Their humility. Their bond. So refreshing. Can't believe they're both still very young, yet are so brilliant at songwriting and performing. I just cannot even imagine how their parents feel seeing them on this journey.
You are SO right about “humility.” They won a similar award at the Palm Springs Film Festival, and at 7:50 of this video, Finneas talks about feeling fortunate/lucky…and knowing lots of people who have talent, and who work hard - but who haven’t enjoyed the same kind of success. It's always annoying when interviewers fail to realize that Billie Eilish & Finneas work as a team. Sure, it's Billie's voice who you hear in the music. But Finneas co-writes the songs alongside his sister, and he also is the producer of the songs. Those two traits are just as valuable to the art of music as the voice behind it.
Not to mention how Finneas is a genuinely great singer in his own right.
It’s not just the interviewers. Billie says, “I” consistently in interviews and Finneas says “we”.
But Billie just said "They gave ME a standing ovation" when her brother was performing alongside her. I guess because vocals are what will make or break a performance.

Ok... Interviewers need to let Phineas talk more too. Billie is fantastic, but it's easier to be amazing when you have a creative genious by your side to rely on. So... I applaude Phineas for staying with Billie, cause he has the chops to do it alone, if he wants to. And we have to aknowledge that too. Giving him time in the spotlight too.

It’s funny. I was just thinking how it doesn’t make sense to me, this idea of your sibling being your best friend and someone that you love and trust. I have an older brother and I just can’t wrap my brain around the idea of feeling things like trust, love and appreciation for a sibling. People always talk to them like this is so nice this is with their sibling, but I find it so foreign, it’s just bizarre to me, the idea that an older brother would actually be nice to a younger sister.
I have three older brothers but one I lived with every day and was super close to growing up. He’s seven years older and taught me how to read, ride a bike, drive a car. We’re 50 and 43 now and still the best of friends, we even live in the same house (this is a fairly recent thing, even tho we were roommates about 20 years ago for a short time). I think a lot of it was our mom always telling us that we always needed to have each other’s backs. Part of why im such a fan of Billie and Finneas is how much their bond reminds me of my brother and myself
Finneas - in truth - set the right /correct/ tone of song of how it should pick-up pace with this particular melody. He had sense of what should be the base of this great, simple, song.
I hate the interviewer is leaning into trying to interview Billie Eilish as her brother is not there. You can see like a lot of like her just staring directly at her and making Eilish Billy very uncomfortable, and she just can kind of feel that she’s being like singled out and even the fact that she keeps doing it even Bailey starts to address herself as like just her on stage and not us like the fact that he would they were both up there.

So very true, but then Billie also said she got the standing ovation...she really should have said WE. It's the two of them that's the magic.
They could try n top that Oscar performance I went over before this video watch grammys version is 8.8 /10 but Oscars version / aka recording is something from another planet. Im glad they have decided to let the song rest. That song is as good if not more powerful than imagine from john lennon.. took me a moment to type that before typing it but I feel its a monument of a song they had to have been devastated with joy once that track was written.
