULDN'T be bought if it won't give you any use in everyday life (maybe except prescription meds).
Especially vices, you're really gonna buy cigarettes (that you don't even smoke), which don't have any other purpose just in case you MIGHT trade them?
Great point. The potential that you'll need to throw it away is much higher than that you'll need it.
Don’t forget candy bars 😊
How do you get antibiotics without a prescription? Everything I've researched has stated it's illegal to buy without a prescription.
Canadian pepper had an online antibiotic source for people and animals.
Us country folks have such a great advantage especially having wooded acres. Plus the self subsisting skills that are part of everyday life. The people who live in metro areas will die in masses in very little time mostly from killing each other. It's best they not think about coming out here and trying to take what we have. They can just save themselves the trip and die in the city. The farther you live from any metro the safer you will be.

Tell me how that's going to help when you and your family's lives are in danger of being snuffed out because hordes of desperate people, who failed to prep, come after you for what you have.

In a near collapse situation I think the gas stations would no longer be in service. Your vehicle will likely not break down or need maintenance from the 5 tanks of gas you can siphon before all the tanks run dry in all the vehicles. Unless people are refining crude oil in their backyard there will be no gasoline availability to the average citizen. 7:0
What about an egress plan if it gets really bad in the area that you're at have a back-up plan of where you would go. The problem with leaving the security of your home is the roads would become extremely dangerous you would be taking huge gambles by trying to regress.

Mountain and 1 gear bikes are going to be the best version of travel. Purification tablets and water filters are going to be priceless along with food. People are very irrational so I’d say wait it out for as long as possible and have a route or 20 for areas you are going to hit after shit hits the fan for supplies is what I’m working on. I’ve been running and keeping my cardio levels as high as possible also plan on taking mma classes. Most people are going to die because they aren’t in proper shape, carrying around a 50-100lbs bag with all your shit if you’re scavenging is hard as hell especially if you’re on foot. Knowing how to not only defend yourself but also able to subdue and maybe even kill someone with your bare hands is going to be essential if for instance you can’t get to your gun or knife in time or someone attacks you from behind. If you can mimic James Bond or John wick in a way you’ll be at a serious advantage. People don’t think about being in shape, having routes and knowing self defense and proper shooting, but when the world collapses it’s just like the walking dead but without the zombies.
